Half of what I tried to order, they were out of. For fast food, it takes a little long to get the food. I ordered the 2 piece fish. One of those pieces was delicious and the other piece had a very thick almost gummy breading. Gross. This is the 2nd A&W/LJS location I’ve been to that’s left me dissatisfied.

Service and staff are very helpful and friendly. Restaurant visable areas as well as the washroom(men’s) are clean and neat. Love the A+W root beer as it goes with everything you order. Location has plenty of parking and located close to I80 allowing you to drop in grab a bite and get back on the road extremely easy. Food quality is good especially for the price. Not wimpy skinny fries which somehow became the standard everywhere which is nice for oldies like me. One sad thing is that the root beer is no longer served in frosty glass which was very unique and we’re very enjoyable. I wouldn’t mind paying extra to get this part of A+W back. Would have given them 5 stars if they still had the frosty glasses for the root beer.

Pleasant surprise coming across this spot on my way home from the Poconos. This is one of my favorite combo fast-food restaurants, A&W and Long john Silvers. I thoroughly enjoy their fried fish, but it’s that much better when you enjoy it with some A&W Root Beer. The menu here is on the brief side basically only listing the meal options, but it seems they have everything if you just ask for it. Service wasn’t great. Not rude, just unenthusiastic/disinterested. The biggest disappointment was that they took out the stand alone root beer tap that I remembered from my youth. Used to love filling up a frosty mug with cold root beer before enjoying some fried fish, clams, shrimp, or chicken with some hush puppies. They still have it in the fountain machine, but it’s not the same nostalgic feel. That’s why I can only do 3 stars. Still worth the stop though.

I have never been to a Long John Silvers and A&W I last went to a lifetime ago when they were in Massachusetts. We stopped for a quick lunch with the hopes of having a fish mcnugget type of snack. We decided on soup(broc and cheese= best thing we had) Husband got fish tenders and I got a cranberry walnut chicken salad. My salad came with fried chicken cut up on top, a packet of nuts and cranberries and dressing. I fixed the salad and took a bite of the«lettuce» it was made out of cabbage!!! The whole salad was cabbage leaves… really. So the girl who was at the register was wiping down tables and I asked her if the salads were supposed to be made with cabbage as I never ate there before, she looked at me blankly and said«I don’t know. then proceeded to ignore me. I went to the counter with my salad and asked another worker the same thing and she got the manager who apologized and made me a new salad. I am glad I didn’t go thru the drive thru. Cashier girl should be fired because her customer service sucked. If I could find the receipt I would post her name. Manager and other workers were wonderful. Not in a hurry to visit another Long John Silvers.

Stopped last night and have crazing some good fried fish. I should have got a fish filet from McDonald’s. hush puppies were soggy balsa of grease, fish was over battered, greasy and bland. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to wayward and get something healthy.

Check out their food safety inspection record with the PA Department of Agriculture for White Haven PA. No other retaurant has more violations than they do, and only a few have as many.

It was more of the A&W sign than the Long John Silvers portion that drew me in… Either way, it wasn’t a good visit. The burger that I ordered was about as lukewarm as the service that’s given there. I’m not unrealistic to the point that I expect every fast food place to cook your food fresh. But when a place is empty, that’s the least that you can do for your customers. I would have been better off throwing money for toll out the window while driving through the EZ-Pass lane. I can’t stand seeing those tempting meals on the posters, and not being served anything close to what’s advertised.

Tired of watching commercials for Long John Silvers and not ever seeing one in the Tri-state area? Well no more! For I have gone on a road trip and finally tried a Long John Silvers, and it is not bad at all! Basically it is a giant fried seafood place. It has a nice outdoor seating area(which was great, because then we could eat with the dog nearby). The service was friendly, even though our order took a while to get.

Hadn’t been in one of these for years. Food always the same. Good fast food, but certainly not the healthiest.

Food ok, service at register very slow. No one there for almost 5 mins. That is a long, long time to wait at the counter. Especially when you are on a long road trip. Had the fish, chicken and clams. Fish was fishy tasting. Never a good sign. The chicken was quite tasty with a nice crisp coating. The clams were also very good and the skin-on fries were strangely appealing for fast food For some reason, Unilocal would not let me check in, even though I was sitting in the restaurant. Fairly clean floor. Would have given a much better rating if someone was just availble to take my money and get my order going!

This location is a Long John Silver’s /A&W co-branded restaurant located at the intersection of Route 940, I-80, and I-476. Prices are a bit higher than Long John Silver’s restaurants at other locations. However, fried fish does go well with A&W root beer. I had no problems with service and cleanliness on this visit.
