Came here while on our trip to Lake Havasu. I was trying to find a place to eat on Unilocal and this place looked pretty good. And I was right! This place is so good! I’m usually don’t like breakfast food but to me this is the best I’ve ever had. I also had the best Bloody Mary ever. I really wish this was back in California. I will be coming here whenever I visit in the future.

I am not sure how the Red Onion compares to other restaurants in Havasu. I’m guessing the mediocre quality was based on the business model used to try to maintain a successful restaurant there. The venue is ok, it was definitely clean. The servers all seemed to be busily attending the customers. Ours was prompt and friendly. I ordered: scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy with sausage. The eggs were absolutely hammered! I don’t believe that they were powdered eggs, but they were cooked into oblivion. The sausage was a greasy, flavorless meat substance that was obviously sliced from some plastic cylinder and the biscuits were dried out and really hard. I could have lived with all that if the«gravy» was anything close to gravy. It was definitely excess grade school paste repurposed and repackaged by the likes of SYSCO. I like the idea of the Red Onion and I liked the people. The food… Awful.

I was so excited about this new, fun, hip, amazing spot to come into the neighborhood. Since the opening I have been in three times. 1st– time was their second week opened. Food was great! There was a little confusion as we sat at the bar and they seemed to be understaffed– but hey 2 weeks open, no worries! 2nd time — they had been open 2 months and we thought we would check out lunch on a week day. We got there a little before opening, waited 10 minutes after the«opening time» and walked away, as we were walking to the parking lot at 11:10 they opened the door– no Bueno 3rd time — A NEWBREAKFASTSPOT! Yaaaassss! To my dismay there was 1 server, 10 open tables(obviously 1 person can’t run an entire restaurant, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy) and a 30 minute wait– on a SUNDAY morning. I’m not sure what’s going on with the staffing, or management but it is truly disappointing as I wanted this to be my neighborhood gem.

Corned Beef Hash — the place across the street called Black Bear Diner definitely has waaaay better Corned Beef Hash. I was in town for a weekend and tried both. Here it has very little meat and a lot of potatoes. At Black Bear it’s real shredded corned beef.

We arrived for lunch and were directed to the second half near the bar where there were more tables. After 15 minutes with no menu, no drinks, nothing but staff ingoring us, we left. It could have been longer.

Great breakfast spot. Good coffee, my food was exactly how I wanted it, great ambience and OK service(we had to grab our own menus and coffee refills). I love how it’s all open and comfortable.

Go! Beautiful setting, great food. Great coffee, city wide wifi available for an hour, great consignment store next door, fun street to walk on and browse, and the omelets and menu were great. Just do it!

Delicious food and very friendly service! We had Eggs Benedict and veggie omelet, both were spot on. Their blended raspberry white chocolate mocha was scrumptious. Definitely recommended!

Food was pretty good but service was really slow. Our server was nice but after waiting nearly 2 hours for our food we asked what was taking so long and the manager gave a really rude response. Will not come back to this place. The food was not worth the wait.

As long as you enjoy being up charged for everything, rude service, being given incorrect food, and ignored, this is the place for you. Our waitress brought my salad out with the dressing on it despite the fact that I ordered it on the side, and never checked back on us once. ONCE. She brought my husband’s gluten free salad out with CRACKERS on the plate. She charged me 50 cents for 5 strips of red onion. We had to wait in a long line to ask to pay.

Two friends and I went to Havasu from Vegas to celebrate my birthday in February 2016. On our way out of town, we decided upon the Red Onion for breakfast. We had about a 10 – 15 minute wait, so we had a drink at the bar and the staff there were very friendly. The hostess called out for us and we began to follow after her, but she was walking so fast(mind you, this place is busy with people crossing all over the place) that I pretty much had to figure out where she placed our menus because by the time we made it to our table, she was half way back to her podium by the door. Ok. that was rude, but we moved on. About ten minutes later, we were ready to order, and we all wanted breakfast. The waitress said: «oh, they didn’t tell you?.. were not serving breakfast.» At first, I thought it was a joke(all they serve is bfast and lunch), but she was serious. No, we did not know that because the hostess could bot be bothered to even wait until we got to the table before she left. Anyway, we regrouped and took some time to decide on lunch items. She returned and took our orders which consisted of two cold sandwiches and a salad. We waited for an hour… no food, no checking in by the waitress.nothing. We did start to notice people who arrived after us were leaving after having eaten their meals. Strangers began to comment to us that: «wow, you guys were here first, you guys should he eaten before us!» These are strangers who notice this! Finally, fed up, we leave and walk out to see what other options we have. Seconds later, THREE of the staff confront us outside and ask us if we are done waiting for out food. «Yes,» we tell them because we have been there for over an hour waiting on COLD foods. We are hungry, we are done with it. They were rude and condescending. It was uncomfortable and completely inappropriate and unprofessional! How dare they confront us in such a manner! They could not be bothered to ask us if we wanted more water or assure us that our food was coming, but they can track us down to pay for the mimosa we genuinely forgot about paying for because we were waiting for OVERANHOURFORCOLDFOOD! We called to speak to Steve, the owner and he was unavailable and the manager on the phone was LITERALLY too busy to hear our concern or take down our info to give to Steve. So, Steve, if that is how your employees behave, you have a serious problem on your hands, my friend. We went there because of the good reviews. We are tourists in your town and it is unfortunate that this was our experience. Best of luck. We will never return there when we come back to Havasu. We will be going to the grilled cheese shop across the street again instead.

I happen to be providing this establishment with(2) stars due to the fact the food is good. On the other hand for breakfast they are WAY over priced. Expect to pay approximately close to $ 40. for two persons. Way to much. You can get as good or better elsewhere in town.

We decided to visit Red Onion on Sunday afternoon while on vacation. When we arrived we discovered that it wadabout t minutes before they clos3d for the day We were preparing to leave when one of the staff welcomed us in for lunch. Everything was wonderful from the service to the food. We will be returning and will recommend all of our friends to visit the Red Onion when at Lake Havasu.

While vacationing in the area over the 4th of July week-end I ate here twice. Each time the wait was approximately 45 min. but it was well worth the wait. Even though I ate during lunch time I ordered breakfast each time. The eggs were so fluffy and fresh. The toast seems to have been freshly baked then toasted; it is so delicious. There is a fresh piece of fruit that comes with the meal. I loved my California Benny’s — this was an eggs Benedict. Eggs Benedict is difficult to master but they had it down pat. The sauce was smooth, there was a nice amount of meat and spinach. They have two rooms to eat inside and tables outside with misting spray to cool you off. The service was friendly and fast. They are located off a main strip and behind the restaurant are some cool art and clothing stores.

We stopped by for breakfast/brunch around 10 or 10:30 on a Sunday after camping. The Service — It was pretty busy so we had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes for a table. We ended up sitting outside half in and half out of the shade which sucked since it was really hot! I wish they had a fully covered patio. Our server was fine but it took what seemed like forever for our food to come out. The Food — I had the BLT with turkey added and steak fries. The sandwich was solid and it had a ton of mayo which I love! I also tried one of the omelettes which had marinara sauce, peppers and other stuff which I can’t remember. It was delicious! The home fries were also bomb. They were seasoned very well. The Prices — The prices were average, about $ 10 to $ 10 per plate. My BLT was $ 8 but extra $ 2 for turkey and $ 1 for steak fries. This was a cute spot and the patio was dog friendly which is always nice.

Fresh mozzarella sticks, awesome sandwiches, and amazing cocktails! This place is awesome! Service was great. Steak sandwich was huge and tender. Italian sandwich was better than anywhere I’ve had one prior to. The emergen«c» cocktail was really goooood! The mozzarella sticks, have to be made here. Not the frozen ones you normally get at restaurants. You definitely should come here!
