Compared to most of the other places in Lake Jackson, this place is great. The food is good, and they serve some items that you won’t find anywhere else around here. There’s a good drink selection, and I’ve always had excellent service. This is easily my favorite place to watch the UFC fights.

A great place to grab a beer, food is excellent and offers a different variety especially for the area, best place to watch a game in lake Jackson

Fun environment, good food, but in my opinion some of their food options come too salty!

This place is excellent! My fiancé and I have lived here a couple months and have probably been here half a dozen times or more. Their Rubens Balls are AWESOME. Their beer selection is good, and so is their food. It’s a nice atmosphere as well. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 is sometimes their service could use a little improvement. Mostly just in regards to checking back on their tables a bit more. Regardless, i’ll still gladly go back many many more times.

This place is great! And in Lake Jackson! We started with 2 apps, the Scottish eggs. They were the best I have ever had! And the spinach dip one of the best for sure. Then for dinner I had the Ruben burger. It was very good! Only suggestion is I would ask for a side of the Thousand island sauce as there wasn’t much on It to give it that Ruben punch. And SAVEROOMFORDESSERT! oh WOW the Cobblers mainly the blackberry was just like Grandma’s. It was great and a must get! I would recommend this location if you are in the area. I will be back on the weekend they are supposed to have live music.

Not one of my favorites. The food tasted frozen and the margaritas were nasty. Nothing too special.

Service is 5 stars. Drink selection great. Food is ok. It has been really hot inside there this summer. Might as well sit outside. Said something to bartender, was told staff knew and had no power to do anything about it. Don’t know if they’re try to save $ on ac bill or what. Would give couple more stars if not for that.

I’ve been here quite a bit and have loved it every time except for today. The flies were horrendous, we had to change tables to one near the middle of the pub just to get away from them.

My first visit. I ordered my food to go. Very noisy place which is probably normal. I was going to order Fish and Chips, but opted for Bangers and Mash. The food temp was okay and tasted fresh, but I felt as if I were eating German Bratwurst on top of mashed potatoes with brown gravy. Baked beans were soupy. Mashed Potatoes I thought were supposed to have a trace of cabbage cooked in them? Did not seem to have any. They were not bad. I am not sure if Bangers are supposed to taste exactly like Bratwurst? The service was good and the hostess was very nice. Maybe I will try the Fish and Chips next visit. The Bangers just did not appeal to me, plus it was a little pricey I thought for what I was getting.

Sure, the concept is a little cheesy, but it’s a comfortable spot with a decent beer selection and pretty good service. The food is also pretty respectable and sometimes even regrettable, but in a good way. They aren’t afraid to to stick to their guns with menu items like scotch eggs and shepherds pie. All in all, it’s good place to grab a pint and I’m pretty sure that’s all they were going for.

I went for the first time to this pub last night. As I walked in it look like I was in an English pub. The ceilings were decorated beautifully, long wood bar, the waitresses were outstanding. They had copious amounts of brews and liquor on hand. There were a few televisions broadcasting the basketball tournament. Their brews were cold the mix drinks tasted wonderfully the atmosphere was awesome and the waitresses did an outstanding job. I did not try the food. I will try the food next time I go.

We LOVED this place!!! We were looking for a place to get a drink while visiting family in LJ and this exceeded our expectations. The prices are extremely reasonable with good selection!!! When we were visiting we got to enjoy live music, and it was great! We also tried the shepherds pie and scotch eggs and I definitely recommend both! This is better than a dive bar but still small enough to feel like you’re at home!

I have been here quite a few times now. I am convinced it is one of my favorite pubs in Lake Jackson. Everything there has been excellent. Service, appetizers, entrees, have all been spot on! The beers they offer are excellent and the bar tenders know exactly how to describe them to you. And if you don’t know if you like it, you can have a tasting of about 12 flights. If like traditional irish pub food, this is the place to go. But, even if you don’t like Irish food, there is plenty of great American dishes to please your pallet.

I consider myself VERY picky, but with that said, I LOVE this place! The only drawback is how SMALL it is(but that’s part of the charm, right?!). The Bangers & Mash is my favorite(although I haven’t tried too many others). The beer selection is amazing(not many bars around here carry such a wide selection of darks). Now the beans they serve as a side dish need to be TRASHED(taste like something cheap, right out of a can!), but otherwise… 5 stars!!!

Best bar in Lake Jackson Texas. Great selection of high end IPAs. Not too expensive and the food is good… not great but good. What makes it the best bar are two things: 1. The people who go there are great. Some of the most insightful conversations I’ve had in Texas have been at the bar in Wayside. 2. The second thing that makes it great is that you do not have to endure the loud thought absent country music spooooing out of the walls of other drinking establishments.

I gave 3 stars because I came yesterday and Cassie served us and it was fantastic. Good service and the fish tacos and smoked salmon salad were incredible. Today, however, we were served by Danielle and while she did an amazing job, the food really fell short. Two of our blackened cods appeared to be baked and were cold to the touch. The fish was also very dry and the coleslaw was literally tasteless. I would have understood if they were busy but there were only a couple of other tables occupied. Also, for an Irish /English style pub, the country music being played was borderline annoying. If it wasn’t for the excellent service I don’t think I’d ever come back but I do enjoy the ambience(as long as I close my ears) so we will see how things go on the next trip.

This place is great! I popped in during the lunch hour and sat at the bar. I didn’t try any food but they had a pretty good lunch menu. The atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly and the bartender knew what he was doing. Pete knows his stuff and is passionate about his liquor. He knows scotches and whiskey. I had probably the best Old Fashion ever! I’m glad I stopped by, well worth it.

What a wonderful place. Great atmosphere, great food, and really excellent service! Thank you very much to the staff and a special thank you to our patient waiter, Eric Watts! You rock. Big party and you never lost patience and kept up with the chaos. Our food and drinks were fantastic. If you’ve never been here, you must go. Martinis are EXCELLENT, by the way. And I love the Shepherds Pie.

A new pub and maybe the only pub in the Lake Jackson area. This place was packed on Thursday night. They have a pretty decent beer collection, a rarity in this area, both on draft and in bottles. The food is typical English pub food with an American twist. I had the English style nachos, amazing, which were described accurately as a Shepard pie on tortilla chips. The table next to us got chicken wings and while I didn’t try them they looked great! The place is relatively new and while I sat at the bar the bartenders were mixing new drinks for the menu. The service was a little slow but I think as time goes by this will be a great hang out place after work for the area.
