We came here because their hummus is terrific and they’re a local company, but we waited 30 minutes for our food when we were one of two tables. Probably understaffed. Food was decent but not worth the $ 12 per sandwich.

While working in town we decided to try out this place for lunch. Food was excellent and service was top notch. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast is served all day. Make sure to check out the daily specials.

Really great find!!! Staff is super helpful and friendly. Casual vibe – great for kids. Had the grilled veggie sandwich and it was wonderful. Warm grilled veggies, goat cheese, melted Gouda, mixed greens, tomato, pesto and tahini sauce. Generous size. Perfect. Husband got the maple granola with milk and loved it. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

I Had the Perfect Pancakes and while I was nervous ordering them(Brown rice, Buckwheat and Navy bean flour all kind of scared me) They were some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had! Its a little pricey for what you get. $ 7.00 for 4 small pieces of Bacon was a little ridiculous.

Absolute best food I had while visiting the Traverse City/Leelanau Peninsula area. It was a great find after spending the day bicycling around Lake Leelanau. The food was fresh and prepared well and the service very friendly. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.

This place(both as The Redheads and Kejara’s Bridge) was a lifesaver for all my summers spent at Lake Leelanau during my vegetarian years. The tofu pesto burrito is still one of my favorite dishes of all time. They also make killer smoothies and fudge brownies(which I believe are vegan). I’m hoping y’all know about the hummus and granola. If not, change that immediately. They highlight a lot of local artists inside the café, and clearly care about using local, organic ingredients as well. I’m so glad they decided to bring the full menu back, and will always stop by while I’m in town during the summers.

Absolutely delicious granola and choice of almond, soy or local dairy milk was a great surprise for our little critter. They have a tasting bar so you can try their various hummus recipes and sauces before you order. These items are all pretty tasty but the breakfast dishes, while very creative, need a little help with execution. Potatoes and beans were underdone in my breakfast burrito. Service was not particularly friendly but it might have been a bad day. Refills on coffee were 75¢. Prices a touch steep for breakfast. Not open on Monday and Tuesday.

Their garlic hummus is the BEST ever. I am super fussy about hummus and they make fantastic ones. Some local grocers carry it to so be sure to pick it up.

Our new favorite summer lunch place! this is a real find: sitting on the main highway that goes through Lake Leelanau, sits in a little red«shack» with a pergola out front and picnic table off to the side. Everything at this casual eatery is local sourced. They make a fantastic line of Hummus, all with natural delicious ingredients. We went here for lunch and left with other of their wonderful goods. We ordered the turkey and organic bacon sandwiches w. some special dressing that was light and deee-liscous! We ordered great lemonade and Arnold Palmers, made with a great flavorful red tea,(local) and served in icey mason jars with handles. We were wild about everything. They are super friendly and give you tastes of everything you ask for. They have a line of veggie burgers, that you can take out which comes in a cute chinese food container with their cool logo… clean, casual, upbeat. A perfect Michigan lunch!
