Catered to our hotel when we were staying in the area. Very affordable, very accommodating, and the food was good. I would definitely order from here again if I was in the area!

Not only is it great and exceptional food but the staff is friendly as well. Danny himself has always been very hospitable even since day 1! I was thrilled to see the northern flare of broasted chicken not only coming to central fl but also close to home! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED! Better alternative to Popeyes and KFC for sure! Thanks Danny! I look forward to stopping in soon!

Danny’s has gone way downhill from when it first opened. Too pricey!

Danny’s has gone way downhill from when it first opened. First off, I will say the food is fresh, so it does take about 25 minutes from placing your order until it’s ready. Not a big deal unless you’re kind of in a rush and want to order in advance… no menus online. No Facebook page, no webpage… nothing. Kind of inconvenient. The owner wasn’t there, so I’m not sure if this had anything to do with it, but the chicken flavor is now bland. It used to be very flavorful, but it’s very bland. It needed salt and pepper at home. The sides were terrible this time around. Half of the wedges were burned, the macaroni and cheese tasted like it was just elbow macaroni with cheez wiz. It was not the same delicious moist chicken and hot tasty sides from over a year ago. I was very disappointed. I couldn’t bring this up to anyone because Danny wasn’t there and just two teenage guys were. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Far far from home I go to try new food in different cities. Danny’s located in Lake Mary had great reviews and had to make it a point to stop by. Broasting: Verb Prepare food using a cooking process that combines broiling and roasting.(Thank you Google for educating me) The interior is definitely sporty. Lots of NFL banners encompass the inside. Lots of football pictures in a frame and ESPN playing on their flatscreen. Danny is a big Green Bay fan. Some of the locals were here early getting the daily lunch special. Leg, thigh, and wing. Two sides come with it. Daily Special. Broasted chicken. Leg, Thigh, and Wing with Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw. As the reviews mentioned, the cole slaw was okay. The Mac and Cheese I really liked. Broasted chicken was just right. It was tasty and it wasn’t greasy at all. This concept works for me.

Nothing special. Just overpriced fried chicken cooked a different way. Mooooove along!

The chicken is definitely different, and the daily special is the way to go. I paid about $ 11 for a soda, 3 huge pieces of chicken, some coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes are kinda gross, I tried that and wrote it off. The coleslaw was better but also not amazing. Fries were okay. The chicken though made up for all that. Super crispy skin, juicy on the inside. No gross breading. Better sides would bump up the star rating for sure.

This place doesn’t seem to have a website, but if you’re ever on Lake Mary Blvd and want to get the most delicious«broasted» chicken, this is the place. Broasting is kind of a high pressure fryer that gets rid of all the grease and makes for a really moist chicken. The counter person when we were there is a probably the most conscientious fast-casual employee I’ve ever experienced… has everyone’s name memorized.

This is simply the best chicken I have had! I have been hooked since the first day I stopped in to get a quick bite while on the run. I chose the chicken tenders. Which are fresh chicken tenderloins. Marinated and dipped in a little seasoned flour. Broasted«which is a commercial high pressure fryer» type of method and the chicken is juicy and tender and not really greasy! The regular broasted chicken is also insanely delicious… My favorite comfort food. I will say though that all of the sides are not homemade but they give you plenty to feed the whole family at a really great value. If you are in the area, you must go. Danny usually cooks the food himself and his niece Kathryn is adorable and super sweet. I have always had excellent service and fantastic food!

Unique way to make fried chicken, with an even more mixed crowed that ranges from the muscle heads from the gym next door, to crack heads that may not even have a shelter. The Snow birds(Rich elderly that likes to migrate to FL to escape the cold) gathers to mow down this stuff like cream of potatoe soup. As a matter of a fact, everyone is either waiting or tearing it up like it’s the last meal. And what a long wait it is, about 15 minutes for a small meal for one person. The chicken is moist but salty like the deep green ocean an hour away. Cool concept, but falls short of expectations. Since the owner is a Green Bay Packers fan, maybe add a twist with cheese and call it Bro’sCheecken?

I went back today and the chicken was good, but not as I remembered. The coleslaw was different more vinegar tasting. The service was quick and the girl upfront couldn’t have been nicer. The chicken was great, but I liked it better in the past.

Danny’s was a mixed«chicken» basket for us. We ordered the 8 piece dinner which included, two sides plus potatoes and rolls. Their fried chicken is incredibly juicy with a really light, very crispy coating. The sign said it is marinated but I didn’t pick up on any flavor other than chicken. So if you prefer your fried chicken seasoned, you are left to your own devices here and that basically means salt, pepper and hot sauce on the table. So as far as juiciness and crunchiness is concerned this was the bomb but it fell a little short for me on the seasoning profile. I prefer food that is infused with layers of flavor. But that’s just me. The sides we chose were the mac & cheese and baked beans and these both left us cold. They were both very average and again lacked flavor. Move along — nothing to see here. We also got the potato wedges which are hand cut on site and they were fine. The rolls were your basic soft dinner rolls. As far as the leftovers were concerned, we actually found that this chicken maintained a really good level of crispiness after reheating in a 350 degree oven. I can’t speak for cold out of the fridge. So if you are craving some really juicy, crispy chicken and you are a chicken purest I think you will love Danny’s Broasted chicken. However, this is not the place for creative sides or interestingly flavor profiles. There are no surprises here, just good basic(if slightly bland) food. Service is friendly and very personable.

Went there for lunch and my wife and I had a great experience. There was only one server that took our order, but she was super friendly. She checked up on us and refilled our drinks promptly. She was great, and I wish we would get servers like her at other places. I ordered the buffalo chicken strips and they were great. The sauce wasn’t too hot, but perfect and the tenders themselves were perfect. Not too crispy but not mush. My wife got the«Thighs and Fries» combo and her chicken was perfect. Also the crinkle cut french fries were cooked perfect. Nice and crispy! We will definitely go back as the prices were reasonable, the service was great, and the food was delicious.

Some of the BEST fried chicken I had had in a looong time! Chicken is obviously fresh, not frozen(how novel these days!) and you can taste it in every bite. Tasty and juicy without being too greasy. 5 stars on the fired chicken! Unfortunately I cannot say the same things about the wings I ordered. They had a texture to the meat that was not like fresh, more like previously frozen. Why would this be when the«regular» chicken is so obviously fresh? Baked Beans — VERY good, flavorful. Cole Slaw — OK, but a touch laking in being anything spedial. Better than edible and good quality. Potato Wedges — Excellent. Real potatos with a dusting of the same dredge used for the chicken. Firm but cooked, flavorful. Gravy — Really, Really Good. Which brings me to the last thing — the Mashed Potatos. They seem to be INSTANT?! Good lord WHY? The texture and taste put my mind right back in my school cafeteria in the 70’s. You have real potatos on hand for the wedges, why not real potato for the mash??? This one has me baffled completely. Why would you put such a great gravy on instant mashed potatos??? A little inconsistant for reasons mentioned above, and the only reason they don’t get 5 stars from me, So close… but PLEASEDO go get their fried chicken, it is the star.

Buckets of Broasted are phenomenal! I get them spicy with Buffalo sauce. Make sure you get the sauce on the side so the chicken is nice and crispy when you bite in. This place is best for take out but does alright for eat in, too. They have a TV for sports but it is really set up for Danny to watch TV while he cooks. Order wings from the bucket menu and not just an order of regular wings and you’ll be shocked at how huge they are.

First let me start off by saying that this is not a «Southern» restaurant. For those who don’t know, «broasting»(which is basically pressure-cooker frying) really reached its greatest popularity in the MidWest. There really is a Danny here, and he is a huge Green Bay fan because he’s from that area. That being said, I can’t say enough great things about Danny’s. The food is fresh, consistently delicious and different. It’s different both in that broasted chicken is a totally different taste than fried, and that they’re always putting something new on the menu(burgers, fish fries, etc.) The service is fantastic, and they’re huge supporters of the community(Lake Mary High, for example.) Finally, it’s a great value, too. No frills, laid back, affordable, delicious, and unique.

Danny’s is some of the best chicken I’ve tasted!!! It takes a bit longer to cook but it’s soooo worth it. The staff is super friendly and on top of things even when it’s super busy in there. Members of our church filled the place a few times and the orders came out very quickly. My family of 3 can eat for about $ 14 when we order one of the family combos. So worth every bite! Check them out when you can! Oh and now they have $ 1 Draft beer as well. Support a locally owned and operated family business, go to Danny’s!

Cute little local-owned spot. Has about 10 tables in and outside and does a nice take out business. I love me some fried chicken and theirs is good, but this whole«broasted/cooked under pressure» claim to fame does not seem too different from what Colonel Sanders did with KFC. Except Danny’s does not hold up to refrigeration too well at all. Eat it fresh-cooked when it’s hot and juicy. Sad, though, cause I love cold, leftover fried chicken. Oooh, one menu highlight is Disco Fries. French fries, covered with oozy, gooey cheese served with delicious brown gravy. Soooo artery-hardening and delish!
