Hunt Eyecare

Dr. Hunt and his staff are wonderful because they care about your eye health. My family and I have been going here for several years. They treat us well. My son enjoys coming here. However, he misses the toy room. Dr. Hunt is great with us. He explains everything before and during our visit. Also, Heather is so patient and kind. She always makes sure everything works out with our insurance. This is the best place to go to get your eyes checked and to purchase your eyewear.

I woke up with a throbbing pain in my eye on a Friday (kind of felt like something was inside of it). I called three other optometrists and all of them didn’t seem concerned and said they can make an appointment for Monday as I was literally in tears on the phone. I called Hunt Eyecare and not only were they concerned with my eye, but they told me to come in right away.
Turns out that there was a open wound in my eye. Dr. Hunt was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very clearly. He gave me eye steroids and anti inflammatory. We made a follow up appointment the next morning. The next day, my eye was 90% better. No more pain! Still blurry but getting better.
Dr. Hunt was looking out for my best interests when it came to everything, including price! I will definitely be switching my eye doctor! Thank you Dr. Hunt and team (which were all very friendly as well!)

I suppose if you have «normal» vision you may not put a lot of thought into your eye doctor. I have Mr. Magoo vision. I’ve worn rigid gas permeable lenses for over 20 years, glasses for over 25. Getting new contacts was always an ordeal, until I met Dr. Hunt. For 20 years, doctor after doctor would take 2 or 3 attempts to get my contacts right. Either the prescription was off, or the shape wasn’t comfortable. Dr. Hunt got my contacts right on the first try, and has continued to get them right year after year. Dr. Hunt always explains everything he’s looking for and how different parts of your eye work, what I should be concerned about, and what’s normal.
Heather has been a part of his staff for as long as I have been seeing Dr. Hunt. She let’s me know what my insurance will cover, she lets me know what my portion is, and I know that’s the last I’ll have to pay. She always makes sure I get the most out of my insurance and helps me make the choices for upgrades while staying within a budget. Every time I see her she chats me up like she saw me last week.
I can’t say enough about Hunt Eyecare. Heather makes me feel like a friend. Dr. Hunt makes me feel like he can keep correcting my vision no matter how strong my prescription gets. I trust my eyes to them.
