Great Florida Style BBQ. I have been going to this Keller’s for about 17 years and can say their BBQ hasn’t changed. Still awesome and tasty after all these years. All meats are amazing with my personal favorites being BBQ Sliced Pork(Yummy), BBQ Ribs, and BBQ Chicken. This is real BBQ with smoke rings folks. No faux BBQ here. Their sides are also excellent. My favorites are the BBQ Baked beans and French Fries. Great sauces include Sweet Sauce, Original, and Hot Original. Service is very friendly and quick. Just a fantastic BBQ experience. Can’t wait to eat some more very soon.

Something seems different about Kellers. I wonder if there has been an ownership change? Service off a tad, food good, but not what it once was.

I have been going to Kellers for several years and recently noticed the quality of food going down and the amount of food getting smaller, but the price staying. I ordered a rib plate to go and got 12 fries on the plate and 4 small ribs. The manage said that was 12 oz, s of meat and a order of fries. Guess it’s time to go back to Sonny BBQ in Sanford. Out of all the chain barbecue places in Central Florida, I prefer Kellers. There’s nothing that technically stands out with their food, they just have a better taste then Sonny’s, Bubbalou’s, and even 4R. When you walk into this place, you walk into a typical corner barbecue joint with the tables scattered everywhere and covered in plastic. The waitresses are all running around but they are polite and food is served quickly. Overall, the food is good. They have the staples like sliced pork, beef, ribs and brisket. They also have smoked poultry for those of us that don’t eat the heavier meets. Their barbecue sauce is sweet and yummy, and their sides are the standard green beans, barbecue beans, coleslaw, fries, etc. I love this place for their greek salad dressing. I know it’s not typical of a barbecue restaurant, but it’s homemade and just the perfect balance of vinegar and oil that leaves a little tang and then blended with spices. It’s perfect on their grilled chicken salad. I could eat this salad every day.

This review is a long time coming. I first visited this place 12 years ago when we first moved to the area. I was not impressed at all back then. So the years have passed and I’ve stopped in from time to time and it’s inched upward. I ate lunch here today with the fam and a few months ago by myself. I’ve been to a number of the national bbq shrines and worked in the business for quite a long time so I’m coming from a place of experience. I also try to consider what they’re trying to do. As an independent restaurant they are ok with some home runs and some complete misses. The pulled pork sandwich I had months ago was very, very good! It was smoky with the right mix of fat and lean. It had the correct smoke ring and a good balance of smoke flavor. Today we mixed it up a bit. The brisket had the smoke ring but had a roast beef texture. Good brisket is barely held together after it comes out of the pit. This wasn’t tough but it’s mouth feel wouldn’t get it out of the first round of any bbq contest. The flavor wasn’t bad either. I wonder if they’re doing the first 12 hours in the pit and then finishing it in the oven to make room for the ribs and pork? Brisket should also be sliced right before serving and this was pre-sliced. The baked beans were not bad. Not too sweet and a little over cooked but I’m ok with that. The slaw was ordinary but not a surprise in Orlando. The mac-n-cheese is pretty good! Noodles are a tad overcooked but the cheese had a very good texture and flavor. Near the top of the mac to be had at our bbq joints. The biggest surprise was my daughters fried catfish. It was perfect! Cooked perfect and seasoned correctly. Too many places phone it in on dish that isn’t their focus but this was the best of all the items we had today. The sauces are like every other bbq sauce I’ve had in the greater Orlando area which is to say forgettable. For what it’s worth some of the best bbq I’ve had was in places who’s sauce was average. It would be nice for at least one local pit master also have a distinct and desirable sauce. The interior is cramped and I despised the annoying pop playing slightly too loud. The service was attentive, friendly and prompt both of my last two visits. Kudos on that. They advertise they use blackjack oak but given it doesn’t really grow south of the panhandle I’ll take that with a grain of salt. Wood choice is a much debated issue and I find it likely they’re augmenting whatever wood source with some but not all blackjack. Better than Sonny’s but still chasing 4 Rivers when those folks decide to pay attention.

I like ths BBQ the best out of this area(I think its better than 4 rivers, bubbas, etc). It’s probably the best value also. I have had brisket, sliced pork, and pulled pork. My personal favorite is the sliced pork though. Even the smaller lunch-portion at dinner time is plenty of food. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is the dining room/rest rooms are a little run down.

I had the lunch serving for Dinner and it was more than plenty for me, and saved us $ 5.00 per person! The pork ribs were huge with Los of meat on it. You get 3 sides plus 2 huge garlic bread. The salad was crispy, the French fries plentiful and the homemade green beans very tasty. I couldn’t even finish everything on my plate and I was hungry. $ 22.00 for two, delicious and filing. Service was slow but worth the wait! Always packed.

My wife and I went to Keller’s after reading the Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards. What started as a promising dinner, fresh, fried okra and a terrific cup of Brunswick Stew, faded into mediocrity when our dinner arrived. While the baked beans were fresh and properly cooked, overly seasoned collards and plain cole slaw accompanied overcooked and dry ribs. It might have just been a bad evening, or that we ordered the wrong thing on the menu, but I’ll say that we we disappointed given the strong review by yhe paper.

I love Kellers. I work nearby so I go there a few times a month. The sliced beef is always delicious. It gets very crowded at lunch time but it’s worth the wait

To die for BBQ and stellar service be sure to request the MASSIVE«sampler platter», perfect for a large appetite or a group of smaller ones. If I lived down here year round, I’d come every week! Stellar BBQ!!!

Sauce is delicious and ribs are okay. They forgot our appetizer in our carry out order and when we called they said sorry but did not offer to do anything. They did say we were not charged as our receipt was not itemized. Chicken tender dinner came with 4 tenders(menu said 6) and they were thin, dry and flavorless. Fries soggy, garlic bread really soggy, and mac & cheese was passable(not homemade). Ceasar salad okay but ranch dressing tasted like horseradish sauce(probably was). I suggest buying the sauce and making your own meal to go with it. I will come back for the amazing barbeque sauce but not the food or service.

This review is for our carry out dinner. I enjoyed the brisket and the ribs. The pulled pork was just alright, but I’m not a fan of pulled pork in general. The bbq that came with it was not overly sweet or vinegary so that was a plus. The green beans came from a can(?) and the mashed potatoes were delicious, very creamy and buttery, and broth-y like they used chicken stock to enhance the flavor. I enjoyed their coleslaw though it was the generic kind you can get anywhere and their garlic bread was also delicious. My meal was delicious, I think the sides need a little help but all in all I couldn’t complain. I was full and satisfied.

My coworkers and I came here during our lunch break and were seriously impressed! Really great southern BBQ in a little tucked away corner of the plaza. The interior is decorated like you’d expect a BBQ place to be decorated: cowboy and western type stuff. It was not distracting and not kitschy. Thumbs up for that. The interior is also slightly small(but not cramped) and the tablecloths are vinyl but who cares? That adds to the BBQ atmosphere! The food was fanfreakingtastic. I had the BBQ pulled chicken, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and we were really impressed with how good the sides were too. I had my friend’s green beans… I hate green beans normally but these were so good! Service was good too. Our server had no problem splitting up our checks and didn’t act like we were a pain in the ass for asking. This always makes me tip more! This is a great option for lunch in the Lake Mary area. I wish I lived closer!

Things we liked: country eclectic décor, service staff is nice, green beans are amazing — have pepper and bacon in them, pulled pork everything else was just ok… Mac n cheese(adding hot sauce made it better!), collard greens, bread had too much butter, wish we were given more baked beans

We eat here all the time. It’s my son and husband’s favorite restaurant. We came here for my son’s birthday. In fact, we’ve come so often with friends they know our order and don’t even bother asking us if we want menus. Lol. We came here today, because the Chili’s next to it didn’t seem to want to serve us and after waiting 15 minutes, we came here. Our server took our orders, even reminding my husband that he usually gets the brisket. :). And within 5 minutes we had our food, which was delicious as ever. I’m so glad we came here instead. I’m pretty sure we’d have still been waiting for food at Chili’s by the time we finished our food here. :).

Fair barbecue. The servings here are pretty big. I got the pulled pork plate. I had the baked beans, fries, and a salad as my sides. The salad was a little pitiful, I should have had something else. The beans were okay, the fries were pretty plain. The pulled pork was moist but unsauced, so I had to sauce it myself, which is okay because there’s plenty of sauce on the table. I thought the sweet sauce was pretty sweet, not my favorite, but the normal and spicy sauces mixed together were pretty good. I have had their wings delivered to my work and they are okay but they are breaded, and I prefer naked wings. They might have naked on their menu, I just haven’t had them.

Free-ish Birthday lunch-and how! You purchase a beverage, an unsweetened iced tea for me, and you get to choose an item from the lunch menu for free. This is if you are signed up with Keller’s BBQ Club. This whole newfangled BBQ Club whatsit started on 2÷22÷13 and you can only sign up for it in the restaurant, which I think is slightly absurd. Nice thing is that the manager and owner accommodated me on my bday since I called in the day before my actual birthday to see if they were still doing the old bday special. Anyhoo, all of the lunch specials include your choice of 3 sides and 2 slices of garlic bread. I got french fries, baked beans, mac and cheese, and my meat selection was ribs, which were a little tough, but, I still loved them. So, for $ 2.19(tea), I got an awesome, delicious, barbecue-y, birthday feast.
