Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom rack has a few locations in Michigan and the store is always busy no matter what day or time it is. The idea behind this store is higher quality name brands at a discounted price. The store has a lot of the same style shirt that was maybe over produced and didn’t sell well in its debut.
The shoes are in the same boat as the clothing, either older designs or over produced shoes that didn’t sell. The concept is great and so is the delivery. Stores have been popping up to the surprise of consumers but with good response in sales, or so it seems.
The store is a little too busy IMO, and the inventory is always decently picked over. A shopaholic who waits for shipment days to shop here will get the best deals. There are always good deals on athletic socks and dress socks which will keep me coming back. A great store for the right person, the best location is on Baldwin near great lakes crossing. The Troy location is much busier therefore creating longer lines and less of a selection.

Baby shoe heaven. I have been staring at baby shoes on their online store for way longer than I should admit. If you are in need of baby Dr. Martens, Tom’s, Sperry Top Sider, Pumas, or Converse look no further. They also have adorable baby clothes, most of the same brands as Saks.
They have a decent plus size section, women’s shoe section, and they carry Bulgari Black– the world’s most delectable scent for men. Try it if your man enough.
The handbag section at this store is severely lacking compared to other Nordstrom Racks, but I got my baby Tom’s so I’m not complaining. Though I did complain a little because there were no baby Dr. Martens– which clearly my tot needs. You just have to trust me on this.

Shoes you take to the register are not are marked for that deal! I was corrected that I should read the percent mark down, and know the store mis marked shoes. That was three pairs, countless others on the racks $ 1.90, 2.90, 7.90. Not a good experience!!!

I showed up to check it out and it was opening day.
I was actually just stopping in to look around and see if there were any good deals.
The store was beautiful. Clean and neat. Items were displayed well, easy to look at.
The staff was buzzing around and stopping to ask if you needed help.
I happened upon the shoe department which of course set me back a few pairs of cuties.
Thanks to opening day I got a reusable tote to take my goods home in and as I was leaving it started to pour. I mean like pour so much so loud it sounded like the roof was gonna cave in.
I was standing at the front door with a dozen other ladies and their bags when a manager came rolling up with a cart. Can you guess what was in his little trolley? Can ya? Yeppers, bonus of the day… umbrellas. One for each of us so that our packages and us stayed dry all the way to our cars.
I was beyond thrilled knowing I wouldn’t have to wait forever for the storm to pass and that I could get going without getting drenched.
I’ve been in the store several times since.
It’s always been neat in appearance, easy to navigate and super friendly sales folks.
I highly recommend it… give it a look.

Associates are usually helpful here although sometimes hard to find. The layout is very organized although I haven’t seen a great turnover rate in their stock. Great place to find designer jeans for a semi-​reasonable price.

This is a great store. It’s way better than the one in Troy. It has a great selection and isn’t completely picked over. The checkout line isn’t a problem like Troy’s either.

Neat, clean and orderly, easy to shop. It’s in a shopping center by Great Lakes Crossing in the same center that has Kohl’s and Petco.
Prices are equal to TJ Maxx but the quality is higher. Tommy Bahama shirts, Michael Kors purses, Betsey Johnson jewelry, etc. Shop here first because the quality is so much better and the prices are comparable. My sister was going to buy one of the Croft and Barrow shoes for her husband and found some Sperry Top Sider’s that were much nicer and a better value!

We all love a good bargain right? Well, this new Nordstrom Rack location in Orion Township will have you darting left and right in search for that new purse, new pair of shoes, or a new suit.
Because of the newness of this place, the layout is still very well organized, and not chaotic. The general flow is a lot more functional compared to the Troy location. Cash registers are on the right side of the store, and the dressing rooms are condensed into one big section opposite from the registers, and they are located in a pretty central area of the store. Shoes are still organized along the backside of the store, but they are a bit more spread out. I love that the aisles are wider, so you’re not running into somebody else if either of you have shopping carts.
Selection of inventory is more current, and easier to go through. They even have an entire section dedicated to activewear. Love that. The signage is clear and not invasive, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Just don’t forget, as with all Nordstrom Rack stores, any of the employees will allow you to check out without standing in the long line. Credit card only though. Just approach them, and they’ll whip out their handy card reader and you’re on your way!
Only about a little over 2 ½ months old, I hope the space continues to maintain its organization and attention to cleanliness. For now, the 4 stars is deserving, as service and quality are up there. :) So, after a day at Great Lakes Crossing outlets, if you haven’t found what you’re looking for over there, take a quick jaunt across the 75 into the Baldwin Commons plaza, and have your pick on designer wear!
