Great atmosphere. Burger was cooked to order and the toppings are fresh. Definitely worth a try.

This place is great! Our server was super patient with us. Burger, salad, soup all fresh and filling. If you are shopping at Great Lakes Crossing, make sure you stop by this little bar.

Had the Old Detroit burger special($ 7.99 — includes soda and fries) which was good. The place has a comfortable, clean atmosphere with full bar and TVs to watch sports games. I have to say that the service was very good. Friendly management and the place was clean and family-friendly. I would definitely visit again recommend it to check out.

Traveling for work(again) and my old colleague lives 15 minutes from here so we decided to meet for food and drink, and to catch up. This was the perfect diversion from the myriad of chain dinner places just a few minutes away! Why go to a chain«steak roadhouse» when you can come to a locals-only spot?! Walking in I knew it was a local spot. Looks like an old north woods bar that I should be pulling up to on a snowmobile or a motorcycle, except the parking lot was all nice cars. Had a comfy bar with friendly staff. I ordered a drink that was mixed perfectly and then moved to a table for dinner. Not your typical bar food… they have salads, wraps, burgers, and yummy looking desserts. I had a burger fixed my way«no bun, extra bacon, cheese, and no fries» to which the server promptly asked«how about a salad then instead of the fries?» That is the perfect response! She also offered a beer included in the dinner special which 1) I didn’t realize I ordered and 2) I gave to my buddy cuz I don’t drink beer(I’m lo carb, ya know). Perfect response again. Food came promptly and burger was really good. Server also checked on us a few times, all too often that’s overlooked(and we all know that!). I left a super fat tip and told her to stay awesome. If you’re in the area for work or travel, hit this spot over the other fast/chain spots and you’ll thank me. ;-)

This place was very good. We all enjoyed their chicken dumpling soup. Their burgers were delicious! And sooo filling. The staff was nice, and the food came quickly. Lots of TV’s to watch. Bottled root beer with chilled glasses. Price is reasonable, especially if you pay in cash, in which case you get a 10% discount on bills over $ 35.

Great burgers, fun atmosphere. Ashton took great care of us — and the staff was hustling busy! Half off Tuesday was a nice surprise. Food all named after Detroit landmarks.

If it weren’t for the service, this place would have gotten 5-stars. BEST burgers, ok service. Definitely worth trying, though!

Great burgers. Kid friendly. Very friendly staff. Try the Island burger. A full half pounder, swimming in coney sauce. Knife and fork required.

This was a nice late lunch. The staff was warm and friendly. Chatty and kind to my kids who wanted to sit at the bar. I’ve heard the remodel was amazing compared to what the place used to be. It was some«wet goods» and fish Friday kinda joint that apparently had a special smell to it! Anyway, it’s cleaned up real good into a little neighborhood sporty sports bar with lots of tvs running all the current sporting events. I ordered the veggie burger, of course, and it was the typical Boca patty with the normal fixings, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The waffle fries were a nice bonus and fun to get the kids to try for the first time. The hubs said his burger was delicious and that he’d be happy to go back again. My son was over the moon to order a root beer at the bar and drink it out of the bottle so the kid is sold on the place forever now. Besides that though it’s not super kid friendly. No kids menu was offered, no crayons or video games. If you bring smaller people to may want to bring along something to keep them busy. It is a completely non smoking which makes it clean and fresh to walk into. I imagine you may get the scent of food every once in a while. The bar looked nice. We aren’t huge drinkers so it looked like enough variety to tame the average thirst. I order the Blakes hard cider which was tasty and not too sweet. They didn’t have any other cider choice but many beers to choose from. I’d like to try a salad next time and see how they do with that. All in all a good experience.

This place has great service, great food and good atmosphere. I go regularly as it is close to home. If you want fast, friendly, attentive service with a simple but great menu go here. I’ve never had any food order I haven’t loved. Everything is great. I sure hope they stay here for a long time.

It’s alright but everything is really bland. I’d rather spend a little more and go to Bar Louie down the street.

I wanted to hate this place, because I miss The Catalina Lounge. But, I’ve gotta say, they make a pretty solid burger and the redesign on the interior looks really nice. I ordered carryout and had The Russell Street and a side of onion rings. The portion size was good, my burger was cooked medium(as requested). It was almost too much food to finish. I do have two recommendations: dump the Buffalo Trace and bring back the Wild Turkey 101. This is Lake Orion, not Royal Oak. And its Hart Plaza, not Heart. I get it, its a veggie burger, its heart healthy… but. Let it go.

The Cat as we used to call it, is probably THE dive bar of all dive bars. There’s a pool table right as you walk in the door(that you’ve got to adjust your shot if the door opens) and a stale cigarette smoke that just hangs in the air. I’m convinced they pump it IN through the vents. Darts at the back, beer’s pretty cheap… If you’re around the area, stop in for a beer and have a french fry. They’re not bad. It’s certainly not a place you’ll frequent, but it’s a great little hole in the wall if you want to meet up and don’t feel like going anywhere you’ve gotta worry about running into someone you know.
