Such a great spot in LO with fantastic people, ambience, food, and wine selection! I should add that this is based on two visits of the HH menu and wine but I’m going back very soon for dinner. Can’t wait! Both times I’ve had superb service and our waiter was a riot!

You know… I want to say that the food was terrific but I was just not that impressed for the amount we paid. We went to Baird’s based on other Unilocalers and for us, it wasn’t the best fit. The view was enjoyable as we sat on the balcony overlooking B street. The service was good, but not great. The food did not impress me or my family(and we’re not foodie types). But when you compare the $$ signs and the fact the main course was too dry or not cooked enough, it’s enough to say… at least we tried it once.

I really liked this place — the waitstaff was personable. The drinks and food were just what we wanted. I liked how the bar and front room are one — it seemed like someones house(an awesome house) but it had a home feel to it. The Ciopinno was EXCELLENT. I think they were radish/ginger string slices– but it had a little crunch and spice to it which complimented the broth nicely. I would definitely go back.

Awesome atmosphere, friendly and attentive service! Oh did I mention the food was presented very elegantly and tasted amazingly good. Baird got it right, a jewel in the heart of Lake Oswego. Don’t wait-head on over for lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed!

After a very long drive from Seattle Washington myself an 3 of my friends wanted to try out some cool eateries that we don’t have in our area. We went to the screen door to be let down by a hour an a half wait so we Unilocaled places close to our hotel an voila this amazing place popped up! We pulled up an it was popping on a Saturday night we walked in an got greeted right away by our AMAZING server Zach who sat us immediately! The staff the atmosphere was breath taking(I felt under dressed in my Nike shoes an basketball shorts but felt very welcomed)! The food was exceptional from the crab cakes that we had as a appetizer… to the Himalayan chicken which was my main course an the presentation was lovely! My friends ordered the steak dinner an this seafood soup(fresh claims, crab, shrimp! In this amazing broth… YUM!) than to top it off we got crème brûlée an cheesecake for dessert an shared them both! By that point my friend literally had tears in his eyes from how great everything was we needed to talk to someone about it… it ended up being the owner of the restaurant he actually was getting his hands dirty helping out his employees(bussing tables, pouring drinks, ect) an a very nice guy he talked about the restaurant gave alittle history! It was truly the highlight of our trip an will definitely be back again… if u do go in try an get Zach he was by far the best server I think I’ve ever experienced an Ive worked in the industries for many years as a marketing manager an bartender an would come back just to say what’s up! Prices were great too… a must try if your in the Lake Oswego area…

Traveling from Seattle my 3 friends and I decided not to wait the 11⁄2 hour wait at the Screen Door and try a restaurant nearby our hotel. We found this gem on Unilocal and could not have had a better experience. Zach, our server, seated us right away and took great care of us. The steak, the Himalayan chicken, and the Cipriano(that sauce!) were absolutely amazing. We stopped the owner(who was the owner that rolls up his sleeves to work right along his employees) to tell him how amazing our whole experience was. Such a wonderful experience for us, we will be back!

We were looking for a new restaurant to try out and based upon what Unilocal had to say about this restaurant, we checked it out. Our experience, wonderful! The gal that was our server was super friendly and worked hard to make sure that she got our order right as we are picky in the way that the food comes as my husband is trying to very closely monitor his blood sugar levels and follows a very specific diet. They were more than happy to accommodate any requests. The atmosphere was one that was relaxed, happy and friendly. The food, exceptional! I wish I had taken more pictures of the food but I only got a picture of the goat cheese salad that I had with the apples which was delicious. We then had mini bacon wrapped tenderloins on a skewer. Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! I finished up with a yummy ginger cheesecake with raspberry sauce which was absolutely delicious as well. I would definitely recommend a stop into this restaurant for anyone!

This was my first time here. I went to lunch with a friend who knows the owner. The service was atrocious. It took 15 min just to get a menu to order from. I watched as a couple who got there the same time we did, just get up and leave because they weren’t getting service. We asked the young gentleman poring water what the soup of the day was and he said he had no idea and we would have to ask the server. The server wasn’t receptive to our needs and really seemed unaware of the lack of care he was giving everyone. My friend mentioned that service was bad last time she was at the restaurant. She may have given them another chance, but I won’t. Its too bad because I was very impressed by the lovely outdoor seating and cute inside décor. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and $ 11 for exactly 4 shrimp is ridiculous. I have no problem paying $ for good food and service but good food will only take you so far.

Do not patronize this restaurant. At least not until Baird understands that the customer is king. On a previous visit I told Baird that the fries were the best I had ever had in a restaurant. Since this was a key selling point for me, I was very excited to have them again. However, yesterday my Fish & Chips had fries that were totally different and obviously lifeless factory fries. The waiter confirmed that they were out of their normal fries, that these were the«emergency backup» fries. I asked to talk to Baird, but he avoided me 3 times. When I finally got to him, I told Baird I don’t want to play roulette, he needs to maintain the high standards that are the reason the customer is repeating business. He told me, quote, «That’s just the way we roll,» and gave me a fake smile that said he didn’t give a crap about customer criticism. Baird, if you want the business, you need to deliver on your brand caliber. Think of the absurdity of your conviction. If you were to order a shipment of lettuce, and every third head was wilted crappy«emergency» lettuce, of course you would find another supplier.

This was my first visit to Baird’s on B, and any restaurant with an actual apostrophe in its name is always a good sign. Tucked away in a second floor with a full bar at the entry and several rooms of tables, I opted for the very nice covered deck facing B st. The menu is simple and features several interesting seafood items so I tried the fish and chips. These were served promptly and the fish was a golden brown with a perfect crust. The tartar sauce was extremely salty however, so I’m withholding a star… but will be back as the owner is trying really hard to make a success of this place!

Excellent food, great service and nice décor. Overall a great experience here. The clam chowder was some of the best I’ve ever had. I can see why this has the best ratings in L.O. I’ll definitely come back.

A cute place by Lake Oswego. Delightfully nice find. The waiters were super friendly and all smiles. Clean, classy establishment with cool wooden tabletop furniture. Kept casual yet very clean, even the bathroom. Food:(1) Seafood chowder was amazing! So much flavor and so much in it, felt like stew rather than a soup. Delicious!(2) Crab cakes a bit too salty and crab flavors a bit light.(3) Shrimp cocktail very large fresh shrimp.(4) Salmon Bacon Avocado Burger so delicious! Good balance of flavors.(5) Crème Brûlée a good-sized portion… with an orange tasting twist, tho. All in all, very nice. Would come back. Five-stars were it not for the crab cake disappointment.

This place is my favorite restaurant in Lake Oswego. Great food, super cozy ambience. I usually get the burger but their warm spinach salad is sooo good, and their happy hour menu is awesome especially the crab cakes and the extremely generous bowl of fries. Definitely the best restaurant in Lake Oswego so go check it out!

My parents and I went here for an early Friday dinner. My dad is from the country and when I asked him what he wanted to do for dinner his request was somewhere that served«normal» food and wasn’t downtown. Baird’s on B met both of those as well as my interest in a nice meal. We went during the middle of happy hour and there was hardly anyone there. It was a nice atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying a nice afternoon. The happy hour menu was impressive. Well drinks were only $ 4 and there was a good selection of cheap food. My dad had the fish & chips, my mom had their roasted chicken, and I had the steak. All the food had rich flavor and was good quality. The entrees are fairly simple and traditional which I appreciated. My only real complaint is that I asked for my steak rare and it came medium rare — done. I’m pretty disappointed by overcooked steak, but the rest of the dinner was delicious.

We really like the happy hour here, great prices and awesome food and drinks. My only want, would be a really good slaw to go with the fish and chips, help cleans the pallet, makes your drink more enjoyable, when you can cut the grease in your mouth, not saying the F&Cs are greasy, they’re perfect.

First time at the Happy Hour and what a delight. I just felt like I was transported somewhere else, I love the bar, the food was great(yes, of course, had their famous crab cakes — which is MOSTLY crab folks… yay). It is a busy place on the weekend and for good reason. I used the back room for a Weight Loss Class I was leading for Groupon — and my server Gabriel was just fantastic during our 3 hours there. It is GREAT they have a back room that seats about 10+. We were well taken care of, for sure. Thanks, Baird! We’ll be back again sometime soon. :)

The name and description seem a bit misleading. I think they are underselling their attributes. Because, so far, color me impressed. Once you get past the odd entrance, which is up the stairs on the 2nd Street side of the building(not B Street), then it all went very smoothly from there. I still fondly remember this space from the Amadeus days when it was broken up into many small rooms, but it couldn’t be more different inside. Dark woods and a modern interior with wide open dining spaces and a nice looking bar with a couple of TVs for viewing a game. It feels more upscale than a typical ‘Bar & Grill’ even though it is still pleasantly casual. So far I’ve visited for lunch and like the fish-intensive menu. But, I couldn’t pass up the chicken sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. Sometimes a grilled chicken sandwich can be heavy or messy and the balance was just right. Not sure what I liked more, the soft brioche bun or the blend of chicken, brie, arugula and caramelized onions. Accompanied with a side salad, the entire meal was light and full of flavor. Full bar with a nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Even though the entrance, which includes a second set of stairs once you’re inside, and the host’s stand/waiting area are odd, it was a comfortable dining space and our server was flat out excellent.
