Always good food with the best service. I really enjoy my lunch every time I come here. It’s very satisfying and filling too. The salmon lunch box is my favorite. It’s the best salmon I’ve ever tried. They always are so friendly too.

Very friendly staff. Sushi not so good. Very small slices and the sushi rice was warm.

The service is always polite, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The prices are comparable to others in the area, and worth the value! it is definitely a good place for a business meeting or a date.

Nicest, sweetest people that run this place. The miso soup is fantastic and the sushi selections are basic but well prepared. My home away from home!

My friend and I are regulars here; over the past five years, I am sure I have been here well over 100 times. The food is amazing, especially for the price($ 7 – 10 per meal). I’ve had basically everything on the menu and have no complaints about anything. The owners are incredibly friendly and work very hard. Easily one of the best small restaurants in Lake Oswego.

Ummmmm YUMM! If your not looking ya might pass by it. Tucked between McNasty and the Car Wash this place is DABOMB!!! Not only is the service stellar but the food will make you come back again and again. Best sushi I’ve had locally that’s not at a high priced«all Natural» grocery store. You can’t go wrong here and I’ve literally had 85% of the menu items and it’s all spectacular. Just writing this has me salivating, gonna make a phone order. PEACE!

They usually have specials on daily. The people here are very nice. The portions are good and most meals come with a side salad. It tastes much better and is a better deal than star bento up the street.

I have been going here at least once a week for about a year now. Just about every time I get spicy chicken teryaki because it is by far the best teryaki I have had. The salad is incredible. The amount of chicken you get is ridiculous. It tastes extremely fresh. Unfortunately I am moving and am really going to miss this place. The owners are also very friendly.

Pretty basic. Ordered the chicken yakisoba which had maaaaybe 7 bites of chicken in it. $ 6.75 for noodles and veggies seems expensive. If you’re in the mood for a chicken yakisoba that is 99% yakisoba and 1% chicken, this is your place!

Hole in the wall owned by the sweetest Korean family. The décor is horrific for real so this ain’t a date place… however, it is what it is. I ordered sushi and I was in shock because their fish was very fresh and huge portions — I got a crazy amount for $ 30 and was even given salad and miso — they do a lovely mix between white and red.

Fresh fish, friendly service, and generous portions for reasonably priced noodle/rice dishes.

Really really terrible food. This was our second visit here. Japanese restaurant ran by a Korean family. Fried rice tastes like rice with frozen veg medley, yakisoba is alright but for the price, you would find better quality at New Seasons. The sushi is far from«fresh». Tempura was a joke. Found hair in one dish the first time and both dishes the second time. White rice resembled Minute Rice that was made days ago. Service was pleasant. If you want Japanese food though, this is not the place.

Fairly bland and forgettable, pretty generic sauces and an unapealing décor. The saving grace of this place is the very nice people that run it. I’ve tried this place a couple of times over the years and just haven’t found a good meal.

Best Sushi? Is that what this place is called? It has a sign out front that says«Seattle’s Best Teriyaki». I guess that’s the name of the former business, and although this place has a new name, it’s a deep, dark secret that the owners endeavor to hide from the world. Possibly because the self-defeating label«best(anything)», once applied, has the actual effect of ensuring the all those who enter the doors of the restaurant eventually leave firm in the knowledge that what they just consumed was not the best, or even second-best, of anything. That I am rating this restaurant 3-stars is a sure sign that even a slight slip of the tongue, or maybe a change of name in the phone book, could lead to ultimate culinary doom for this little sushi/teriyaki joint housed in a nondescript Lake O strip mall. It really is kind of sad though, since the owners are really nice Korean people. Koreans generally do a FANTASTIC job of making sushi — don’t believe me? Go to Sinju. I hate to give nice people few stars… but I would be lying to you if I gave any more. The offerings here range from Korean and Japanese«teriyaki»(Kalbi, bulgogi, teriyaki), to a fairly standard slate of fresh rolled sushi, to some Korean specialties like Bi Bim Bap and dumpling soup. The problem is that the«teriyaki» is fairly lacking in flavor. It’s sort of a cross between Korean and Japanese seasoning-wise — the Korean spiciness is dulled down by the Japanese sweetness enough to leave a muddled flavor that, while not bad, is nothing exciting. The sushi is semi-fresh, and rolled with care, but I frankly don’t foresee the Japanese consulate ordering out some rolls and nigiri. It’s probably better than what you would find in the cooler at Safeway, actually much better than that, but with so much good(and cheap) sushi smattered around Portland these days, I wouldn’t come to lake O just for these rolls. The gyoza, while technically correctly labeled«hand made», are not made on-site(a funny little distinction between«hand-made» and home made. I went home and checked — the frozen gyoza I get from my local Korean store freezer section are«hand-made» too.). I was disappointed by this fact. The Gyoza soup does have decent broth, but again, nothing about the flavor stands out. What this place seems to be good for is value. If you want a standard, un-exciting bento box lunch with some rice, some«teriyaki» meat, a few fried gyoza, some slices of a california roll, and a little salad, this is the place. It’s a good amount of food for the price, and varied to boot. You can pilot your suburban cookie-cutter car up to this strip mall, get a dumbed down bento, and take it back to your un-decorated cubicle to eat it with a fork while talking to your cube mates about how funny last night’s sit-com was… or… maybe, you could do yourself a favor and get some exciting food for a change. I will admit, there is a time and a place for a bland bento. Some people have a soft spot for a lunch that does NOT pack any exciting surprises — it’s easy, it tastes good enough, and it’s way better than any corporate food you’ll get in L.O. So, we come full circle. You finish your meal here, pay your reasonably priced bill, thank the incredibly nice owners for your meal, and exit with 2 firm thoughts in your head: 1. This is NOT Seattle’s best teriyaki. And even if it were phenomenal, to call yourself the best in Seattle without even being IN Seattle is pretty heady. 2. This is not the best sushi. Not by a long shot. That said, I am giving 3 stars for the following: Good service Nice owners They have The HIte beer They offer Korean food in LO The food is totally palatable and doesn’t suck, per se I have always left full I have never felt like I have overpaid I continue to go back, from time to time, hoping to find that one gem that HAS to exist somewhere in the menu. I mean, seriously, who would open a restaurant without knowing how to cook at least ONE thing REALLYFREAKIN’ WELL!!!
