I really enjoyed Chuckie Pies, and they have an excellent gluten-free pizza. I had the margherita pizza with arugula and balsamic drizzle this evening, and it was delicious!

We just came from a nice dinner at Chuckie Pies. It was our first time there, and we’ll definitely be back. The ambiance and staff are wonderful and the pizzas were perfect. We really enjoyed it.

I really like Chuckle Pies. The pizza and salads are excellent. A very unique place to grab a drink and fantastic food. Highly recommend. Spicy sausage pizza is my favorite.

If your looking for delicious wood fired pizzas then this is a must! They also do seasonal pizzas with mouthwatering combinations. Friendly staff and a cozy environment. Also have a delicious chop salad, and their Caesar Salad is one of my favorites!

I called ahead and ordered two pizzas and a salad for take out. Coming home from work I was looking to being home some pizza for my family and they never gave me the $ 55 total, so I was a bit surprised when they rang me up. I got home to enjoy my over-priced pizza with my family and it tasted only of ash because of the way they cooked each one over fresh ashes of the coal they use. I know this because I watched the chef move the embers around. I don’t know if this is all the time, but it made the pizza inedible. I called and they were very nice about it, but only offered a $ 20 rebate. After agreeing on a rebate for the two pizzas, she said to check my email for the rebate. It never came. $ 55 down the drain. Even if it wasn’t ruined by ash it would never be worth $ 55. I’d rather pay a taxi to take me to Hotlips, or drive down to any of the Pizzacatos which have just as good pizza.

Dropped by on a Friday night about 45 min before closing. Sat at the bar with the friendly bartender. Enjoyed some beer and pizza. The crust is more NY style than Neapolitan — less puffy, more chewy. I had the special which was a greek pizza and I loved it. Hubs had a sausage something. I don’t understand the bad reviews — def not our experience. Perhaps the prices are high, but compared to other similar pizza eateries, the price is average. I did like the pizza at Life of Pie in PDX better, but Chuckie Pies is nearly there too. I wouldn’t skip it, and I’d go back again!

We had a FANTASTIC dinner on Friday night. The pizza was delicious. I had the special which had prosciutto and peaches. Amazing. My daughter had breadsticks and a Caesar salad which she loved. Our server, Cody, was delightful and was very knowledgable about the wine list. Her recommendation was perfect. I love the décor and the great feeling inside. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic service, gorgeous pizza pies. I never bitch about price, but what we ordered was, considering the cost, a bit insubstantial. I would still patronise Chuckie again without hesitation, because the quality is so marvellous! Do not think I’d eat in – too small. Yes, Du Barry is über-tiny, but there is a private sort of intimacy, there. Chuckie is stark small. Great service, though, really, really friendly and quick!

Have wanted to try this place for a while now. We live in lake Oswego and were excited to see a pizza place open up. There were 3 adults and 2 kids and the bill was almost $ 100.00 and we left hungry. Won’t be returning. Also need to mention we love thin pizza and weren’t looking for Pizza Hut here. Pros: Nice décor(but chairs were horribly uncomfortable) Fast service Brick oven Good salad but still 8 $ was way too much for the small portion Cons: Pizza has little toppings and not enough sauce and zero flavor. We wanted more flavor so we asked for Parmesan cheese and the waiter mumbled something about how expensive it was and that we could have some but that it would only be a small amount. Ridiculous! We were rushed out the door bc the space is very small. We probably stayed less than 40 minutes Way too overpriced for what you get. My whole family came home and ate leftover Chinese food. Need to mention that my mom and daughter put salt on their pizza bc there was NO flavor. That was a first! Awkward service as they had to cut up all our pies bc they said the table was too small so it made it difficult to share them properly. Sharing plates were smaller than the slices. Sorry chuckie pies :(

Hands down, the worst pizza ever. Have no idea how there are so many good reviews unless they are friends and family of the business. Overpriced $ 12 — 14, skimpy on the sauce and cheese, and the only(meat) options are pepperoni and sausage(which I do not eat). Do not recommend.

I tried this pizza place on a friend’s recommendation and there are both positive and negatives regarding my experience. Pros: Very nice, attentive waitstaff, food came quickly. Salads are reasonably good. Gluten-free crust available. Cons: Where’s the meat? I ordered the 10″ pepperoni pizza which was very sparsely populated with pepperoni, approximately 5 pepperoni slices on the entire pizza. Even the sauce was also minimal. In the end, I wonder if it might have been better to have ordered the bread sticks and a salad as I think I would have been more satisfied. I’m sticking with Pizzicato, which offers a better selection and quality pizza.

the burbs are a culinary wasteland no more. real Italian(yes, I’ve had real Italian) wood oven pizzas made at this incredibly friendly and wonderful establishment. you can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas, as they stay true to the anti-pizza-hut way of doing things. I’m coming back.

Like the other critical reviewers, I want this place to succeed as the tastes and décor are great. We’ve been in three times. The first two times were pretty good: we liked the selection of drinks, the chopped salad was yummy and large enough to share(as an app). I loved my pie and my husband was really pleased that he could get a cheeseless pie on gluten free crust. The owner and servers were really helpful and friendly(maybe too friendly?). I would have given 4 – 5 stars had we never returned. The third visit was disappointing. Hubby’s gluten free crust was unavailable and so there really wasn’t much left for him. He ended up eating all of the chopped salad instead of sharing it with me. I was ok with that but he didn’t get enough to eat. Our server’s timing was off and so that added to his frustration. Then the bill was pretty high – especially considering that he was still hungry. Maybe it was an off day? My gut is saying no. Other reviewers had great suggestions for improvement, I hope that the owners address some of the feedback and stick around for a long time.

Craving a good wood fired pizza led us here. We were excited to check out this new-ish joint in the neighborhood. It had a steady crowd the whole time and it was a big hit with families. Kids love their pizza. Each one ate the whole thing! We sat at one of the tall tables, got a moscow mule, and ordered a pesto and margherita pie topped with arugula. The moscow mule was quite tasty and the pies came soon after along with a plate of housemade chili oil, the chilis themselves, and S&P. The pizzas were thin and had a nice chew. The housemade pesto was fresh and tasty. The chilis totally made the meal. They were so flavorful. I couldn’t stop eating them. I don’t know if it was because if I stopped the heat set in or what, but I pretty much ate the whole plate. It might have been because the chilis were so good that it made me realize the pizzas were a little bland. They needed a little more oomph themselves. I would definitely go back because the staff was nice and it is close, adorable, and I admire their simplicity, but for pizza with more flair we may have to resort to line waiting at Ken’s Artisan or Apizza Scholls.

Although I am not from the area I was reliably informed that this place is always packed. I can assure you there are a number of excellent reasons why Chuckie’s is generally SRO. A. The atmosphere is clean, bright and welcoming. Seating is comfortable and spacious. B. Service: There were only a few folks eating at 5PM(yes Virginia we are getting old and eating out at 5 these days) so we had all their attention. In cases like this I have seen staff actually slack off. Not here service was perfect. C. Drinks: They have a full bar. They pour a very generous glass of wine. D. Food: My Caesar salad was fantastic. Greens were crisp and the dressing perfect. The individual pizzas are top flight. I had the spicy sausage which disappeared in a flash. Try the house infused chili oil they put on the table; it is terrific. The white pizza looked excellent but was guarded from my stealthy attempts to snag a piece by my wife. E. Cost: Fantastic… I didn’t pay.

Hands down some of the best pizza in the northwest. They use some super Gucci oven from Europe that cooks the pies to perfection. The dough is also superb. Bottom line. Every item on the super simple menu is made to perfection. If you’re in the area or even interested in eating in LO this is a must try establishment.
