They closed early again tonight before their advertised time — happens on many occasions. Is this a management or an owner issue? Very disappointing as our kids like this place — great for healthy options after games and practices.

Get a new manager, he’s not friendly, this place is always under staffed, and they try to start cleaning for closing as soon as they can, that makes it very uncomfortable for those that come in an hour before close. Sweeping near diners, really?
Other things — Many times we’ve had bowls that didn’t include the ingredients as advertised or were not a balance of ingredients ex: mostly Kale!

Been here before. Service is ok for a quasi-​fast food order at counter place… but today…30 minutes to get a to go bubba burrito…30 minutes!

Hmmm… I think I’d give this place 3.5 stars (if I could). I rounded up because I liked the atmosphere and the service and (some of) the food.
ATMOSPHERE: It’s clean. The walls are painted different colors, but they all go so well together. They have hanging wall planters and random wall art and posters. They have plastic dinosaurs for the children to play with. They have two water dispensers — one inside and one outside. They have signs that say, «Thank you for bussing your own table.» They have menus to look at while you’re waiting in line, but they only tell the specials above the registers. There’s no menu there.
SERVICE: It was great! The employees were very friendly and nice. (Oh, and if you need a job, they’re hiring right now!)
FOOD: It looked so yummy when it came out. Everything looked great. We ordered soup, a bowl, a burrito, a kid’s meal, and a beer. The soup was recommended after I asked if it was good, because it sounded good. It came with tortilla chips. I didn’t really like it, though. It didn’t have much flavor. I thought it was the tortilla chips at first, but tasting it by itself didn’t change the fact that it was missing flavor. My fiancé got the Korean BBQ Bowl, and he liked it. He said it tasted fresh, and he would get it again — only after trying other stuff. I got a chicken burrito, and it was good. I don’t know if I’d get it again. I actually prefer the chicken burritos I get from an assembly line chain Mexican restaurant. The kid’s bowl is what you’d expect for a kid’s meal. It had everything my kid liked to eat in one bowl, although he didn’t want to eat it. Not hungry, I guess. It was okay — not fantastic. The dish needed more seasoning.
OVERALL: I’d be willing to give this place another try. I think we would just order different things next time — minus the beer. Beer was good.

Understaffed, slow, casual. Dude cooking scratched his head while cooking, kinda gross.

When we lived in SE Portland and Laughing Planet was just starting out, their food was tasty and consistent. Their staff were pretty friendly as well. Now, we have a Laughing Planet across the street and the food is sort of bland, which could be remedied with some customer suggestions. Worse, though, is the pompous dude we had to deal with getting our lunch today. Why, Mr Dude?
It is not in my nature to leave negative reviews, but – wow – we’ve given this location more than ten patronisations and have been disappointed every time. Oh, and they didn’t have the menu item advertised on their website (something I could’ve thrown together in a trice, but we were pressed for time). Never again, Laughing Planet, never, ever again.

Pretty good healthy food… Kind of expensive and smallish portions but I do like the food mostly I think their seasonal bowls are usually where it’s at. I find their Mexican food kind of meh.

Fantastic quesadillas and cookies! We’ll be back!

This Laughing Planet is my favorite! The employees there are amazing and the food is so healthy and delicious. I would eat here everyday. And kids love it too

Laughing Planet looked promising on the menu and the ingredients are good quality, organic, locally sourced, non GMO and all that. BUT, the food is seriously lacking flavor. It was a big disappointment because the food looked appetizing. The sad truth is the taste just isn’t there.
We tried the Korean BBQ bowl with tofu and the Hole Mole burrito with chicken. We also tried the chips and salsa as well as the fresh guacamole. Our beverages were a Peach Chia smoothie and an Apricot hard cider. You know there’s a problem when the drinks are the best and tastiest part of the meal. The bowl was overdressed and ended up being soupy at the end but still had very little flavor. The burrito was a good size and had a decent amount of chicken in it but it simply didn’t taste like anything at all. We tried both the red and green salsas which could have been iceberg lettuce blended with water if you tasted them blindfolded. Is this why they call it the Laughing Planet? This has to be a joke, right?! The chips had zero salt on them and we got a melon ball sized scoop of guacamole for $ 1.75 which is a total rip off (two whole avocados might run that much at Freddy’s).
The service was friendly but, unfortunately, that doesn’t help the food taste better. Hell, I’d settle for it tasting like SOMETHING even. I’d give it 3 stars if the expected flavors were present and if they didn’t have signs pressuring you into bussing your own table. Remind me again exactly what the tip I left at the register was for while I’m bussing my own table. Anybody???

This place has the best smoothies! It’s food is high-​quality and for a reasonable price.

Great place for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores! Something for everyone here. My favorite– Thai bowl with tofu and add plantains… Amazing! Great, friendly service, a little slow sometimes, but the wait is always worth it!

I had heard really good things about laughing planet so I figured I would give it a try. I had the Thai ricebowl with chicken, steamed broccoli, and peanut sauce. It was excellent. I loved the fact that it had brown rice and was healthy. All the veggies were fresh. I also has a chocolate cookie for dessert. It was excellent, very chocolaty tasting.
I would definitely go here again. Everything on the menu looked delicious and I can’t wait to go there again

You know I was pleasantly surprised that the product that they served was very tasty. Had a pork bowl with brown rice and Mexican toppings, boom and bomb. I will be going back for sure.

Order the Marionberry ginger smoothie if you have a cold and need a kick, you won’t regret it. Real berries, real ginger, really amazing! I gotta come back to try other stuff. So glad this moved into the LO ‘hood.

Really healthy, organic, local food. Decent prices. Nice people. Great service. Kind of like Portland.
Tried several different bowls. They were all pretty good. VERY HEALTHY.
They did forget my chili in my to go order… called them back and they offered to give me two. I wasn’t very far so drove back. They offered me an extra chili but I didn’t want two, so they gave me a few cookies instead when I went back. Chili was just so-​so.

Loved the organic/​pastured meat idea here. Friendly service and clean location. But, definitely not impressed with the actual food so far.
Many of the ingredients were missing in our to-​go order for 4 people… and ALL of the sauces except one. When we got home, we were excited to eat but immediately so bummed when we actually saw the food. Looked like it was made by a picky toddler who took out all the good stuff. What gives Laughing Planet? Is this why you are laughing?
When we were ordering, I asked if there was any gluten in the «homemade» soup. The cashier pulled out an ingredients list of 40+ items in this particular soup, many including unnatural items like Carrageenan, which is just terrible for health. Disappointing.
