Atmosphere notwithstanding, you will not be disappointed by the best and most authentic menu of Mexican food in the area. Try those breakfast burritos!

The first time I had eaten at BurtO’s as we at home refer to it, was at the bend location. We ate a truck load of the shredded beef tacos. Loved them so much we went back the very next day and picked up 12 for the road trip home, since I was not aware of a location this side of hood. Well, well what do you know there I was on Mcloughlin Blvd looking for a quick bit and by craky… there she was in all of her glory. ran in and tanked up on 3 — carne asada tacos, rice and beans and went on out to the rig for a nap. Yep… I hit that location up everytime i’m in the neighborhood. The bean burrito is one of my favorites, simple, and very tasty. just like we make at home. just without the mess.

My car follows a rail when I’m near rigos for Mexican fast food. I know at some point in history this building housed a taco bell, but that’s the only thing it has in common. Carne asada fries, fajita burrito, anything with the grilled chicken is delicious. Morning breakfast burrito is enough for two. Great deal and authenticity

Very good taco-truck style Mexican food at an affordable price. We love their huevos rancheros for a lazy weekend morning breakfast. Not the fanciest place inside — so we usually get take out.

This is my second time going here, and unfortunately is my last. The first time I ordered a carne asada torta, by the time I got home(a block away) it was soggy. Not to mention the salsas(green and red) are far from being even mild. Yuk. I gave them another chance today, again cause they’re close. I ordered tacos this time, I figured how bad can they mess these up. Well to start of the prices are pretty high for tacos, I’m guessing cause they do have a lot of meat. But what good is a lot of meat if it’s flavorless. The tortillas are regular store bough and just microwaved. The lengua(tongue) tacos had nerve endings and pieces of the outer tough skin that is supposed to be peeled and tossed. Once again their salsas are a joke, I had to resort to my tapatio bottle just for some flavor. And they didn’t provide any garnish like limes or radishes(I went through the drive-thru). If you’re looking for authentic tacos this is not it. If you’re drunk or just want a lot of flavorless meat then it works. I would rather drive to Oregon City for better tacos. ¡No vuelvo!

Good food, disgusting interior and tables were un-wiped. Great for when your high or drunk, I would never have considered this while not under the influence. I think the drive threw is your best option, enjoy everyone!

Carne asada fries are the ish. If I were on death row, I would highly consider these fries as my last meal. Husband had a burrito and he said it was meh. There were a ton of onions in it and it was pretty overpowering.

Yesterday marks my third visit to this haven of delicious gutbombery and I have to say, Woohoo as good as it gets! I’ve know of Rigoberto’s for quite some time. For years it was only known to me as this far off but amazing 24 hour taco shop that had the«best burritos ever». About a year or so ago, I had the chance to finally have one! Sadly, drunkenness prevented any memory of the experience. My only memory of the night was holding something fairly heavy in my hand and about 30 seconds later, having carnitas and hot sauce all over my face. Fast forward a year and my very sober ordering of the Mar Y Tierra burrito and holy fuck what a burrito! Red Lobsters all you can eat shrimp trough has less shrimp in it than this burrito. And, surprisingly, they’re really good! The rest of the behemoth is also delicious. It’s SO full of carne asada, like so full that if you took it all out it would be bigger than the burrito itself. That’s some quantum shit right there! Who knew a Mexican restaurant on McLoughlin could give you a lesson on theoretical physics! Their salsa bar is pretty wild. Nothing too spicy which is lame. But the rest of it is great and the tub of jalepenos, onions and milder peppers is pretty awesome! Cheap too! If I had any shame, I would only eat half of the burrito. The burrito and a Jarritos soda was only $ 8! Can’t beat a deal like that! It’s way out of the way for me but lately I keep finding excuses to cruise past here. That’s gotta be worth something!

Too much meat? — Wife’s feedback to the Carne Asada Burrito this is a non-issue to me, yum, good steak… I’ve always had a problem with the Spicy Pork, with some digestive issues, most likely due to the amount of fat. But the Carne Asada appears to be spot on great. The salsa bar is nice, with a classic green/red/chipotle, but also a avocado sauce and molcajete sauce(sort of a roughly crushed salsa) –1 points off for comfort because it’s a bit unkept, several tables needed to be wiped down. +1 point for taste, oh good salsa bar and free fried jalepenos, white and green and onions +1 point for value 6.50 for the burrito that was entirely delish meat and big. +1 point for service, hey they are quick to take the order and prepare the food.(this is a fast food joint)

It was getting close to dinnertime and I was hungry, so I went to Rigoberto’s figuring I’d want to get three or four tacos. Looking at the menu, I noticed that their tacos were a bit spendy(for me), ranging from $ 2.30 to $ 2.70. I decided that, if I was going to spend that amount, I would get a combo platter instead. The platters included rice, refried beans, side salad, and choice of meat. I chose carnitas for the meat and it was really good stuff. I got a sizable portion of nicely browned cubes of pork.. .not a bunch of random gnarly shreds of meat like at some other places. It was lean and tender.. .not fatty, greasy, or gristly. Really, this was the best carnitas I’d had at any fast food taqueria in town. The side dishes were OK too. The rice was fluffy with no clumps, the salad had guacamole on it, and I had no complaints about the beans. Good value for $ 8.00. Also, I appreciated that they featured five kinds of salsa, from extra mild to hot.. .so there’s something for everyone’s tastes.

So far the best Mexican I’ve had in the Oregon city area. Exactly what I expect from this type of place. It’s a hole in the wall with lines out the door so be prepared, but those are usually good signs for a restaurant. If you’ve never had this type of Mexican, it’s not like taco bell hard shell or Mexican street tacos. The tacos are what jack in the box tacos would be if they were made with actual ingredients, I think they fry the tortilla with the meat in there but not 100% on that. Also got a chicken burrito. That left me less impressed but next time I’ll get carne asada. Now all we need is a place that serves carne asada fries!

Looks good but unfortunately, I’m unable to give more stars than a star. I went by twice already(early a.m.) but no one was at the drive-thru. Their website posted: Open 24 hours Drive Thru. I saw a car there at the back but no humans were found, both times. I will try again and will re-rate/re-review.

Great late night grub. Cheap, and tasty. The Carne Asada fries/nachos are really good. Priced right, and open. 24 hours.

Every time I eat here there is never a clean table. The food is good but the cleanliness leaves something to be desired.

Good quality, real Mexican food with all the fixings, reasonably priced. Just wish they weren’t so stingy with the napkins. They are guarded, behind the counter.

Attention white people… This place is legit. I’m from the southwest and this is the kind of quick Mexican food we eat. It’s so legit that we drive 30 mins from inner SE Portland to get here. Quit whining about the décor and guacamole and just go to your usual yuppie taco joint.

The carne asada fries are always on point. I also ordered the guacamole and chips. It’s a huge amount and it’s layered like nachos would be, but with just guacamole and shredded cheese. Service is fast, and the food is always delicious.

Dive through is probably more accurate than drive though. The place is probably 60 years old and nothing… Nothing has been done to update it. It’s dingy, worn, drab and horribly cramped. The inside tables are sized appropriately for 8 – 12 year olds but not their parents. The outside seating is slightly more comfortable on sold brick benches but the noise and fumes from the traffic on McLoughlin makes it unpleasant as well. Inside, the«music» is turned up to stun on speakers that were blown out many moons ago. The prices seem reasonable but there are unwelcome surprises. «Surprise» the giant burritos come with guacamole. While I am probably in the minority of people who don’t appreciate the gooey green delicacy, had I been forewarned it was going to be included I could have asked for it to be left off. The wife had the wet burrito and the sauce was uninspiring if not downright unpleasant.

I have this Rigobertos right down the street from my house in Milwaukie, and another Rigobertos down the street from where I work in Albany. That being said, I probably have Rigobertos at least 6 times a month. This place is excellent drunk food, and I will eat here sober as well. Rigobertos is simply satisfying for their LARGE portions, quick service, and low prices. I always finish leaving full and satisfied. Rigobertos is definitely fast food, with low quality food, but if you’re needing something quick and filling, this is the spot. Some of my personal favorites are: –Carne Asada friesor nachos –Carne Asada burrito or tacos –Al Pastor burrito or tacos –Cabesa tacos –Fish tacos I’ve had many other items as well, but these are what stand out to me. I would avoid the pollo asada items, as I’ve had a pollo asada burrito and found some bones in it. Anyways, Riggies is the spot! Give it a shot but be prepared for some junk food

Red flags: drive through, the outside looks like a Taco Bell/Taco Bravo. Red flags dispelled: Inside, it smells like wonderful meat goodness(mixed with bleach) and there are low quality but delicious looking pictures of plates. And CARNEASADAFRIES. For some reason, it’s rare to find this gold outside of SoCal. The menu is huge and it was a little overwhelming but we ended up with a California burrito with cabeza, a lengua taco and al pastor taco. Everything not traditional taco wise is covered in Costco Mexican-blend shredded cheese and therefore the California burrito was 1⁄3 cheese, 1⁄3 meat, 1⁄3 fries. It was great and either awesome or not so awesome to eat the day after Thanksgiving… Out of the 6 salsas, half of them were bland but the other half was good and not overly salty(something I’ve found in other NW taquerias). My favorite was the roasted pico de gallo. They also have big trays of roasted jalapenos, onions and pickled jalapeño and carrots. The tacos were like $ 2.75 instead of $ 1.25 but they were also 2x as big and had tons of meat filling. There are some hard shell tacos pictured but these were large soft corn tortillas. The al pastor(pork) was pretty standard and tasty, nothing special. The lengua(beef tongue) was really tasty and tender, that was my favorite. It was kinda hard to taste the cabeza(beef head meat) in the burrito on its own since it was smothered in cheese but it seemed really tender and flavorful. I’m really happy I found this place. It’s out of the way for me but if I had a craving for good lengua and cabeza(my favs), I’m totally willing to come out! The seating is like a fast food restaurant — there’s booths that seat 4 and tables against the window that can be pushed together to seat more. The bathroom is either outside or nonexistent.
