As a young non-white person. I received no inquiry of how i was doing or if i needed help even though I witnessed others being offered and me trying to find an available associate. I really did need help but gave up

This is one of those stores where browsing is a blast. Sur La Table in Lake Oswego is unsurprisingly elegant. There is so much to buy, though often at high prices, but so much is discounted and there is a clearance section. A wheel has a gazillion cookie cutters for $ 1.25 each. I came to this store after visiting the marvelous riverfront. It was fun to explore with friendly employees and a vast, attention-grabbing set of item after item of intrigue. There was even a space with little cups to sample some apple cider for the fall. I ultimately bought a somewhat triangular cup for only a dollar. My joy was pronounced when I carried the bag with it around like a true Lake Oswegan. Sur La Table should be a worthwhile experience.

I love Sur La Table, I do(see review for the Brewery Blocks location). But this location was lackluster. I went in looking for La Salamandra Dulce de Leche(it’s available on the Brewery Blocks and the website) and the sales guy looked at me like he was clueless. I even clarified… Argentinian Caramel. Nothing, still the same clueless face. He went to ask someone else, that someone else didn’t know about this product. Very disappointed. I waited until later in the week and went back to my favorite location to get it, even though it’s not as close as the Lake Oswego one. I learnt my lesson.

I shouldn’t be allowed in this store alone. It’s heaven if you are a fan of cooking. I’ll go for one thing and walk out with some new Le Creuset every time. Whatever you do, do not watch a cooking show and then go to this store. Because every cooking show convinces you that you need a new cooking utensil, which you probably do. Well, this store has them all. Also, this store has great people working at it(at least all the ones I’ve met). There’s nothing worse than buying a new cooking item and having someone who knows nothing about it.

Sur la Table is a fabulous cookware store. They sell products for the casual home cook as well as professionals. They have a nice selection of knives: Shun, Miyabi Fusion, Henkel, Wüsthof, Kyocera, Kuhn Rikon, Global, and more. They carry cookware brands All-Clad, ScanPan, Sur la Table, Demeyere, Le Creuset, Staub, and Emile Henri. For bakeware, there are many shapes and sizes in many brands. One brand that I highly recommend is the Sur La Table® Platinum Professional Bakeware made by USA Pan. It is made in the US, has a silicone non-stick coating(no teflon, so no PTFEs or PFOAs.), uses 65% recycled steel, and has a corrugated surface to help keep the products from warping. Very cool product. There are all kinds of gadgets that you did not even know you needed. From peelers and graters to spatulas and whisks, this store has all you want, imagine, or need. There is always clearance in the back too. This location is great because it is larger than the other two Portland locations(in the Bridgeport Center and the Pearl District). The sales associates are friendly and helpful. If you need help out to your car, they are more than happy to assist. Returns are never a problem either. I would just say that when they are you for your name, go ahead and give it to them. This way they have all your purchases on file and if you ever needed to make a return, you would not have to worry about having your receipt. Items such as the All-Clad, ScanPan, and many others are guaranteed for life, so it would be easier to have your purchase in their system than to try and keep the receipt for 10+ years. Plus, if you sign up for the catalog, you will get two coupons mailed to you each year. It is nice to have good quality kitchen utensils and linens in addition to all the essentials. Cooking is more fun when you are doing it with good products. Prices can range from expensive high-end items to dirt cheap clearance bargains. Something for everyone!

This is the nicest«Surly Table» I have ever visited. Been to the one both on 4th Street in Berkeley and in Walnut Creek. This is by far the cleanest, most well organized and has the best customer service of all. Best yet, this is in the same shopping center that Peet’s is in and has a decent parking lot in a beautiful setting.
