Tan Republic TRUELY has a strong commitment to their customers. Their associates are knowledgeable, outgoing and provide GREAT GENUINE customer service. I have been tanning for a couple years. Tan Republic is #1 in my book.
The associates and corporate office work together to provide immediate client resolution for any issues that come up. They are A LOT better than Suns Up Tanning! Keep up the outstanding work!

Tan republic is the only place I would tan at! Their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and are willing to answer any questions you may have. Their salons are always clean, quiet, and inviting. Love it!

I have had a great experience with tan republic. I used to be a member at Palm beach tanning and I hated it. They we’re always trying to make me but something very pushy. Tanning republic is such a better experience. Everyone is nice and they aren’t trying to get u to buy everything try are nice and polite and very helpful about lotion products and the bed are great. They are a little pricey, but I do think u r paying for a better bed. A better tan. And a nicer atmosphere

I am going to continue being an advocate for better tanning beds that care about their customers that walk in the door. Tan Republic employees are malicious, vindictive and provide fraudulent information in an attempt to strong arm consumers into packages that they want nor do they need. Today my mother is going to small claims court for a breach of contract, and Tan Republic prides themselves on doing this to people, my advice is go to other Tanning beds in the area that do not hold you to contracts, because they lie when they tell you you have the ability to cancel at anytime. Palm Beach Tan, Sun’s Up Tanning, I am going to make it my goal to make sure Tan Republic closes their doors. I will be informing media, as well as shows like 20/​20, to their deceptive business practices that can no longer go unnoticed.

This business does not honor their agreements. We went in for only one tan, but we’re upsold a package of 6 tans. When we went to use them, we were told that they would not be honored. Employee sold them to us falsely, and he was no longer there. A good company honors deals even if made incorrectly.
Furthermore, when I tried contacting them to remedy, Manager never followed through as promised.

I have gone to Tan Republuc in Lake Oswego for several years. I used to use the tanning beds but these days I’m pretty much only into mystic tans since they don’t dry my skin as much.
The best service I have received has been since Victoria came to work at this location. Victoria is always attentive & pleasant regardless of how busy she may be. The other thing I appreciate is she doesn’t try to sell me anything just to sell me. We discuss all my options & she educates me as to how various programs work. I do still occasionally tan, for the ultra warmth and when I have a planned vacation. I usually use the Diamond bed as it said to cause the least damage & you are in it the least amount of time. Victoria advises me which bed will give me the most tanning effect & skin preparation for those times I want my skin a little more sun protected so it is not so likely to be susceptible to sun burn, and that’s the platinum bed. Very pleased

I go tanning in the winter because the sun is nonexistent in Oregon in the winter and I like to keep just a little color so I don’t look pale come spring. I like this Tan Republic because it’s always clean, I’ve never burned, and I always feel refreshed when I leave. The sales associates are very knowledgeable about the lotions and tanning bed options. They will try to upsell you to buy a package, but I went in expecting that. My husband and I both bought lotion and eye protection and a 10-​tan package. It’s a little expensive but I like this location and the tanning experience I’ve had here so far and I plan to keep going back every winter.

Cheesy business practices. TR supposedly made a deal to honor contracts held by customers of Forever Young (whiche 5 tans at FY” — and this is what I was told after receiving a tour and being told how the equipment is the same and from the same manufacturer.
Their second offer was to give me 50% off the first month of a six month contract ($ 89 per month). Can kinda do better with a coupon, no?
This was insulting enough that I will make it a point of seeking out their competitor and giving them my business instead.

I have gone here a few times for Mystic tans and have been pleased with my experience each time. They have a nice setup and the staff has always been very helpful. I see a different person each time — which is just fine — and they are always nice and easy going. One time the machine was clogged and wasn’t spraying right, so they quickly reset it for me to go again. I’ve been to other places for spray tans and never leave as pleased with the result as I do from the LO Tan Republic. I will say though, if you buy single spray tans, they are SUPER expensive there, so I always get a package or buy them through Groupon.

I was excited to use my two Mystic Tan sessions for two different special occasions this summer. I am very fair skinned and don’t ever tan. I called ahead to see if there was a wait or needed to make an RSVP. I didn’t need to, so I went during a lunch break at work.
The Mystic booth was not clean or ready. I had to ask for it to be wiped down. I asked for their recommendation, as I wanted a «glow» that did not look fake. I walked out looking like an oompa loompa.
The second visit, the booth was clean and I opted for the first level of color, it came out great.
My only complaint was the up selling and pressure to buy a package. The person at the counter tried to tell me that my second Groupon session was actually supposed to be a «credit» towards a package. When I told her the Groupon I purchased was for two Mystic sessions, she said that she had to call her manager. The manager did not pick up the phone, but the girl at the counter was going to «let me use the Mystic, but put a special note on my account that it was supposed to go towards a package»

I am not a «fake and bake» type of person. I like to keep my skin au naturel. But I had a yearning the type of warmth that a tanning bed would bring. Also, in moderation, I am told that tanning gives a dose of vitamin D. «Just a few minutes» I told myself, won’t do any damage. So I went with a girlfriend who had extra tans to burn at Tan Rio and she generously gave me one. Since I am practically virginal (skin-​wise) I only went in for 8 minutes to avoid any sort of burning.
My last memories of tanning facilities were from about 15 years ago. I remember they always had a funky odor of burned flesh and the beds were always warm from the burned bodies that had baked there before me. It always sort of grossed me out.
Walking into Tan Rio was like a breath of fresh air. The young lady behind the counter was helpful and professional and interestingly, was not excessively tanned.
Once inside the changing room the appearance and aroma of cleanliness continued. There were several small towels and even little mints next to the table. The bed was a breeze to operate and my 8 minutes was over with in the blink of an eye.
Tan Rio is also aesthetically pleasing. In the event that you show up at a busy time and you have to wait for one of the many tanning beds or like me, wait for your friend who is using the facial machine that takes 20 minutes, there is a comfortable waiting area with couches and up-​to-​date magazines.
This tanning experience was so relaxing that I am sort of reconsidering whether or not I am a «fake and bake» type of person… I just don’t want to be tan.

I do not tan often — I actually went in here for the first time (and one of the only times I had tanned in my life) before a trip to Hawaii so that I could get a base going…
Despite it being my first time and me being a total newbie — the staff was super helpful, kind and patient with me.
I ended up going almost every other day for two or three weeks to get my tan on… and every single time I was greeted by a friendly face.
They did not make me feel like I was getting ripped off — they never pushed me to buy a package I said I wasn’t interested in… and they really went above and beyond to make me comfortable and make my experience a positive one.
I haven’t gone back since — but do plan on it if I ever need to tan again — probably next spring to get ready for bikini season!
I definitely recommend this place.
