Not too bad for a quick bite that is right around the corner from our house. The food has been decent, but every time we go, there has been a group of what I assume are«regulars» at the bar that are extremely loud and very disruptive to other diners. I’m not sure if there’s much the restaurant can do about that. I want to like this place, so I will try again to see if I have a better experience next time. The servers are also friendly, though.

This place needs a remodel and a professional cleaning. The don’t have any music going at all. They should have some background noise like some soft jazz or anything! It’s so awkward in there. The bartenders are super nice though.

We ordered food from Delivery Dish on a free delivery day and decided to give Walter Mitty’s a go. That was a first and last experience for sure. Though we were hardly expecting gourmet food but we at least expected the price match the item. With their pricing I would at least expect fresh food but most tasted like it was created from frozen foods. I started with the fish and chips — the fish was pretty good as well as the tarter sauce but I ate one fry… they were not even seasoned with salt and tasted freezer burned. We ordered the crab appetizer which tasted über fishy and then spiced… overly so — probably trying to cover the fish flavor. My husband got their chicken picata which was bland. We also got clam chowder which I could not barely touch due to the overwhelming clam flavor — the clams were rubber and it was like trying to eat a can of the worst clams ever. It was pretty terrible.

Disappointed. Bought a groupon to give this place a shot but sadly it was horrible. Service was great, prompt and friendly. We ordered from the regular menu crab dip and the happy hour menu, wings, cheese burger, quesadillas, spicy potato bites. The crab dip was off meaning old tasting, fishy and bland the bread served along the side was stale. I know the cook microwaved this dish which I am sure was a week or so old. The wings were the smallest wings I have ever seen. I order happy hour wings at several other establishments the wings served here are hilarious. As I was pinching my fingers to hold these tiny things I felt like Tom Hanks in Big the baby corn scene… seriously! The burger was a dry previously frozen patty with unmelted cheese on an average bun. The quesadilla was not bad but super tiny. If your going to do group on to draw business you better Bring It! Probably won’t be back unless Gorden Ramsey comes to town to help this place out!
Possibly the best onion rings in town. LOVE the signature Spinach Salad! Friendly staff, cozy neighborhood place. So nice to eat outside in the summer.

This place is OK. Not spectacular, but not bad. Just… Meh. I got the«chicken to crow about» sandwich and for some reason it tasted pretty bland. My girlfriend got the poncho mitty salad which was actually really good. So maybe today was an off day or something. Service was real good tho.

great deck for the summer. Their spinach salad is fantastic. Burgers are great as well. Fun neighborhood bar and eats.

Bartender was disrespectful and reluctant to serve my party of six because two of our party were minors. She asked for all of our IDs even though the minors were only drinking sodas, which she said was OLCC law. Well it isn’t. She came off annoyed and kept coming up with excuses as to why we couldn’t be served. They told us we could sit on the patio initially and then changed their minds. As one person from our party went in to get a drink menu, which we’d asked for and never received, she heard the servers debating whether or not we would be asked to leave for no apparent reason or asked to sit inside to be supervised. Granted, it was late(10:30pm), but we were paying customers and acting polite. Also, when we asked about the margarita special listed on the board at the front entrance, the bartender feigned ignorance. Overall, they acted as though we were an inconvenience which was very offensive. We left after being ignored and not receiving our drinks. Instead of apologizing, she told us to «Come back when we’re over 21» which four of us already are. Horrible service, don’t recommend you to visit.

I love this place. I especially love the wilted spinach salad and their cucumber cosmo.

Came here on a Friday night with a coupon(that we forgot to use!) and they had a lot of tables filled up. It was nice and warm/cozy inside. Dated décor, but I thought it was fitting for the ambiance. The hostess and servers were pretty friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend wearing torn, peach colored jeggings while serving food to customers. But that’s just me. The menu had typical diner-style food. Lots of seafood and salads to choose from. –Onion Rings appetizer was GOOD. Nice and crisp, and really good dipping sauce. –Mommy got the Halibut fish n’ chips, with a baked potato instead, and side salad. The Halibut was pretty good. It tasted fresh(not frozen, yay!) and just enough batter for the right amount of crunch. The baked potato only came with sour cream and butter, but at least it was on the side. The salad I got was old, black, and wilted. Kinda gross actually. I had to send it back and the server brought back soup(beef and potato I think) instead, which tasted good. –Daddy got the red snapper, which was pretty tasty too. The almonds looked like they were just thrown on top, but at least it was a nice effort. –Kiddos got the mini corndogs, and they were a HIT. It’s a rare sight to see my daughter clean her plate, and I ate a couple myself. Overall, it’s ok. The gross salad really turned me off, and the fact that she didn’t offer to replace the salad with a better one told me that everyone who got a salad tonight probably ate old, black, wilted salad too. Eww. I’d come back for the Halibut and corndogs though… maybe…

I like the ambiance… its very warm and inviting. I would probably go back just for that. It was really hard to find so if it is your first time going, just know that it is on the top above the parking garage, but the entrance is in the corner of the upper parking-lot-strip-mall area. The food is very typical bar fare, unfortunately, and nothing I had really stood out.

We’ve been here twice thanks to a couple Groupons and both times have been very enjoyable. The food is excellent for a bar setting. Even though the décor is a bit dated, it’s a comfortable environment with friendly service. Great place to take advantage of happy hour specials and watch a game too.

This place just gets better every time I return, better service better food. I am addicted to the blue cheese burger and yesterday it was done perfectly. The fries are crisp and tasty, my partner had a patty melt and raved about it. For a sports bar it is pretty quiet … you can actually have a nice conversation. Oh, and the warm chocolate cake is a special treat, give it a try.

Ahh… the place to get a midday beer. The food and staff are great. Drinks can be strong or weak depending on who’s pouring. The owner, Mike, is fantastic! It gets 3 stars though because other than the convenience of it being nearby, I wouldn’t think I’d venture my way out from Beaverton to come here. Still, if you’re in the area, this place is awesome!

The onion rings are light and a great starter. I had the Mitty salad with mushrooms, eggs and spinach and it is just right. The service is good and friendly and sitting on the deck is a pleasure in warmer weather.

Good pub food. I had a decent bacon cheeseburger. The menu is big enough that there were many things I wouldn’t have minded trying. They have happy hour from 3 to 6 pm daily. Happy hour items seem like they would be a great deal.

I stopped in here to have a little me time after studying for my finals. The bartenders and staff are super friendly. Every night at 10 pm they give out free pizza. I think that is very nice, and if you’re feeling famished after a few beers you might want a snack. They have a nice patio, and view from the deck. I heard Happy Hour there is great, and will try to make it in there soon to try it out.

Located across the street from the PCC Sylvania Campus in a hidden strip-mall houses what I would consider to be a college-town pub slightly out of its element in Lake Oswego. The atmosphere inside is pretty dingy and looks like it’s still trying to cling on to its old glory days of decades past, but that’s expected of what an old college-town pub would be like. It’s not for me personally. Oh, and there’s patio seating… with spiders… What makes this place amazing is the«Walter Mitty’s ‘World Famous’ Wilted Spinach Salad.» You get hot teriyaki chicken, diced bacon, a hard-boiled egg, blue cheese crumbles, warm artichoke hearts, mushrooms slices(not for me), and spinach leaves mixed into a devilishly delicious meal that’s probably not very healthy for you, but so what! Service has always been fast and friendly, even though the food has been very hit-and-miss with other items on the menu: The halibut fish & chips portion size is very small and not worth the price and the soups have been a constant source of disappointment. However, I’m told by my friends that the burgers are quite good. Apart from this, the other offerings seem to be very average at a solid 3 stars. Food: 3 Service: 5 Ambiance: 1 Value: 4 TL;DR: College dive with an awesome«World Famous» Spinach Salad

I’ve been to this place three times this week. Almost every time it wasn’t my idea but it’s a great little meeting spot so I continue to come back and enjoy the atmosphere and tasty food. They have a happy hour which runs 3p to 6p and a small menu of happy hour items. The only clause is you must buy a drink(it can be a soda if you choose) with the happy hour treats. It used to be you could only get the happy hour treats inside but now they allow them on the deck so that’s a plus especially with all the nice weather we’ve been having. Today I had the oriental chicken salad which is a huge supply of veggies and so much I took it home for a dinner. You know I’ll be back.
