Do NOT go here for the Steak! Went on a Friday before Valentines and wanted Fish/Seafood, but was told it was Frozen. Opted for Valentines«Special» of 2 Ribeyes w/trimmings. Yuck, double Yuck. Frozen app. of okra, frozen broccoli and a very lackluster form of «ribeye’ or something similar. Service was great — but everything else went downhill. Wished they had been closed.

Food was good. Service was great. Prices were fantastic. Only negative, I wish they gave as much love to the side dishes as the do the meat.

We arrived the evening of July 4th to get dinner before going to watch fireworks. We waited to be seated although there was no line and probably 10 open tables. Once seated, at least 3 servers walked by multiple times and dealt with the surrounding tables and no one acknowledged our presence. We waited for 20 minutes and no one even made eye contact with us. The server talking to the table next to us said the kitchen was going crazy and apologized for their wait. I have worked in many restaurants and there was no reason for the craze. No large parties nor were the tables full. We left an no one took notice. We had a great dinner at Pizza Hut instead.

Food was great, but good lord — 45 minutes for jalapeño poppers and cheese fries is a bit ridiculous. I didn’t get to order a steak because I didn’t have another hour to wait. They weren’t that busy, and several people who were seated AFTER we ordered our appetizers had eaten their entire meals and were leaving by the time our appetizers even came out. Unacceptable…

Great spot to stop while driving to or from Florida. They have a fantastic kids menu with something like 10 choices(hot dog, mac & cheese, pulled pork, even franks & beans), and just as many side items to choose from — side items are for either adults or kids. =) I found the kitschy cowboy decorations to be adorable. My pulled pork sandwich was solidly good, corn fritters were very tasty, and the cowboy beans(baked beans) were delicious. So much better than most restaurants near the highway. Service was quick as well. I will definitely stop here again if I am hungry and in the neighborhood.

Good was great! Service was about as interesting as a dial tone. Ate pulled pork and ribs from the smoker… Locked the plate. Salads were good too. Definitely beats the fast food near by.

I was in Lake Park for one day and we went to Cowboys for dinner since it was within walking distance from our hotel. The staff was nice, the food was good and reasonably priced, and Deanne was a great server/bartender. We even came back later in the evening for drinks. I’ll go there again the next time I am staying in the area.

Six of enjoyed a late lunch here and had very adequate portions.(4 took home leftovers) They were very accommodating and even prepared a couple dishes from their new menu which is not being used yet. Hostess and waitress were both friendly and attentive.

My wife & I paid our first visit to this fairly new restaurant in the old Sonny’s BBQ building in Lake Park, GA. The hostess was friendly, and we were seated immediately. Our orders were taken quickly. I ordered ½ rack of Baby Back ribs, baked sweet potato and slaw. My wife ordered pulled pork, sweet potato fries and slaw. I drank sweet tea, and she had the water. The ribs were good, but a very small portion compared to the Smokin’ Pig in North Valdosta. The sweet potato fries were excellent! The baked sweet potato was OK, but only luke warm. Neither of us liked the slaw. The waitress was attentive at first, but spent much of her time chatting with other staff. We had to flag down another employee to get her to come back and bring us the check. We rated this OK, but for the money, we felt like we get much better value at the Smokin’ Pig, and definitely much larger portions!

Went to Cowboys the other day, nice guns for handles on the doors. We were greeted promptly by a gum chewing hostess who took us to our table. We were told that our waitress would be there shortly. Well the” Sweetie” waitress arrived; every question she asked was followed by the word” Sweetie”. I felt like I was sitting at a counter at a bad truck stop. The«sweetie» waitress brought us our bread, but no plates to put it on. I can handle that. Well here she comes again. «What would you like, SWEETIE» she asked everyone at the table the same question. We gave her our order. The food arrived it was ok, but you need to specify the kind of rice being served. The Sweetie waitress comes around and asked my husband who had a full glass of water, if he would like more water, Sweetie. Never asked if I or the other person who was with us if we needed more ice tea which we had almost finished. We looked at each other and said, «We must be the wrong gender». You need to stop all the gum chewing, the hostess was not the only one chewing it saw a waiter chewing gum too. People need to be greeted in a polite way, and being called Sweetie doesn’t cut it. I might try it again in a few months.

The minute we walked in the staff was very attentive, however once we sat down to order… Well we ordered the chicken and two sides. It’s a lot like Sonnys only a little higher end prices. Peanuts on the table, atmosphere was good, but the food ?? Well the chicken was dry way over cooked the side were adequate. But as for me it will be a very long time before coming back…
