Walmart Supercenter

I usually go to the O’fallon Wal-​Mart but since they don’t stock shelves, are always out of the same items for weeks on end and never have any lanes open, we decided to drive the extra five miles to see if this Wal-​Mart is any better. Everything we wanted to buy, was actually available at this store, unlike the O’fallon Wal-​Mart. The store was clean, stocked and the employees were friendly and they had plenty of check out lanes open for a Saturday. I’m giving them 5 stars based on the poor experiences I have had at other Wal-​Mart stores and especially the O’fallon Wal-​Mart. I found my new Wal-​Mart store.

Walmart sometimes gets a bad rap, which can be unfair to the Walmart staffers who go out of their way to get it right. So I just wanted to say that the Lake St. Louis location, in particular, is far superior to most of the other Walmart stores that I have been to over the years.
I shopped pre-​Black Friday on Thanksgiving Night this year, because there was a nice television set on sale. The people were wall to wall, packed in, like sardines.
However, the managers had every Black Friday sale item on a easy-​to-​locate map and handed out line tickets to alleviate stampedes and prevent any problems with people fighting or shoving over items. Everything remained very calm and civil.
I got a line ticket for a television that I wanted, and relaxed with something I brought to read, and did some other shopping while waiting for the pick-​up time. One of the managers handed each person their box, and I couldn’t be happier with the way it was handled. The Dept Managers are always so friendly and helpful.
A common complaint is the lack of open registers — but that’s not the store’s fault.
This store is brighter and cleaner and better stocked than most. If you notice they are running low on something, let them know — the Lake St. Louis-O’Fallon-Dardenne Prairie clientele and the above average employees are Top Notch here.

This Walmart actually has the a full selection… as it is a full size store.
Check-​out here is a bit better than most Walmart locations when I have been.

Another visit to this store. This time around 8 pm. As we are walking through the aisles guys with large pallets are coming down the aisles and they weren’t too interested if myself or anyone else was there. Made it difficult to navigate store. Never did find washer fluid. Checking out we found one lane not busy but after unloading cart realized the woman in front of us was an employee with a couple transactions. The person ringing out a friend and each item was scanned admired and discussed SLOWLY.

I mean… it’s Walmart.

I shop here a lot. It’s close. They have a broad selection of daily-​necessity kinds of things. Automotive department has been responsive, even after the move by Jiffy Lube to take over the servicing element in automotive.
This store generally seems to be clean. Staff are generally pretty friendly and helpful. Shelves are usually stocked reasonably well.
I prefer this store to the other store equidistant to our location, being the one in Wentzville.

Fairly clean, and stocked.
