Excelsior Comics and Collectibles

Hours are wrong everywhere. Showed up to the store and they don’t open for another two hours. Waste of time

I had this place suggested to me by a friend, he claimed they had some pretty neat stuff there. I went one day in search of a Blackest Night Graphic Novel (pardon my geekiness).
I couldn’t really find what I was looking for, so I informed the man behind the counter, he kindly showed me where I needed to look, and told me when he would be getting a hold of more things related to what I was getting. The one thing that was strange is that the cashier was barefoot, and I don’t know why…
It’s not a big place for a comic book store, but they are filled to the brim with lots of comic books. However, compared to Past, Present & Future Comics (another local comic book store), this place lacks in variety and size. Which is my only reason to rate 4 out of 5.

Very friendly staff, lots off cool comics, my son said it was the best comic book store around! They even gave us each a free comic!

I had lost touch with comics for many years until I stepped into Excelsior just to check out the new comic shop in Lake Worth. Since that day I have been there every week usually two to three times a week. Jay and Sophia are great people that make you fell welcome in their shop always. When I shop there I fell like I am just hanging out at a friend’s house. They always have great recommendations and I can say I have not been disappointed with one recommendation yet. And unlike other shops in the area there is no judgement passed on what you like to read or what kind of collectibles you like. They welcome and respect all fandoms and if they don’t have what you’re looking for they will do their best to find it for you and get it at a fair price. I am greatful to have such a wonderful shop so close to home and to fell like part of the House Excelsior family. Jay and Sophia thank you for deciding on Lake Worth for your shop you guys really embody the fun loving spirit of the downtown area. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that eveyone stop in and say hi you will be met by the two nicest people in Lake Worth.

Any comic book store that has as much enthusiasm for Aquaman as this place deserves my recommendation. My girlfriend and I walked in on a whim during their grand opening. Unbeknownst to myself, they had a sale on Aquaman («You know you love his trident,» the billboard outside read), so I ended up grabbing two TPBs.
The owner was super friendly and outgoing, telling me how much he personally enjoyed reading one of the volumes I was purchasing. I always try to spot board games when I go into comic book stores — something this place doesn’t have, but it’s still a great source for comics in Lake Worth that I’m very excited about. Plus, you gotta love a name like «Excelsior!»
