Awesome lite hideout in lakeworth. Ok selection of beers but the food is amazing and authentic Cuban cuisine.

Havanna hideout is a dive type bar/restaurant in downtown lake worth. We came here during the lake worth street art fest and was attracted by a large sign that said«no wait outdoor courtyard». We sat outside and the courtyard is sandy to imitate the beach. It filled up pretty quickly so we were lucky to have gotten a spot. The menu is really just a board on the side of the wall that lists what’s available with no prices. By the looks of things and most menu items you know it’s not gonna be super expensive. We got an order of empanadas and a Cuban sandwich. To drink I got the jalapeño peach sangria and my boyfriend got a beer. The sangria was not that great. It tasted like straight up white wine with like peach schnapps in it with some hot sauce. It grew on me though and I drank the whole thing but stuck with beer after. The empanadas were the winner here. We got an assortment of three(black bean, beef, chicken). All were good but black bean was our favorite. The Cuban was good but not amazing. Definitely had better but edible. The thing that was super cool here was the atmosphere. The prices are cheap the service was quick considering how busy they were. If I lived near by I’d probably chill here all the time outside with a beer especially at night. It looks like they have cool lights all over. They have a stage where I imagine bands play. When we were there jacqi-oke was hosting kareoke.

Don’t waste your time here because they certainly will! The service is the worst you’ll ever experience. Food is subpar at best. They just need to get a tow truck and hook it to the kitchen trailer and pull it to the dump. Sucks!

Great atmosphere with the outdoor sandy eating space and Adirondack chairs. Good beer but LOUSY fish tacos. I think they got their shells from an old El Paso box at the grocery store. Go to hang out and drink beer but don’t go for the food.

I order the fish tacos every time I come here because years ago when I first tried them I fell in love. However, they always change the recipe(or the cooks need better training?) and the lack of consistency is disappointing

We have been going here for the past 2 years and the service and food can be hit or miss. There is usually not much consistency when it comes to this place. I give it 4 stars as I love the atmosphere(outdoor and sand) and I always remind myself it’s like a dive bar. Drinks are pretty cheap and they seem to always have a good selection on beers. There beer on tap could be a little colder so I will sometimes get something in a bottle. I always get their chips and salsa. The salsa isn’t the best but pretty good once I add salt. I am happy they brought back the rice bowl. It’s plenty of food for me and only $ 5 — it’s delicious! My husband always gets the Cuban sandwich and really likes it every time. Don’t go here if your in a hurry. Come here to relax and have a good time. The live music is also great.

Havana Hideout is the best! I have been to Havana Hideout on several occasions. I usually go just for a couple beers and don’t normally eat. The other day I went by myself and thoroughly enjoyed my time. Changes: One major recent change that I am the biggest fan of is the menu change! The menu is a bit smaller now and a lot easier to read! Another plus about the menu that no one should complain about EVER is that the prices are less expensive than the previous menu. YES Lets start off with the service. Service: Brandon is such a sweetheart! Very attentive. Always made sure that I was okay. The food got to me very quickly even with a lot of people being taken care of at the same time. I ordered chips queso and guac. SODELICIOUS. Ambiance: Because of this amazing experience by myself, I decided to bring my boyfriend and nephew to Havana Hideout during the recent parade. This night was by far the best experience I have ever had at Havana Hideout! SOAMAZING. There was a live Cuban band. The restaurant was the most busy I had ever seen it. STILL got amazing service from the tall girl with short hair… Her name isn’t coming to me at the moment. The music was the best. My boyfriend and I were planning on grabbing a beer or two and leaving. We ended up staying for a while. Enjoying the amazing band. I still cannot believe how beyond amazing the band was. I am hoping they play again at Havana Hideout in the near future. Couple got up to dance. It was really an awesome experience. This time around we ordered the pulled pork huge portion of nachos! Delicious like always! Thank you !!

Only reason for two stars is the food. It was good… not great mind you but good. It took 15 minutes to get our first drink… another 15 for our server Jess to take our order. We were told there was no pork… a Cuban restaurant without pork! I ordered a «what guy had» platter that came with a Cuban sandwich. Since there was no pork I elected for a second fish taco. I got two chicken tacos. I also ordered 3 empenadas…2 spicy beef and one chicken. Guess what I got? 2 chicken, one spicy beef. For the life of me I can’t understand why DDD was here… do yourself a favor and avoid it!

Stopped through as a DDD check mark. Parking and location was a bit confusing because it’s behind a different building but good thing there’s a back entrance. There’s only outside seating but it was great beachy atmosphere with sand and cabanas. We both ordered«Get what Guy got» which included a fish taco, pionono, and Cuban sandwich. I’m not a huge fan of fish tacos so to me it tasted wet and cold with soggy pineapple juice. I loved the pionono and the Cuban sandwich was average. Ok experience I think I was hyped up and expected more.

Lovely, berry Sangria. At $ 5.00, I think the chips and salsa was overpriced. The chips were fresh but the salsa was almost completely flavorless and I saw no other bottled alternatives on tables like you would expect with which I’d have doctored it. Had the Triple D fish tacos. They were, shockingly, only about ¼ full and really flavorless as well. Horribly disappointing! Cute atmosphere, friendly but very relaxed(S.L.O.W) service. I do NOT recommend.

Prices are good, but the food here is more appetizers not really a «have dinner» restaurant. The place is cool, the bar looked more busy than the restaurant area. They have craft beers from local breweries. The service was ok, nothing special.

3 sangria and not even close to a buzz. Guacamole is good. Tacos over rated. It made the the foodie network review about 8 years ago and they are still hanging on to that on their menu. Do not believe the hype.

This place is over rated. I was so disappointed in my whole experience there. Let me begin & I’ll keep this to the point. The inner«bar» area has all of like 4 stools and is absolutely tiny. The ladies restroom is horribly designed, there are two«stalls but there is no partition, instead there are shower curtains to(attempt to) provide privacy. They serve local craft beers but, they are served in flimsy plastic cups. They do offer samples which is nice. The outdoor area is definitely cute & has an island feel with sand floor and picnic tables for seating. There is a stage for music. There was a two man jazz band playing which was great. That was the best part. Now for the two most important factors, the food and the service. Food, it wasn’t good. My friend and I ordered the fish tacos which were cold. I don’t know what type of fish was in them either. They were so spicy that it was impossible to tell where the fish started and the«mango salsa» ended. The flavors just mingled together in this spicy matrix of I don’t know what. The food comes with no sides, no salsa, no sour cream. You do get a plastic spork though. The shells were crunchy but, nothing special you could pick them up at any store, unremarkable really. The food is made on a food truck in the back of the place, there’s no kitchen. For $ 9 it’s a major let down. I only ate 1 of the 2 tacos. The service was just, okay. Nothing great. The waitress seemed to just be lingering about. We inquired about sauces for the tacos and she really wasn’t aware of what they had. She brought two plastic squeezy bottles, one green sauce, one red. The bartender inside was cool. He had personality at least. I had very high hopes for this place. I wanted to give 5 stars. 2 stars, one for the patio area outside and one for the great music. This place should just stick to booze and atmosphere, leave the food to somewhere else.

First time here and the food was great. They only had one waitress named Tracy. She was taking orders, running food at the same time and was also bartending. I give her credit I don’t know how she does it with a bunch of customers every where. But the place is very chill. No wonder a lot of people likes to hangout here. Will definitely come back but please add more staffs especially on a busy Monday night like this.

Went there today with the family. My 9 year old daughter loved her beef tacos with salsa, sour cream and guacamole on the side. My son ordered the mojo pork nachos, he and I agreed that they were the best nachos we ever had. My wife had the Baja grouper tacos loaded with guacamole and salsa, she couldn’t finish the second one, everything tasted so fresh and good. I had the Guy platter and also have a lot left over. I have to say the tacos and nachos are the best I ever had in South Florida. The atmosphere is really nice outdoors under the tiki huts, fans blowing to keep it cool. The waitstaff was really friendly and accomodating, will definitely bring friends and family when they come to visit.

Nothing special. We didn’t get«what guy got» but our guac pork? tacos were seriously lacking in flavor. One waitresses/bartender for the whole place. Cool craft beer selections, but def a «dive».

Haven’t been here since they changed owners. The last time we were here, we came back two days later. Well, today was just bad. The guacamole was pretty good along with the blue corn tortilla chips. However, the crispy fish tacos were downright tasteless. The salsa had no flavor and looked bland and tasted the same. The Cuban was fine so stuck with that as the goto meal. The pionono was okay but nowhere near as good as the last time. Overall very disappointing given we were waiting and talking about this for weeks. We probably won’t go back unless we get someone to try and tell us otherwise — unless we need a Cuban fix.

DDD got it right! A semi-permanent food truck serving great Cuban and Mexican food. I enjoyed«Guy’s» 2 toco combo with some great Colorado Fat Tire beer. The Special Beer Menu appears to revolve on some basis no doubt determined by the Beer Distributer? But a good way to revolve through craft beers selected by some one who knows more that I do. No frills, outside only dining, without much shade. But the food is great.

My wife and I love to look for places showcased on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. This place falls into the Dive category. I had the Cuban Sandwich/fish taco/pionono sampler. All items featured on the show. The fish taco was the only item I did not like, but then again, I don’t like any fish tacos and this one had pineapple on it(which I don’t like as well). The Cuban was good but the star was the pionono. Sort of a Cuban Shepard’s Pie. It saved the meal. Service was mediocre, but the setting was unique. We sat outside, under a thatch took with sand under our feet. Worth trying.

Reviews should be in the context of the business. Havana hideout is supposed to be a dive bar with an island feel that caters to the beer drinkers that want to hang out and listen to an open mike night or live music. Good beer list, great laid back vibe.
