I have been here several times. Awesome service and staff. They go out of their way for their customers. Very straightforward, knowledgable and courteous.

I called & spoke to Mike for a quote on replacing a starter on my 2007 Dodge Caliber. I told him I’d previously gotten a quote from Palm Beach Tire in WPB for $ 225 — but they were closed Sundays. He told me $ 330, then said I could buy the part but he wouldn’t warranty it. The part is less than $ 100 at Auto Zone and it’s an hour and 15 minute job!
So, I should pay this guy $ 230 for 1.16 hours of labor? He tried to BS me off the phone; about whether I was quoted for a poor quality starter, etc.

I stopped by this place on a holiday for an oil change and to have my check engine light read. They were busy and closing soon, but they still took my car in. 30 minutes later my car had its oil changed and they fixed the issue causing the check engine light to come on. All done correctly, quickly, and for a super low price.

What’s in a name? In this case, everything. Ultimate Auto Service lives up to that name in a way I have never seen before. My wife has many friends that have used Jim McBrides Ultimate Auto Service and have raved about the quality and customer service he provides. Today I experienced it first hand. My car had been acting up but I was not in any hurry to take it to some unknown mechanic and get fleeced. Today my procrastination caused me to miss a day of work because the car would not start. I have done my own repairs over the years. As a kid I was a Chevy guy. Rebuilt my first engine at 17 and it fired up at the turn of the key. I finally managed to get it running and decided to give the place my wife mentioned a try.
People say first impressions are everything. My first impression was that this place was impressive. Two banks of garages, all clean as a whistle. I met Jim and immediately had a sense that he knew what he was talking about. Today’s cars are so much more complicated than the ones I worked on as a young man. It didn’t take long for a call and a diagnosis. I gave the okay and much to my surprise the repair was completed the same day, and at a fair price. I highly recommend Jim McBride’s team at Ultimate Auto Service.

Excellent service. Very professional, mechanics know car in and out. Will fix just what need it. I do all my repairs with them after long time search for good mechanic. If you have problems with car definitely stop by this place.

This place is the real deal.
Arriving from Boston to visit my father in law I was freaked out by how poorly his Camry was running– chugging and lagging and choking along; at 200K it’s still going but on the cut throat boulevards of West Palm to loose your acceleration could cost you your life– red lights are for sissy’s and lanes are suggestions so getting out of the way is paramount! He’s not really on his game right now and thus has no idea the last time he had a tune up.
Unilocaling around where I was trying to grocery shop I see this place– 5 stars? I call. Yes, they will see us. Come on by. Thank you.
We pull in to a full parking lot. 4 bays full of cars, people waiting and still, some one goes and checks the car within five minutes of us pulling in. Thank you.
Verdict– we need a tune up. Badly. And maybe a «Blah blah» which is an extra $ 100. «But it’s not gonna happen today!» oh. And then he says, «wait a minute» and goes to call some places, comes back and says– ok. You may or may not need this but I ordered it and we can get this done. Thank you.
We go shopping, come back. Car’s done. Thank you
No extra $ 100 blah blah needed. Thank you.

I brought in my Mercedes S55 for a «B service». The owner is from Brooklyn and loves to talk with his customers. The techs seemed to know their business and the shop was clean and well organized. The prices were low and the service seemed honest and competent. I’ll definitely be back.

My car was towed in and Mike did a simple re-​programming of a computer chip in the ignition key. He charged me $ 0 and sent me on my way. You couldn’t get anyone more honest than that! And it’s not like he didn’t do anything for me, he did actually spend time performing a service for me. Now I feel guilty. oh well. .. 5 stars!

This is by far the best and most HONEST auto shop EVER! As a single woman I have been going here for years. I have never been over charged. In fact, my first experience a few years ago was when I knew I was a customer for life. The owner told me that the repair would cost as much as the car was worth, and I would be better off to save that $ and get a new car. I was floored. He could have easily charged me $ 1500 and looked the other way. This place cares, they are real people and the only place I go to for everything from oil changes to major work.
