Sushi was amazing along with the Udon. Our server Jeff was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Will definitely be returning here. Atmosphere is very comfortable, they need more road presence though. They may look closed or empty but it’s not.

Food was fantastic. Our table had everything from rolls to tempura to hibachi steak with fried rice. Food exceeded our expectations. Service was extreamly fast, friendly and curtious. It was an added bonus that they had outside seating. I would highly recommend everyone to give this place a chance. We are defiantly going back!

We came here for dinner, and immediately when I walked in I was impressed! This place is really classy compared to a lot of other sushi places. Great lighting, a walkway and seating outside, very serene, and clean. It wasn’t busy at all when we got here, so we were seated right away. They have a nice variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. They also have hibachi, but they do not cook it in front of you and put on a show like other places. I’m ok with that. The hibachi meals are a good deal — you get a lot of food for the price. I ordered 2 sushi rolls, and they tasted good, but the rice was skimpy and the roll was very loose. I’ve had better. We ended up ordering the Mai Tai, and those were very good. They have a nice beer/wine/sake/cocktail menu. We also ordered the green tea crème brulé, which sounds weird, but it was so good! They also have a cute café with gelato, coffee, macaroons, and other goodies. The service was very good, no complaints there at all. I just wish the sushi rolls were a little better. But overall the atmosphere alone is great, and I would come back and try other things.

Went to Ai Hana Japan for dinner last night. I am not a big fan of sushi but my friend was raving about this place and she was right. We split three sushi rolls and all were delicious! I am definitely coming back and highly recommend. The service was good and we didn’t have any trouble with our food arriving at different times. Please give this place a try. It is not getting much traffic and it would be a shame for the business not to make it.

We recently had dinner here and were very pleased. Cute space, attentive and knowledgable service, great selection. Will definitely come back. Loved that they had a coffee bar there, too. Our server let us sample the Dutch coffee, which I had never heard of. Delicious!

This was a pleasant surprise. The food was really good and service was great as well. Not many people, so I hope the restaurant succeeds. The Godzilla roll was amazing!

It’s a little alarming when it’s 5:48 on Saturday night and my party is the only one occupying the gigantic space. Another issue is that all the food came out at different times. Two people in our party got their food 10 minutes before my boyfriend and I. The food itself– I’ve had a lot of habachi style in my life but this has been some of the worst I’ve had. The chicken was rubbery and it tasted of plastic and had a bad after taste. The teriyaki sauce was very salty and left a bad taste in my mouth. They still have Christmas lights and a Christmas tree up. No music, dead quiet. Overall not a great experience:/

Giving Ai a try tonight having a bunch of Hibachi going down… also some sukiyaki and large Sapporo’s. OK first off our orders came out a separate times I hate watching people eat while I wait. My Hibachi was pretty good I must say my sweethearts sukiyaki was good also, prepared well. They need to get their timing down and work on the ambiance i.e. take down the Xmas decorations after the first of the year. Also the my want to incorporate some music to set a mood. I’m going to give it a four star for the food but 2 for the ambiance it needs lots of work! That puts them at a 3 stars for me. P. S. Our server was very nice.

Very good restaurant! There weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant at 6pm tonight, but I can’t imagine why! Very nice and clean inside, very spacious with high ceilings. The food tasted excellent, service was great, very comfortable atmosphere! THISPLACEISBETTERTHANKOBEDOWNTHESTREET… I’ll definitely be dining here again!

I am reviewing the Ron Café, the Coffeehouse this Japanese Restaurant seconds as by day… Great Starbucks alternative in the Lake Zurich area to read and have some good coffee. Some might miss it, not suspecting a coffeehouse in a Japanese restaurant. They have good coffee and a lot of places to sit and relax with some friends or just a good book. I highly recommend checking this place out, seeing as there is not much by way of coffeehouses in Lake Zurich.

Super cute new restaurant! It was sadly completely dead for a Sunday afternoon:(we were the only table between 430pm and like 530pm. No one came in after us which worries me for such a new place. The staff was very nice and we had a young male waiter who was attentive. I got a few rolls, crunch Kani and and baby godzilla because I don’t much like the raw stuff. They were both good especially because we could hear them frying up my shrimps each time! No soggy tempura here! The eel sauce was very good and so was the spicy mayo. My boyfriend for the Japanese soup pot which he said was good but a little sweet if you’ve never had it before. It was LOADED with beef, mushrooms, cabbage, tofu, and glass noodles. He barely finished half because the portion was huge! They give you a raw egg to dip your meat into but that was too out there for me. Bf tried it and said it was good, the thought of eating raw egg wasn’t for me and he eventually stirred it into the soup. I don’t think I’d order that myself but it seemed pretty authentic. I also got the tempura ice cream which was strawberry flavored and yummmmy. I ate it so fast I forgot to take a pic! The Bf also had their fried octopus appetizer which he said was good, I tried a bite but it was too fishy for me. Then again I don’t much like seafood. I would say the service, food quality, and new restaurant feel Def warrant a visit. I would have gotten the gyoza but I eat that so often I skipped it. As far as my usual requirement for ayce sushi goes, this was definitely worth the money. For two cokes, the octopus app, three rolls, Japanese soup, and the dessert our total was 64 bucks. I left full and happy.

Love the atmosphere. They’ve converted this building from a failed mini-golf business, so props to them for making such a homey, comfortable dining space out of that previous space. There are couches and furniture that would be easy to sit with a book and a drink in as well as chairs and tables and highboy tables as well. I’ve been here twice: first for only a snack and second for lunch. For the snack, I’d wanted to try this new place out, so I only purchased 1 simple roll(avocado, cucumber, salmon) and a small bowl of edamame. I was pleased with everything from the food to the service. They were not busy, and I think I accidentally came in during the break time when the staff usually eats together. However they seated me and didn’t rush me at all. The second time I came in for lunch and tried their salmon bento box which was great! Good sized portions, and everything was tasty from the way the salmon was good, to the surprisingly tasty fried rice, to the ample amount of tempura, and even the rich miso soup to start with. While not a cheap bento box, it was a very satisfying one. The prices seem fair for a sushi-based restaurant, and my sushi tasted fresh, and all of the hot foods were fresh and crunchy. I will certainly return to try more in the future.

I ordered the bibimbap, and it was delicious! They also have a lot of different rolls you can order, and I really liked the hot green tea that I ordered. Combine that with a very beautiful inside décor and excellent service, and you have a very nice restaurant that I urge others to stop by, and one that I’ll definitely be returning to!

This place is a wonderful addition to our choices for dinner or a nice lunch in Lake Zurich! I had the Bibimbap and it was served in a hot stone bowl and was delicious. Kids had the kids hibachi meals, which were generous portions with rice and vegetables, plus soup or salad. Hubby had the sushi sashimi bento box, which was a ton of food, so I got to share some tempura(which explains the take home box of leftover bibimbap coming home with me). He says sushi was excellent. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful and quite unique with the coffee bar inside, but it was a beautiful day so we sat on the deck. Highly recommend!

Takoyaki– very greasy Hibachi combo — avg at best Sashimi was not generously sliced and didn’t seem fresh. Really didn’t care for this place. Non memorable food. It’s a cross between a coffee bar/lounge, sushi, teppanyaki and outdoor bar area. It’s not terrible but whoever owns this place needs a LOT of business with a space as large as this. Sorry but it’s a once and done kind of place

My Ramen was outstanding! They have a wide rolls selection followed by some interesting drink offers. I have been there twice and never leave without their specialty — Mochiato! Also, I love the work they put into decorating the place. I will definitely be back to try what else they have to offer, so far 10⁄10!
