Ate once at this location. It was decent. Waitress was not that friendly but free popcorn on the table was fun for my son. Can’t beat a thin crust cheese pizza. I remember eating at Twiggs at the old location across the lake as a kid and it was the best place in my opinion. I don’t know it they still toss peanuts on the floor, there weren’t any when I went earlier this year. Twiggs is worth a try!

Delicious pizza! Fun place to go, you can throw peanuts on the floor… Great place for families. Lots of little league teams go there bc they have arcade games. The bar is fun to sit at when there’s chicago sports playing. The pizza, again, is delish go out and get some.

Great thin crust pizza! Not much atmosphere. Too bad they lost their old location by the lake.

Amazing pizza! My family has been going here since we moved here.(Which was before the original location burned down). I have never had a bad experience with delivery or in-restaurant. Tastes really fresh, uses good ingredients, and the staff is always really nice. The pizza is always something I can look forward to whenever I come home from school.

We haven’t been here in quite a long time… mostly due to some hard times and not by lack of want. Love their pizza. Last night we had their chicken quesadillas and a side of onion rings. WOW! Their portion sizes were just right for us to share and the onion rings rocked — fresh, large and just the right amount of batter. Jerry and Liz are always so friendly making this a great local hangout. Hope to have a better year so we can come back more often.

They have good pizza but it smells very bad in the bar area. It just a real bad order. The chili is spicy and only average. They put a lot of vegetables on the pizza which is great. It is also a place where kids hang out in the seating area. It can get loud!

Jerry and Liz know what’s up! Unexpectedly good food, games for the kids, plenty of TVs and service is first class. The cracker crust pizza is their specialty. Weekday buffet is good, unadvertised specials are a treat and throw the peanut shells on the floor! Try the Italian Beef Sandwich with Au Jus on the side — then dip each bite… YUM! Can be noisy at times, especially during the dinner rush and in the summer when the kids play the arcade games. Bathrooms are clean but, the parking is only so — so in that there may be a problem finding a spot during heavy times.

Great people and service. The pizza and ribs are so good that I order about once a week. The weekday buffet is really good and priced at 7 bucks.

Ordered a thin crust pizza for take out. Lady at the cash register was very friendly and gave us coupons for next time. Unfortunately, there won’t be a next time. The pizza had hardly any sauce, very little cheese that was dry rather than gooey, and a tasteless, tough pizza crust. From the entryway it seemed like a nice family atmosphere though, with a bunch of games.

The prices are great for the large portions, the food is amazing, and the service is fast and friendly! Add to that live music on the weekends, with open mic Sundays and karaōke Wednesdays — what’s not to love? It’s also a good place for kids with the mini arcade up front, and they can throw peanut shells on the floor of the restaurant. Our nephews love coming here. Lots of tv’s to watch whichever Chicago teams are playing that day. And a patio and gazebo with outdoor seating, which, as a smoker, I much prefer over standing awkwardly in a parking lot. As for the food, my favs are: the JJ Spuds — whoever dreamed up cheezy garlic mashed potatoes, rolled up, breaded and fried? Genius! The bruschetta’s reeeally good. Love the Quesadillas, which aren’t on the regular menu, but are occasionally a special on the board. Their fries are great, very crispy! And their chicken fingers, with some buffalo sauce, and dip ‘em in ranch. My fiancé also loves their chicken salad and chicken sandwiches. Yes, we drive an hour up to Lake Zurich, cuz it’s THAT good.

Great place to grab some good food and beer. The chicken wings are some of the best I have ever had and the drinks are all affordable and there is always a good special at the bar. The owner is very nice and the wait staff friendly. By far my favorite place to grab a drink in Lake Zurich

i have been going to JJ Twiggs for 20 years. i miss the old location. Still love their thin crust pizza and double Decker. Cheddar nuggets appetizers are my favorite. Not a fan still of the new location but will do pick up or delivery. Just got the JJ Twiggs double Decker over the holiday, prices are creeping up but still worth it.

The thin-crust pizza here is great! We’ve done it all at JJ Twigs — dine-in, carry-out, and delivery. The dining-in experience is different from what we had expected. From the outside, you think you’ll be going into a semi-upscale pizza restaurant; however, once you get in, the décor and ambiance is much more casual. Regardless, the service and general experience were both great. Initially they bring a basket of peanuts and you can throw the shells on the floor. We ordered both a cheese and one with veggie toppings. It seems like a great place to bring a family and kids(we saw many kids here). As for the carry-out/delivery, JJ’s is our typical«go-to» place for a night we can’t decide on what to eat for dinner(or where to go). The thin-crust is great for carry-out. They are fast too; typically, you can put an order in and pick it up in 20 minutes and they deliver in 30 – 35 minutes.

Visited J.J. Twig’s with my good friend and had their soups at the bar. Both the cream of chicken and the jambalaya were amazing! I’m telling you that soup will never be the same after eating those two here. The owners are always working the bar which makes it very personal to have a drink knowing they really care. We also took home two pizzas which they purposely half cooked so we could heat them up at home. The pepperoni was the pizza I ate and would definitely recommend it to any pepperoni pizza lover. Not sure about the comments below, but this isn’t in Chicago and it’s not deep dish pizza. The service you get here I guarantee is better than that you would get in a Chicago pizza place. If something bothers you, the owners listen and make a difference. I only wish I lived closer to the restaurant.

Seriously decent thin crust pizza. Also: basket of shelled peanuts while you wait! You can throw your shells on the floor! Kids love this feature. Always a good family outing.

We have been going here for quite some time. My wife and I agree that twigs has the best thin crust pizza in the northwest suburbs. I think its because twigs has a good combination of quality crust, good sauce and a nice variety of ingredients. If you’re not into pizza on a given night, their sandwiches are also very good, and peanuts are available to snack on at each table. The location itself is next to a minigolf course, includes retro arcade games and has nice bar with big screen TVs. Overall, it’s a great place to bring your family or friends to.

As soon as the appetizer hit the table, we knew we were in trouble. It had that ‘Wal-Mart’ breading on it, and you can bet it tasted just like the other apps with different names but the same overabundant and flavorless coating. That said, the hostess was engaging and enthusiastic, and our server was good. Still, whoever compared the pizza to ‘ketchup & crackers’ must’ve really been pissed off at ketchup and crackers.

I’ve been going to JJ Twigs for years. Originally located across from the Lake on Rte 22, and second location in Palatine, 3rd in Wauconda. When you eat there, you get the basket of peanuts to throw the shells on the floor… gotta love a place where you throw peanut shells on the floor. No, for real, I love their double decker pizza. And they have a fantastic taco pizza. Get some sour cream and lettuce and must say its delish.
