Ameri-Kim Soft Water

We had hard water and iron/​sulfur issues (well water) in Kildeer. Had called around. Received a very high estimate from a well known competitor. But Ameri-​Kim was great. Good service and pricing. Had the issue resolved very quickly Felt like I was getting honest treatment and would highly recommend.

I spent the last 6 months researching the best solution for my water filtration needs. From in-​home consultations to on-​line calls, I spoke to more than a dozen people.
My decision was easy once I had Dave from Ameri-​Kim come out. He is extremely knowledgeable about the water in the area and knows the best way to treat it. No pressure sales, doesn’t waste your time with a long-​winded presentation and provides you with options.
We are on a well with some iron, sulfur (egg smell) and the occasional red/​gray sediment. Even though our softener did a great job with softening the hard water, it did little for our other issues.
The installation of my system took about 2 hrs without any issues. Within an hr after the install, we noticed that our water situation drastically improved.
1) No need for well shocking (chlorination)
2) No need for a filter change (back washes automatically)
3) No chemicals or anything to add
Here is the best part… he is the most reasonably priced water conditioning/​filtration provider that I had out. Get quotes from others first and call Dave last. You will see that he won’t oversell you on things that you do not need.

I have A LOT of iron in my water and without a running water softener it is miserable. So the fact that Ameri-​Kim responds immediately when they are needed and stands behind their products is fantastic. Excellent company, reliable, and upstanding. They have installed a water purification system for drinking water which works great (such a difference in water taste) and serviced my water softener over the years. I was having trouble with a water treatment unit at my house in Long Grove that used bleach to treat the sulfur smell that naturally occurs in the water. Our water smelled like bleach for 2 days a week was fine for 3 days then smelled like sulfur until the unit regenerated at the end of the week.
A neighbor said he had gone through the same thing used a bunch of companies and all sorts of equipment until he called America-​Kim. So I called them up.
Dave, the owner came to my house. He first listened to me and my issues (I wasn’t pumped about smelling bleach when I drew a bath for my young kids). He recommended a system that didn’t use chemicals to treat the smell. Said he’s installed tons of them and only one complaint. Offered me some kind of trial period if I wasn’t convinced.
Since the installation for a very reasonable price, we have had ZERO issues with water smell, and I don’t have to dump bleach into my system weekly.
Small company. Mom and pop type place. Professional. Clean. Easy to reach. Responsive. Great experience.
