The Great Frame Up

The staff member took a lot of time with me to make sure that I was satisfied with the framing options (glass, matting, etc). The turn-​around time was as expected and I was willing to pay the price for a job well done. For important documents and artwork, it is worth visiting a professional and thorough frame shop like this one!

I’m telling you, I was framed!
You can frame anything if you want, and this place will do it for you.
I had a 48 star flag that I wanted to frame. I wanted to make something that was really cool looking and had a theme. I love the Arts and Crafts era so I built a frame out of quarter sawn oak and used a through tenon (see my photo).
The store isn’t the biggest but the frame selections are nearly endless. As I entered the store I was complimented on my frame that that they would like to have a frame to offer like the one I built but they only create mitered frames.
We looked around until they finished with another couple. This gave us time to take photos and see other items that people frame.
We sat down at a large counter and laid the frame down with the flag. We started looking for matting which is harder than you would think. We couldn’t quite decide what we wanted but they had these cool corner pieces of matting that you could lay inside the frame and see what it will look like. After looking at our choices we then had to choose the glass. We went with a non glare museum glass which was pretty amazing when you look at it. You can’t even see the glass. All you see is your art.
The staff was very helpful and patient while we had to make our choices. They say that the flag will be ready in a couple of weeks so I will add a photos of the finished product.
