Doc, in the nursery, is awesome! Spent time educating my father and I about how to care for our hydrangeas. Recommended the right products and the flowers are doing very well. This HD has by far the best flower selection and the plants purchased here always do well. Only complaint is the cashier was a bit stingy on the plastic liners for your car. I’m spending over $ 100 in plants, I should not have to argue if I need an extra liner or two. Otherwise, wonderful experience each time.

Home Depot itself is fine. You can find just about anything you need here. Except for an employee. It’s like Where’s Waldo in there. Ive been here 3 times in the past week for hardware, etc. and it took me at least 15 – 20 minutes each visit just to find an employee to assist me. When I did manage to find help, each person seemed strung out and eager to run off to the next thing(due to summons on the overhead speakers). This store is clearly understaffed and they seem to run those poor people ragged. If you are looking for assistance in the paint department, you are in luck. There is always someone there, maybe due to a hidden ball and chain system, but any other department-good luck finding signs of life.

Just wanted to give a shout out to «Doc»(I think his name is Tom) who works in the Garden Center at Home Depot Lake Zurich. He really knows his stuff, and ALWAYS gives us great advice when we come in with gardening or landscaping questions or concerns. 5 stars for service, and 5 stars for his product knowledge! Thanks for all your help, Doc!

Just spent thousands on carpet from Sharon and appliances from Bob. This is a great Home Depot that has associates that know what they are talking about and don’t mind spending the time to help. Everything went smooth as silk, could not be happier!

You can build a home You can literally build a house and supply it with everything that you would need from this place. Now a days everyone wants a one stop shop. I know that there are many people out there that are against these types of places but they have a place in todays market. This store has everything you could possibly need for your home. They sell pretty good quality lumber for all types of home projects. You can pick up cedar for decks or fences, crown and case molding for trimming out a room, shelving for closets, tiles for a bathroom or kitchen, indoor and outdoor lighting, paints, stains, kitchen appliances, plants, flowers, vegetables, tools, hardware and so much more to even possibly mention. I prefer this store over most other one stop home building stores because I feel that they have a better quality product not to mention that the staff is always friendly and very helpful. This is just my opinion.

very poor door installation. I bought a garage entry door in the Lake Zurich store and had their«best» installer install it. It was about $ 700 to install this door, and the hardware did NOT line up, the deadbolt doesn’t turn without lots of jiggling, and they splintered the frame. several months later i called back(the splintered frame was becoming dangerous and it was getting harder to lock the door) and spoke to the window & door manager on 3 diff calls over 3 weeks before i could get someone to call me back and make an appt to come fix their mess.

This in my favorite Home Depot. We were looking for a specific wire and it needed to be cut by a employee. The nicest sales lady was right there to help us. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The store is always clean for HD standards and they have everything that we need. Another plus is they are not in Cook county so the sales tax is less!
