Touch of Sweets Bakery did my cake for my wedding. Irene was amazing. She was direct, communicative, and efficient. She took time to meet with us on a Sunday, and stayed late after the bakery closed to help us achieve our dream wedding cake. 5 Stars, for sure.

Great customer service, hidden gem that I wish I knew about sooner. Ended up staying for a chat and bought some coffee beans that are in the corner of the store

Irene is wonderful! The care with which she prepares her fresh from scratch sweet treats is unparalleled. I especially recommend the lemon bars.

I discovered Touch of Sweets Bakery years ago and keep going back and recommending to friends. They never disappoint! From ordering birthday cakes to catering for out of town company, I know I am going to get great food. Not to mention how nice and welcoming the owner is.

Touch of Sweets worked with me long distance over email to design my wedding cake. They did a fantastic job. The price and the customer service was the best I could find in a 20 mile radius. Highly recommend. See picture

Have purchased three cakes all custom. One fish cake lite my sons favorite stuffed animal, one bustier cake and one fun first birthday Elmo cake. All cakes were Georgia and just like the pictures we showed Irene. But equally important is the taste of the cakes and we were not disappointed. Stay local and support this talented and delicious bakery!

Tried it for the first time yesterday. Got the lemon cake. Sat outside with my husband to eat the piece we were sharing, and we saw a small hair on the frosting that’s on the box but separate from the cake. We moved the frosting gob with hair in it aside and then decided we’d still eat the cake, but then after a few bites we found another hair in the cake. So we tossed it and let the owner know. She offered to replace it and did seem concerned, but this was the last time we’ll be going to Touch of Sweets.

I will never go anywhere else again when I need a cake! Irene has designed beautiful cakes for multiple events I’ve had. I’m always impressed. And I also love that the buttercream isn’t so heavy and sickly sweet like most bakery’s make it. I highly recommend!

Do Unilocalers like this place because they have the same color scheme as Unilocal or what? I came in for lunch. Had a nice first impression; place is cute & looked clean. Food seems homemade & baked fresh. I saw cookies & cakes & pierogis in a dish behind the window at the counter. I asked the employee(who didn’t smile once or seem friendly) what kind of pierogis they were & ordered TWO of each. He didn’t say anything, just proceeded to scoop them onto a dish. I also ordered a cup of soup to go with the pierogis. While I’m waiting, I notice cider is on the menu & I get excited because I’ve been searching for hot cider lately & Starbucks is the only place that comes close to having it. After a good 7 minutes or more of waiting, the employee brings my dish of hot food out from behind the counter & places it onto a table after asking which one I’d like to sit at. I notice there are SIX pierogis(did he hear me?) & wonder if I’m supposed to pay after I eat. I walk over to the cash register & he tells me I owe $ 10. WTF. I planned on spending like $ 7 tops, which is why I only ordered FOUR pierogis, not SIX and a cup of soup, not a bowl. The pierogis alone cost like $ 7. Um, no thanks. Yeah, maybe they’re homemade, but too expensive for me. This isn’t a fancy place; it’s in a strip mall. Maybe I’m overreacting? Sometimes I’m kinda cheap, but I got billz & student loanz to pay! I also noticed there was no price tag on the pierogis behind the glass counter, but all the other food items had prices. I mentioned that to the employee as well as the fact that I only ordered four pierogis. He replied that they only sell them by the dozen or half dozen; should have told me that when I ordered them! I should have asked about the price before ordering them, I guess. I then asked for a cup of cider & the guy tells me that it was seasonal, they no longer have it & forgot to take if off the menu. Great, thanks for the tease. Oh, and they charge $ 0.65 if you try using a card for a purchase under $ 3 or $ 4; can’t remember. Have to admit the homemade creamy sausage soup was good. There were big slices of sausage in it. I would go back for the soup. Place gets two stars for the fact that(I think) most of the food is homemade & because the place seems clean & cute. Lack of customer service, fair pricing & advance warning receives lack of the other three stars.

Did not realise this place did lunch. Had the lunch special(cup of soup or salad and ½ sandwich and a treat) Ingredients were really fresh and tasty, soup was great and not loaded up with sodium. The décor is really nice and clean and the pastries and cakes and tarts on display were mouth watering. Friendly staff too. Overall a great little place to come for lunch or perhaps a coffee and danish.

I live in California and I was trying to send a cake to a friend who lives in Lake Zurich. After mishaps, various calls and a lot of headache with other places, I called Touch of Sweets and quickly realized I should have gone with them in the first place! They were so friendly and helpful, giving me suggestions for the cake’s flavors and frosting as best as they could over the phone and 2,000 miles away. They even managed to give me a quick turnaround for delivery, far better than anyone else I had talked to. And my friend LOVED her cake. Loved the way it was decorated and thought it tasted amazing. She shared it when friends and family and they’ve been singing its praises. It was absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be happier.

Since I’m gluten free, I couldn’t really eat here. However, my relatives greatly appreciated anything I picked up for them. Their pastries are always a big hit. I get lattes when I stop in, and they are delicious! Their coffee itself is great, and I’ve bought it whole bean before as well. They roast their own coffee beans and the staff are great baristas! If I could eat gluten, I would be here for lunch, dinner, and dessert!
