Walmart Supercenter

As far as Walmarts go, this one is great. It is cleaner and better organized than all the others in the area. The shelves are stocked, and the employees are friendly. I haven’t had issues with customer service that other reviewers mentioned. I forgot the ad I wanted to use for price matching, and they just took my word for it. I asked where lemon juice was, and an employee walked me all the way there without hesitation.

I have held back on writing this review because I wrote multiple letters to Walmart and store management addressing the issues. However, neither Walmart nor store management ever got back to me nor have the fixed the issues. Okay, where do I start.
First, watch the prices that come up on the register very closely. Almost every time I go there, I have at least 1 item that is scans for more than it was marked. And, I always tell customer service about the issue, but months later, it is still not corrected. I have resorted to taking pictures of items and showing them to the cashier.

Went there on Black Friday and for the entire store they had one line open !!! Complained to an employee and she said, «we don’t have any people available! l»
Come on Walmart, we know you set the bar for poor service but this is an all time low!

Talk about crappy, I already dislike Walmart but this one takes the cake. It’s as if no one there has any idea how to please a customer. I had a friend buy a pitcher for a dinner party and she didn’t know which one to buy (and some reason chose Walmart to buy it) so she bought a few (on my cc’d). Not a big deal, except I live in Chicago where there aren’t any Wal-​marts. So I ended up at a Walmart with the pitchers in my car, tags on, and a photo of my receipt. I figured that all other stores like Target and Michael’s can look up a transaction, do a return, and if needed reprint a receipt if you have the reciept barcode or numbers or even just the CC’d used for the transaction. Apparently with all the money and technology Wal-​Mart has they have no way to do a return without the physical paper reciept, which I have 45minutes away at my apt. I understand rules, and I get needing a reciept, but seriously if Target can do it, Wal-​Mart certainly can too. The girl checking me out was like «no we can’t do that, no we can’t do that either, no we don’t look up credit cards…» I think she was just glad to get rid of a customer more than actually helping me out, calling over someone who might be able to do more, or show me any proof they need a physical copy of the receipt.
But I should have known better, when I walked up an angry lady was cussing out Wal-​Mart corporate on a store phone with 5 teenagers (running customer service), sat around her clueless. They looked like stunned deer in headlights.
Just another reason I can’t stand Wal-​Mart, and never buy from them. I just couldn’t stop my friend, she was convinced that it was closest to our dinner party.

Walmart does everything they can to make your shopping experience of displeasure. The Lake Zürich Walmart was good it’s declining very quickly I came to pick up a prescription that was supposed to be ready hours ago. This will be the third time I get in line to see if it’s ready yet.
You’re lucky if you can get one cart through the isles here they have them so jammed with pallets.
The only reason I continue to use Walmart is my prescriptions have to be filled here or it’s considered out of network.
Otherwise I truly believe I would not come here.

Worst store ever! Employees know nothing and can answer no questions. I waited in line for 15 minutes with 1 customer in front of me. It’s like this every time I go. Also, they never have stocked shelves so you end up going other places because they don’t have what you need. Also, their food is expired. Seriously save yourself time and money (because items go bad quickly there). It’s aggravating going in that store. If you are in a rush this is not the store for you. Expect to wait a minimum 15 minutes in line (on a good day) I have waited longer

The employees are the worst ever! God forbid you ask them a question or ask them to assist you in finding something they will look at you like you’re speaking a foreign language. I found someone’s keys that they dropped on the ground and I gave them to one of the cashiers to put in the lost and found she proceeded to ask my I was giving them to her… Really?! Oh and the cherry on top… Fell on ice in their parking lot and now my knee is in a lot of pain. Horrible! Don’t waste your time or money.

Could have wider aisles. The prices are great for the product selection. I would like to see more low fat cheese choices.

I was so glad that they converted this to the Super Walmart with more groceries & produce. Can’t beat the great prices.
My only complaint is that some or most of the toiletries /​make up sections have a floor plan that is not set up well.
