Derringer Firearms

First off the initial purchase was a positive experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. The prices are good and the store is well stocked. However I had a problem with one of the firearms that I purchased. I viewed several AK’s and variants and after settling on a price for a lot of three firearms made my choice. The problem was the rifle they gave me was not the one I inspected. After cleaning it I discovered a canted gas block and slightly bent barrel. Called back to let them know and see what they could do and the man on the phone stated my only option was to sent it to the manufacturer. Come on this is not the way to treat a someone who just bought three guns from you and would have been back for years. Now I will go elsewhere. Maybe it is my fault for not doing a final inspection before completing the transaction, but I still expect better.

Go anywhere but here. Staff is rude as can be, the older staff is especially disrespectful. Might be worth it if their guns were reliable, but no.

The Customer Service here was excellent. A young man and a lady both helped me in picking out my first firearm. They were very knowledgeable and patient while answering my questions. There was no high pressure just a sincere attitude to help me select a gun that I felt comfortable with. After my purchase I returned two days later to ask for some guidance in helping me with the slide. The lady was helpful again. I definitely would recommend Derringer Firearms, especially for a female looking for their first firearm. In addition, the two ladies who assisted with the background check and payment processing were quick in processing the transaction. My purchase was a Ruger, lc9s, 9 mm, raspberry in color.

My wife and I are newbies to the firearm scene. We purchased our first gun at Derringer a few months ago, and then returned to purchase a second gun a few weeks ago. We attended their Carry Permit Class this past weekend. In all of this, the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. The owner, Dan, taught most of the permit class and i was very impressed with his concern for safety and thinking smart through scenarios — vs — wanting to grab your gun at any and every sign of trouble.
These folks are professional, led by an owner who has decades of experience (heard his story in the permit class). And their prices are very competitive. They will definitely be our first choice for all things related to firearms.

I stumbled upon this business at a gun show a few years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. I have bought guns at several other local shops over the years and have found places like Shoot Straight are very overpriced compared to Derringer. While Derringer has not always had what I wanted in stock, they have always ordered what I wanted, even going as far as to start a brand new account with Spike’s tactical to get me the rifle that I wanted. Derringer has always been fair on trade in pricing and worked with me on guns even when it was a factory defect. I would definitely recommend checking this store out prior to purchasing a firearm.

Nice «mom & pop» type store. Decent size, nice selection for the size of he place. Cash discount on guns. The hot blonde sale clerk guy that works there is very knowledgeable and has a great attitude. Would recommend checking the place out. Limited Saturday hours and closed on Sundays though.
