My husband and I went to Fresco’s for dinner on a date night. It was around 6:30 pm and the place was almost full. We haven’t been to Fresco’s in years(we moved out of state) so we wanted to give it a go. The food was pretty good still. Our waiter was very nice. He apologized in advanced that they were short staffed(staff had called in) so it may be a little hectic. We appreciated that. The beverage selection was great. We ordered our food and the salads came out timely. Fresco’s has a nice selection of salad dressings that aren’t just your ‘ranch, bleu cheese, etc.’ I had a champagne vinaigrette. I ordered the bacon wrapped filet, medium. It came out just as requested. It could have used a tad more seasoning. It was accompanied with goat cheese mashed potatoes. Again, they were hot and once I added some salt and pepper they were great. The broccolini was well broccolini. Delicious and not over-cooked. We had salted caramel cheesecake that wash phenomenal. I believe they make it in house. There is a great selection of deserts and you can see them in their case. I gave my experience 4 out of 5 stars just because the food could use a little more seasoning. I hate asking for salt and pepper(it wasn’t on the table) to season food that should already be seasoned. But it’s not a deal breaker!

Had brunch this morning and everything was wonderful! Our server was attentive and the food was delicious. If you are going to have more than 1 mimosa, I suggest doing the bottomless mimosas as it is $ 6 per mimosa or $ 12 for bottomless!

Terrible service… asked for more coffee and never got it, waitress was rude. French toast was not cooked, even after sending it back it was still soggy. We will never go back to this restaurant. There are less expensive restaurants near by with much better food and service.

Great food, but I’m dinging them for their«hours.» Seems they stop serving food an hour before closing time. So, when they say they’re open until 3 pm on Sunday, that really means 2 pm if you’re hungry.

Tried again. *sigh* My father in-law wanted to go for his Bday. I cringed but smiled, hoping my first experience was a fluke. I ordered the Chicken Risotto. It definitely came out of a box(and if it didn’t they need to fire the guy in charge of stirring the pot). The soup of the day, bean n’ ham, was craaaazy salty. My husband ordered the margarita pizza. Half of it is still in the fridge.. It’s been a week. Clearly not his favorite meal. Sis in-law got the shrimp pasta in red sauce. Shrimp good, pasta over cooked. So very very far from al dente. Niece ordered the Hanger steak, she said it was super chewy… but shes 6yrs old. So, take that as you will. Btw: the ‘flat breads’ are actually pizza. My husband, father in-law, and bro in-law all ordered ‘flat breads’. There was a collective ‘oh’ when they arrived. I’m glad both sides of my family know that Frescos food is not good. Now i don’t have to go back.

I decided to give some time between reviews for this establishment and I’m sad to say that things have not improved. I ordered a Sun Dried Tomato Goat Cheese Chicken Sandwich. It sounded like a really delicious option, so I went for it. The dish comes with a pickle and choice of a side; I chose pasta salad. My meal came out with potato salad instead of pasta salad, which was a bummer, but that was far from being the worst part of the experience. The hero of the dish, the chicken, was dry and tasteless(it was probably frozen). The tomatoes were freshly sliced and not sun dried(false advertising?). The goat cheese was ok, nothing that wowed me. Sadly, most of the flavor came from the brioche buns that held everything together. It’s kind of insulting the intelligence of the customer when you advertise sun dried tomato and you don’t serve sun dried tomato! It’s also negligent to serve a sandwich where most of the flavor comes from the bun instead of what’s on the bun. The one star rating is because a zero star rating wasn’t possible. Fresco’s has spent a lot of money on expanding their space and décor when they should have been focusing on creating a solid quality menu. You can easily sum up Fresco’s in this phrase: over-priced and underwhelming.

Wife and I went here on First Friday in Nov. Last time we were here was probably a year ago. At that time it was rather cramped space. Tables were very cloce, little room to walk and with live music it was just too close. When we walked in on Friday we were surprised at all the room. Large bar, numerous tables and lots of room. We sat at the bar and shared an antipasti and chicken risotto with a couple of cocktails. The antipasto was very flavorful. The balsamic was really good. It was a generous portion and we both enjoyed. The chicken risotto was excellent. Presentation was good. We met one of the owners and she was very nice. They have a speakeasy downstairs used for special functions. My only concern was the bartender that served us. My wifes glass sat empty and he never asked if she wanted another and just didn’t feel that he was providing the best service. We will make every effort to return to Frescos and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

We hosted my bridal shower at Fresco’s. The staff were awesome– especially Bruce and Winnie. They helped up set up the stuff we brought and provided matching linens to our theme(Tiffany & Co.) The buffet they set up was more than enough to feed the group that attended. We had chosen one of their shower packages. The food choices we were provided were more than adequate and were varied enough for all the people to have different choices. The food was also very good. If I ever need to host another event I would definitely recommend Fresco’s.

The food was just good(by the time we got it) but the service was terrible. We waited30 minutes just to be served an then another 10 minutes because we ask a question regarding the way something was cook, and the waiter had to ask the kitchen, 40 minutes gone and we r just ordering. Another 25 minutes until food came. Not sure what our waiters problem was but we will never return, the food was good but there are many other places to eat that serve better food and your treated with respect and value. The manager or maybe the owner was pasted our table several times and never apologized for wait. Other customers orders were placed and were informed after half the tables Order was brought to the table that they ran out one order. So all of that group eat minus one, until they made the new plate. Terrible service, there’s no excuse for the type of service to be given to any customers. I we be traveling into town twice a month, I’ll go someplace that value me and my family as customers.

Took family from out of town to Fresco’s Sunday brunch and it was a very unpleasant experience. Which was a shame because I have heard so many good things about the restaurant. The drinks were horrible. I am not sure the bartender knew what he was doing and they charged a $ 1 for olives in a bloody marry. I know it is just a dollar but that is not the point. We ordered the French dip and they came back to tell us they were out, we ordered the lobster and crab Benedict and they were out, so finally we ordered our food and my cousins eggs Benedict came out cold, my chicken buffalo wrap was very bland. So the drinks sucked, they didn’t have what we wanted and the food sucked. Very disappointed. Will not be going there again.

We had Sunday brunch here with some friends and we enjoyed ourselves so much! They had live classical acoustic guitar playing in one room and a great brunch selection. The omelettes are delicious as are the bottomless mimosas. The price is right and service is prompt. It was not«fancy», but even before the Sunday church crowd rolled in it was busy! Always a good sign! Would recommend for a quick brunch spot

Some of the Food was undercooked or bland. Sea bass was good and the pork skewers appetizer was delicious. Overpriced meals.

Went for brunch. The good and the bad: The Good: very cute restaurant and pretty old bar set up. The food was REALLY yummy! I had the Ranchero bowl and it was fantastic. Good marks on Quiche and Omelet as well as Southwestern wrap. The Bad: our server was inattentive at best. Ordered Cappuccinos at the same time as brunch and did not come until about 5minutes after we got food, even asked twice– the place was busy, but I didn’t see that the barista was backed up. When we got them they were cold, watery and awful. The toast that came with the omelette wasn’t even toasted it was just bread. She brought new toast. No one drank any of the cappuccino yes they were on each of our bills. I said they were cold when they arrived and can you please remove form my check. She did, but the other 3 checks still had them on it(we asked for separate checks). It was CLEAR no one touched the cappuccinos. I thought that was INCREDIBLY rude so when she came back I said I thought you would take the cappuccinos off each check as they all were cold. She did, but ridiculous I had to ask. The food was really good, but I wouldn’t go back.

We had a couple of issues when we came here and I wasn’t all that impressed which is why I gave them two stars. I feel like this place is overpriced because it’s not Chili’s and it’s in Lakeland. It’s overpriced and you don’t really get what you paid for. We had the eggrolls for an appetizer and that was the best part of the meal those were actually quite nice. Then I got the fig flatbread. First off let me say that this is more of a pizza than a flat bread so if you’re expecting a thin crust flatbread you’re not gonna get that you’re going to get a pizza. My next issue was that it says it has fig as well as goat cheese on it. I go to the regular basis there was not go cheese on that pizza. There was feta cheese and apparently that substitutes for goat cheese. Also there was no fig to be found Here’s my final issue with this whole situation I let the lady know that I didn’t get goat cheese but that my food came with feta cheese I didn’t ask for anything no big deal. She came back with a check instead I’m going to go ahead and take off 20% of your check for the inconvenience which was nice. However, they have a happy hour that states before 630 you get 20% off of your check. Now we didn’t check out until seven however everything we ordered was prior to 630 so in my opinion we deserve to get that discount. Pretty much the waitress gave me the happy hour price when I should’ve gotten a happy hour price. All in all it wasn’t a great experience and I won’t personally be back to dine.

Fresco’s is wonderful! They are so unique and special. When you walk inside you feel like you have walked out of town into another place. The atmosphere really helps you step off your life and into a great spot. I’ve been here quite a bit and love to recommend it to out of town folks. It has a nice vibe, you can hang out and relax. The bar is great also! The bakery items are delish! One suggestion to the owner, I recommended to an out of town couple to go and the next day they told me they drove by but it was closed. You weren’t closed, but the outside is dark. I like you can’t really see in but the front is very dim. Maybe put up some led white lights or something. I’m sure you are so busy inside make yummy food you haven’t the time to see how dark it is, but that is the 2nd time someone I know thought you were closed and didn’t stop. Maybe you should look at that. Otherwise, this place is so great! Go! Go! Go!

GREATDRINKS!!! Food was good, they have a unique menu in my opinion. Their appetizers are my favorite. I could eat their duck wraps all day long. I am a big fan of duck! Nice staff, ambiance is great! I thought the lamb was great!

If I could rate this place on the drinks alone, I would give it a 5. The mixed drink selection and the quality of the drinks themselves are amazing. If you are one to appreciate«mixology skills,» this place is for you. The food, however, is another story. I’ve been here three times, and each time the desserts have been stale and lacking flavor. I’ve had a few appetizers and main dishes here, which were all just ok — but nothing worth a visit. In short, skip the food and go to the bar!

I had bookmarked Fresco’s ahead of time in planning to dine here for dinner, but alas it didn’t work out. Instead though, I stopped in for a snack… the sweet kind!!! Oh, they all looked so yummy. An entire showcase of sweet goodies. Which one? Hmmm? Flourless Chocolate Torte of course! It was delightful in every way. Not too sweet but very smooth that just rolled off your tongue and slipped down your throat. The sweet came at the end with a small decorative iced rose that left your taste buds singing. I can’t wait to go back again but next time it will definitely be for that duck supper. Major props to the female cashier/server and the cook(Jeff? Heff?) for being such sweethearts. Not great. There are way better options for lunch in Lakeland. I tried the buffalo chicken wrap.
