We were in Lakeland for little ones Jiu Jitsu comp and I found this place on Unilocal. It was clearly a neighborhood favorite. It’s like a little old IceCream shack. Not a ton of space inside or out and a little disorienting as there are folks yelling orders back and forth through a little window area. I wish I would have stepped back and waited a minute because right under the window, on a blackboard above the kitchen area are specials. And they looked good! I will say of the subs we ordered, the Italian was the best. Really great, classic sub. Also way huge. We will most certainly come back when in Lakeland

Just moved to lakeland not to long ago and stumbled across this place ’ ended up talking to Dean and found out he’s from my parents hometown of Allentown PA, in Allentown we grew up eating at a hotdog place called Yacoos that was founded in I believe 1926 ! If your from the area or have ever eaten the famous Yacoos hot dog I recommend you try the chili dog at subs and stuff because it’s like eating a Yacoos on steroids!

I’m love the dean special so much! these sandwiches are the only ones that come even close to beating a publix sub. the unique Italian pepper mix is so delicious! the bread is amazingly soft and the veggies are fresh! the meat to bread ratio is perfect! highly recommend this Lakeland institution!

Sub’s n’ Such serves some of the best sandwiches in Lakeland and I usually order the Dean Garlic Special. This sandwich is basically a ham sandwich filled with provolone cheese, tomatoes, and a mixture of raw garlic, oil, and spices. The sandwich is fantastic! Not only is the ham delicious, the veggies fresh, and the bread soft, but the mixture of raw garlic, oil, and spices is full of unique and amazing flavor that compliments the sandwich perfectly.

Super friendly, family owned restaurant that continues to be one of my favorite lunch spots. Good sandwiches, a few unique menu items and a great Antipasto salad

I had the Dean Special and it had the right bread to meat ratio. The toppings where fresh and the garlic flavor complimented the sandwich. I will try this place again

Thanks to Unilocal for having stumbled upon this gem. Little did I know that Subs n such is a true Lakeland institution that has been around for 38 years. Also upon a revered review, I ordered the Dean special before realizing the kind man who greeted me was the owner whose sandwich is his namesake. The garlic/pepper blend and oil on the sammy was out of this world! To top off the experience, Dean gave me a free drink for stopping in my first time. I’ll definitely be back. And soon!

Cute little spot that is worth trying. The only reason why it doesn’t have 5stars is because I saw too many people back there handling food without hairnets lol the Cuban is delish and good prices

One of the best local sub shops around. Their bacon egg & cheese on a Cresent roll for breakfast is amazing. Any one of their many subs are all great. My favorite is the club. They always stuff their subs to the point of items falling out. Their soups are worth trying also. Ive been going their for years and never been let down.

This place is not only good the service great. I have been going here since a kid. I hate that the hours are banking hours when open. I went there Saturday for lunch. The ladies working we’re happy to serve us. And the sub was made nice and neat. And the taste was great. When you go there, you need to try your sandwich. with peppers and oil & vinegar. There oil & vinegar has a taste of its own.

I just came here from south Florida and this is a great local sub shop that you must visit. The food is great(I’m not sure about breakfast but the sandwiches r delicious) and the service is bright and friendly. There is a decent sized menu as well. I’ll definitely be coming here more than once before I leave

Great Cubans. Other subs look amazing and awesome shakes! Forget about the other crappy chains and support the local family run busineses. Wish they were open on Sundays!

My first impression was wow, very fresh bread ! I ordered the turkey sub with same add ons as I do at Sub Way. No comparison! This place beat them hands down. Small place but the great food and service made it better choice. BTW, dudes at the bike shop just down the street suggested the place so stop by «Bents Bike Shop» and look over their bike extras… lots of goodies! Oh, one more thingy, while I was waiting for my order, a guy comes in and said the had to stop in to get his own sub since they had catered his work place last week.

Subs ‘n Such is a Lakeland institution, having been established in 1977. The menu features submarine sandwiches, but don’t hesitate to try the generously-sized salads, the burgers, and the other wonderful fresh food. The atmosphere is casual and the service is consistently friendly. Cash or checks are accepted.
