Very friendly greeting and service throughout. We have visits from all of the wait staff at some point during our meal. The Mrs & I are carnivores, so we always try the meat offerings. We tried the brisket plate and a pulled pork quesadilla. Wow, were we impressed! Possible the best brisket I have ever had! A little fatty, but that is where the flavor and moisture comes from. The rub is outstanding, and the beef is very rich and rewarding. The quesadilla was excellent too. The pulled pork was moist and tender, but it seems that they do not rub their shoulders, or use a very mild spice mix. With the cheese and pico, it was very, very good. The portions are great and prices very reasonable. We did not like the mac& cheese, and will try the cole slaw next time. Corn bread was awesome too. More like cake, soft and moist. Its a great place to stop when you are visiting Letchworth Park. It was definitely worth the drive. We may take our order to go next time as the parking is a challenge and the place was really hot on a sunny day, as there are great big windows. Go, you will not be disappointed.

We visited the Three Legged Pig in Livonia, NY near Conesus Lake. This is s lovely, smaller sized restaurant offering BBQ, which is a great option to have in a town of this size. We arrived before rush hour about 4:30pm and were greeted immediately by friendly service. In fact, all of the servers that engaged us were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our experience. They are courteous, knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the fact they interacted with us discussing options. The atmosphere was enjoyable too. Relaxed, upbeat, the décor was attractive and appropriate for a BBQ restaurant. We asked to be seated on the patio as it was a warm summer day with a nice breeze. The view of the intersection wasn’t exciting and we talked about how nice it would be if the restaurant was located on the lake. The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. Some BBQ restaurants let the cleanliness deteriorate in an attempt to achieve an aged BBQ ambiance, which can be unfortunate. The selection of BBQ food is excellent whether you like Ribs, Pork, Chicken, Brisket, Sausage, friend foods and soda beverages. I ordered a Rib/Pulled Pork combo and my Wife Brisket with several sides. The food presents well and tastes very good. My pulled pork was over saturated with water and the Ribs were a little under cooked. The side dishes tasted home made and a bit conservative in flavor. The sauces were respectable as well in terms of options and taste. Overall, the quality of food was good as was the value in prices for what you receive. So many positives made this experience good for us, especially the great friendly service, cleanliness and atmosphere. The areas that could be improved include researching how to take the food to the next level in terms of quality and taste. Given the size of the business, we can see how seating and parking can be a problem when the restaurant is busy so the location could be improved as well. Given the choice to go to 3 legged pig or Dinosaur BBQ, We’d go to the Dinosaur as they offer more flavorful, authentic tasting BBQ, atmosphere and experience.

Always delicious! I love how they don’t put sauce on their meats so you can choose whatever flavor you like! So cool to see the 3 legged pig go from a roadside stand to a awesome restaurant!

The need for their beef brisket is now weekly. They have great food, a cozy place, and cold local beer on tap. The sides are just plain awesome but you can’t eat them– No room left. At least, not after you’ve placed one of their main dishes into your face.

I’m from South Carolina, and this BBQ is exactly what I was looking for in NY! Although the meat is kept hot, it’s by far the best BBQ in the Rochester area, and yes I’ve tried them all!

Very subpar bbq joint. I guess if you live in the area and that’s the only bbq you know then yah it’s probably decent. I’ve tried this place a few times and have not enjoyed it yet. My wife liked her brisket though, this time I had the sausage.

This is currently my favorite BBQ in the general area including such places as Dinosaur & Sticky Lips. The building is great and cozy. The servers are always friendly and quick. The pulled pork is fantastic. I like the brisket when it’s on the leaner side which is hit or miss. My favorite is the pulled chicken actually. I’ve had all the sides I believe and they never disappoint. I’ve only had 1 bad experience in the last several years. My ONLY complaint is I hate the parking lot here but given the location there isn’t much that could be done better.

Best BBQ in Upstate NY. #1 Brisket. #1 Ribs. Excellent sides(but I can not recommend the Mac & cheese); Very inexpensive beer. Well worth the drive. Have had their catered food at work and it was excellent.

We had a party and needed a little catering. We ordered the pulled pork and brisket. It came with 5 different sauces and dinner rolls. It was very good. The brisket was melt in your mouth. We’ll be going back when we have time for dinner.

I’ve been here a few times before but never rated 3 Legged Pig. This place had awesome BBQ! I had the brisket and pulled pork. Everything was amazing and the brisket was so tender, melt in your mouth fantastic! Pulled pork was moist and flavorful. I added a little bit of their sauces they offer and they were very good as well! This trip was the only time wait staff was slow. We sat and the waitress took our drink order and vanished… Well we was right there behind the bar but 2 other tables were seated and given drinks before we ended up asking for themand they came through the door after we gave our orders. I think she was preoccupied this time, it happens. We will go back of course! Highly recommend!

The first time I came here I was beyond hateful that I didn’t get the beef brisket, there were some seriously negative emotions towards the pulled pork despite the fact that it was pretty good. But damn, the beef brisket is on point — best beef brisket this side of the Mason-Dixon — juicy, perfectly caramelized fat on the edges with an even distribution of marbling throughout that melts during the BBQ process. It’s really just beautiful and putting BBQ sauce on a work of art as such is akin to blasphemy. BBQ beans are excellent, coleslaw is on the upper echelon of decent, fries are standard and jalapeño corn bread is good. The beer is also cheap!

With abysmal choices along the route we found this salvation of smoked deliciousness. You can smell the wood smoke as soon as you walk in. This place is legit. The Feast was incredible with some of the largest servings of sides I’ve ever seen in a BBQ joint. Jalapeño corn bread FTW. Drive out of your way. Go here if you like BBQ.

This was my 2nd time because I was not impressed the 1st time so I had to give them another chance. Got the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. Pork was tasty but a little too chewy. The bbq beans were really good. The mac and cheese was just okay. Really disappointed that the on-line menu said deep fried pickle«chips» and they were spears. Don’t like the spears. Order was to-go. Never got any napkins or silverware. Good thing we took it home. I would NOT discount them. I suggest you go and try and give the smaller business owner a chance. I personally am a tad hesitant but I probably will give them ONE more try.

We used to live in Avon and we would stop at the 3 legged pig regularly. By far my favorite thing on their menu is the Gas Station Plate(their version of a garbage plate). Their burgers are amazing, well seasoned & cooked perfectly. Served on two sides of your choice from all of their sides, and topped with their home made chili sauce — not that weird mystery meat mix you find on most garbage plates. The brisket melts in your mouth and the ribs are amazing. I’ve had the pulled pork and also loved it. The only thing I will say is that *sometimes* there is a little inconsistency — we’ve had the best brisket of our lives and we’ve has brisket that is so-so. Luckily for these guys, we usually get the good stuff :)

I ate here with my family, had a pulled pork cheese toasted sandwich with Mac and cheese and fries. The shredded pork was nicely done, tender seasoned well… The style it is served is without sauce. There were three to choose from tangy, spicey, or sweet traditional BBQ sauce. I appreciate that because I’m not into the sweet sauce as much. Mac and cheese left a bit to be desired… It was creamy but had no baked top or extra real cheese added for pop. Sweet potato fries were just eh ok. Sides could use a bit more life. The meat is solid and yummy. Would definitely stop in again when I’m in town.

Catering event was delish, there was Soft cornbread, The pulled pork was moistened by great sauces, mild, sweet, hot and a mustardy one. Chicken breast quarters were moist throughout. I think the sausage was homemade, the casing seemed like it. There was a nice fat ratio with a ton of seasoning. Coleslaw was zingy and moist, evenly well shredded. The mac and cheese was so delightfully creamy with a mild cheddar tone. If I didn’t make better myself I’d order from here. Everything was well packaged.

I am not really a fan of this place. I LOVEBBQ and if I see a decent looking place I usually have to go there. I was excited because I saw that they cater and also saw the huge smoker out front so I figured I was in for a treat! Unfortunately this place is just not up to par. The quality of the rib meat was poor and it was almost as tough as leather. There was nothing«fall-off-bone» about them at all. The sauce was just slopped on after the rack was heated up(yes it clearly wasn’t cooked that day). No caramelization.nothing. Just drenched the ribs with it. The green beans with garlic was disappointing as well. It tasted like it was microwaved, was very bland, and just soaked in butter but oddly tasted watery? The garlic was just raw garlic thrown in. I will most likely never go back and will not be recommending this place to anyone. Very disappointing.

We thought this place was great! Really reasonably priced — huuuuge pulled pork sandwiches with two sides for $ 8.50. I couldn’t even finish it, and my husband was stuffed(which is really saying something)! We ordered sweet potato fries, BBQ beans, mashed red potatoes, and the mac n cheese and all of them were great. Reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: –Someone mentioned in an earlier review that the buns of the pulled pork sandwiches were soggy — this is true. Only the bottom part of the bun was soaked, but I couldn’t pick my sandwich up to eat it because the bottom bun just fell apart. –There were quite a few flies inside. Which, really, is understandable because they’re right by Conesus Lake. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, they do takeout, all of the beers that I saw on the menu were $ 4.50 or under, and the staff is friendly and quick. They also recently added corn on the cob as a side, but it’s not on the menu yet.
