I just stayed here for 3 nights & wish I’d seen the Unilocal!reviews first. Those tripadvisor reviewers are a bunch of liars! It’s not surprising that’s the only review site linked on their website.
All & all it wasn’t bad for the price. My problem is I was required to put a $ 100 cash deposit on the room when I checked in, yet had paid online via credit card. There is no mention of this on their website & since I had already paid & needed a place to sleep, I hesitantly turned over a crisp $ 100 bill.
When checking out, I usually just leave the room key & a tip for the maid but I had to get my deposit back. When I went down to checkout, she took my key & said thank you. Why did I have to ask for my deposit? She seemed surprised which made me wonder, they don’t do this to everyone? WTH???
Not surprising my deposit seemed to be «misplaced.» While they looked, I googled the Lakewood non-​emergency police number in anticipation of a civil suit. They told me not to stress, they would sort it out. To which I replied, «If you are taking people’s cash, you need to be more organized» — which was met by a glare. After asking me 3x what day & time I checked in, it was found.
Not a horrible place but I won’t stay there again. If you do stay there & they ask for a deposit, be sure to get a receipt & have the clerk write «$ 100 cash deposit» with their signature & printed name. Hindsight advice.

This is one of the worst places I have stayed. I was there for 10 days with 2 friends and our room was not cleaned for 3 of those days. We had to ask for clean towels and had to ask housekeeping to empty the trash can. Management changed hands during our stay and I must say they have the most horrible customer service I have seen. We asked for a discount due to our room not being clean for 3 out of 10 days and Alyssa at the front desk refused to reduce our cost. Alyssa works at the front desk and she is one of the rudest people I have encountered. She doesn’t know the meaning of Customer Service! Our key card didn’t work the last night we were there and we had to have the front desk open our door for us. Alyssa lied to us and said we had our «Do Not Disturb» sign on our door so that’s why housekeeping didn’t clean our room for 3 days. We were gone every day by 9am or 10am and always took our DND sign off. Alyssa also claimed she didn’t hear that our key card didn’t work out last night there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay far away from this hotel.

Horrible management. worst Inn Ive ever stayed at. DIRTY!!! LOUD. RIF RAF people coming in and out at all hours of the night. tight narrow parking. They swiped my credit card first day and took my money for the 10 days PRIOR to my full stay. This is illegal. Their excuse for this, «WE take the money because you may run off and take our stuff». Photos on line are misleading. I booked this out of State, and thought price was reasonable for 10 days. I made a BIG MISTAKE. New ownership, and they do not know what they are doing at all. three days of no house cleaning and we had taken our DO NOT DISTURB off our door by 10:00 am. After the first day of not having our rooms cleaned and fresh towels, I contacted owners nephew, «Hans», who works at front desk. He was polite, and brought us fresh tiny, thin towels, big enough to swaddle a toddler. He apologized, but then it happened a second and third time, of house cleaning forgetting to clean our room. Very very disappointing. On our last night there, they locked us out. I called them when both our keys didn’t work to get in, and Rosio (night staff), new exactly why I was calling her at 2:30 a.m., she stated «Are you locked out of your room?», When she met us at our room, she stated, «They may have signed you out already, that’s why your keys don’t work.». When we entered our room, we were very tired, but wanted to shower… NO CLEAN towels again, and our room was NOT clean cleaned. They never once changed our sheets, When I let Hans (owners Nephew) and Alyssa (secretary) know the details of being locked out, and the filth, Alyssa shouted back with argumentative statements, and never listened. She was NOT apologetic. Hans kept repeating, «I’m very sorry.» He never offered any discount on our stay after all this. I have never experienced such professionalism, disrespect from office staff, filthy exterior, and not very clean inside units. There was years of dust collection on our vents just dangling down in bathroom. Moldy clumps of hair trapped in plumbing, and our plumbing leaked all over my makeup bad that I kept under the sink. The water was moldy, so I had to throw away everything.
Positive things about this place. Beds are comfy. Close to freeway.

When we arrived, there were sketchy and questionable people hanging around which made us feel uneasy. First impression of our room: musty smelly room, no comforter or bedspread on the beds, just a sheet covering an old blanket. Bathroom counter was full of stains and sink leaking from the bottom. Complaint was made and took them two days to fix it. Shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, ceiling vent was covered in lint and dust. Second day we came back from a long day out to find our room was never cleaned. We made a complaint to management «Han» he offered an apology, not once did they offer to clean the room that day. We had to ask for towels, the towels were the worst quality I have ever experienced. They were very thin and not the least bit absorbent. The «bath» towel was a lot smaller than a normal towel and it took a couple of them to completely dry off after a shower. After a couple days the same thing happens again, we come to our room to find it had still not been cleaned. Once again spoke with management «Han» tells us he’s very sorry and said that we would come back to a very clean room the following day, again not once did he offer to clean the room that day. We come back and find the room cleaned, however the beds were made but with the same sheets, they were never changed out. Three out of ten days our rooms were not cleaned. I believe they had a construction crew possibly staying in the room next to us because we could here people coming and going all hours of the night. One night we came back to the hotel, had no place to park, due to the construction crew staying there, very nice of the night clerk to offer her parking spot to us. Another night we couldn’t get our room door to open, after 10 minutes of standing outside in the cold we had to call management to let us in. They told us that they might have checked us out after the ninth day. All this can ruin your whole day. Time to check out. Go to the front desk, management «Han» and Desk clerk «Alyssa» greet us. We told them that we wanted to charge a different credit card. We begin to go over all complaints and ask for some kind of refund on our bill; after all we did stay for ten days and had put up with a lot of BS. The manager sat and told us they were very sorry, but would not refund anything back to us. The staff really had no problem swiping my card for payment the first day we arrive. They told us they billed all ten days. I guess they do this because they have received so many complaints and don’t want to take any changes on having to refund monies back. The clerk, Alyssa, began to tell us the reason our room wasn’t cleaned was because we had the «Do not disturb» sign on the door. We told her that wasn’t true. I guess she was calling us a liar. She didn’t listen once to what we had to say, she just wanted to argue, one of the rudest people I’ve ever met working in customer service and Han the manager just sat and watched the whole thing. This is the new management company that took over this hotel as of the end of June.
I’m not one to complain however I had to vent about this one, this place is a joke!

Just ok. Stayed here for a staycation. Got a 1 queen sized bed room and it was pretty small, but it came with a fridge, a microwave, a tv, a couch, a desk, and a bathroom with a coffee maker and hair dryer. There was also some soap and shampoo. The desk was awkwardly positioned right near the tv and in front of the bed, making it hard to cross the room. The painting on the wall had a needlessly large frame, and there was only one lamp near the bed. The bed came with a thin blanket which wasn’t that comfortable. I could hear the woman in the room behind me having sex. Awkward. For breakfast they had bananas, oranges, and some hostess snacks like twinkies. I don’t think I would come back here.

Booked online and got here to find it a mess, advertising free breakfast but all they have are Twinkies banana an orange that was it no coffee no eggs no cereal no juice no water nothing. If you need a place to sleep it’s okay the beds are okay the rooms need Improvement but that’s it nothing else is right about this place.

The worst place you can find the management and constantly lying.
House keeping don’t clean the rooms and brings dirty towels.
Stay away at all cost pay a little more but don’t stay here they know how to take your money but not to do their job this place don’t take care of basic Cleaning and germs.
Stay away believe me you’ll thank me!!!

Oh what a fool am I! I booked on Expedia without looking at my fellow Unilocalers reviews. What a dump! If the hotel has one room remodeled they can claim «remodeled rooms «and post that rooms picture. The Americas best value inn is a disaster. The 2^nd story floor is supposedly remodeled but we had a pet with us so we were put on the first floor which hadn’t seen a remodel or good cleaning in years. Maybe that’s what the tip jar at the front desk was for? Yea I’m serious! Understand that you get what u pay for and sometimes a lot less. The horrible smells, the hairs on the pillows, the nasty carpet. We slept with our clothes on, on top of the sheets. The bug infestation, the broken and dirty toilet seat. The stained sheets, the holes in the bed skirt, the frayed carpet. Get the idea? It’s so bad you can laugh about it later if u escape unharmed which I see some Unilocal guests didn’t. Why wouldn’t this hotel spend the money and upgrade the rooms and solve their many problems and charge more? Cause they can sucker people into a $ 56 plus $ 20 a nite for the dog. How many people return to Americas best value inn? I guarantee its NONE !

Made an account to write this post. I’ve read for ratings that said they could give a 0 rating, but I wish I could go into the negatives.
These people don’t care about customers. For a service based company to have such little regard for the customer is nothing less than disgusting. Every policy labeled up on the walls was directed towards convenience for the owner/​employees and not for the customer. For example, there was a sign for a $ 150 fine for people who left syrup on the counter for the continental breakfast. $ 150 fine for smoking indoors (did not seem to be informed with the smell of pot resonating into our room). $ 150 fine for not reporting pets. I’m not sure where the $ 150 is derived from, but for spilt syrup, it’s quite steep.
The staff were cold and rude. I believe it’s family run, or at least close friends. The possibility that I could run into two people who don’t care about customers the way they did is slim. The woman that was working when we arrived did not understand the concept of credit cards. She also failed to review our reservation information before arriving. The owner who was at the counter in the morning attempted to charge $ 150 for pets when our reservation not only stated that we had two dogs, but also had the weight and breed of each. After some talking some sense into the guy, and refraining from blowing up on him, he only charged for one night, since we left immediately the next morning. He also seemed offended that we left, and not concerned that his hotel was utter shit. He didn’t ask how our stay was, but only talked about money the entire time.
Now for the rooms. The first thing I noticed was the smell of musk, then the smell of pot about 20 minutes later. The doors were painted red and had paint stripped off on the inside, as if the place hasn’t been taken care of since its inception 50 years ago. The sheets were damp and smelled terrible. There was a giant spider sitting in the corner of the shower and the iron and ironing board were missing. There’s mold growing on the ceiling and the parking spaces were fit for a smart car.
Pros: the wifi worked.
To the person who is suing the hotel, I wish you the best of luck. However, I’m sure there’s a $ 150 fee for suing the place.
If there’s no hotel under $ 250 and this is the only affordable place you can stay, sleep in your car. You’ll have a better experience.
Update: after talking with the online company to receive a refund for the two nights we didn’t stay (which the man at the counter told us to do), the hotel refused to give the money back. We’re now in the process of opening a bank dispute. My wife and I both were bitten by bedbugs throughout the night, also.

I too wish I could give this establishment 0 stars. Two weeks ago I was denied service due to having a service dog, which is a federal offense. It was 9:30pm and I had nowhere else to go. I provided the manager copies of my doctor’s letter, training certificates, and her certification and he still refused (this is after flying from Maui earlier that day with my dog… apparently her multiple certifications and the letter from my doctor stating she is a seizure alert dog is good enough for the airport but not this hotel). I was literally in tears, and couldn’t believe the way the «manager» was speaking to me. I have filed an official complaint and am seeking legal counsel. DO NOT go to this hotel. There is a reason it is so cheap, and a reason for these one star reviews. Beware!

By far the worst «cheap» motel, ever. I stayed during the U.S. Open Golf tournament. It was the only vacancy around. Normally $ 79 a night they gouged me $ 270 plus tax a night.
The room was filthy. The TV got one channel, the phone didn’t work. A coffee machine with no coffee. One small towel. No closet. Iron holder, but no iron or board. Signs every where with notices of $ 150 fines for; smoking, taking any breakfast food from tiny front desk room, pets, guests, and several other rule breaking.
Trains tracks with trains blowing horns all night. Had to insist on a receipt when I left. I can’t believe this property would every get even one star. Any more has to be suspect. It is the worst.

Price: $ 140 including tax. Was told over phone that it would be $ 110 including tax, was then told in person that the named price was for three people. I was not ambiguous with my questions.
WIFI: easy to connect, slow as expected, reliable at least.
Cleanliness: ⁸⁄₁₀
Shower water stream strength: unsatisfying
Furniture: two beds, microwave oven, refrigerator, flat screen TV, air conditioner, a desk and a rolling chair, coffee maker, lamps, paintings.
Spaciousness: sufficient. There is some room for hanging clothes, and enough room for reasonable logauge.
Customer service: false pricing was given over the phone. Receipt is given at check-​out (this may be standard practice), room keys provided without any useful information like room number or WIFI password.
Nature of area: seems a little bit lower-​income, but the motel itself seems reasonably safe.
Other Comments: in the office/​breakfast area, there is an overflow of fine warnings. $ 150 for taking breakfast out of the room, $ 150 for smoking in the office, and it just goes on and on and on. Rooms are clean, but not up to standards in relation to the price. The shower handle is precariously attached and took a little tinkering to get hot water. Overall, it is tolerable, and probably above average, but it just seems a little too expensive.

I’ve stayed here b4 and it was ok. Last night was horrible! The price not only went up by $ 25, The Jacuzzi tub and the toilet did not work! I went down to the office to complain, And he told me I should’ve checked everything as soon as I got into the room, wtf?!

From the beginning the management kept playing games with prices and agreements. We originally made reservations for our wedding night and several family members that would be attending our wedding. We thought we had secured a better rate by reserving rooms for family members, but the agreements seemed to go out the window as soon as the phone started ringing. They closed their picnic area, which we were going to use for an after wedding party and refused to acknowledge the better rate we had negotiated, in spite of the lower cost per room by earlier reservations.
Cleaning service was non-​existent. Other family members found the carpeting so dirty that they wore shoes while staying in the rooms. The beds were not made up for multiple night stays. There was residue in several of the cups left in the bathroom — yuk!

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN! This place is beyond dirty and poorly maintained. The pictures posted on their website are not even close to the room that you will be receiving. Numerous health and safety code violations including: no smoke detectors in our room (it had been removed, with a hole in the ceiling and dangling wires), uncharged fire extinguisher outside, no fire safety plans on the hotel door, rotted wood walkways and railings, and dirty food containers for their «continental breakfast.» The hotel employees were extremely rude and unaccommodating and when asked for a manager, we were told that there was not one on duty.
The location is in a very shady area with loud, obnoxious extended stay guests. There is also a NO REFUND policy which they neglect to tell you so they can scam you for a stay which you will not complete. A USED condom was also found outside a few doors down from us, (approximately 5am-​3pm) which no one had cleaned up and disposed of.
At 3pm, we went and complained to the front desk about it and we were told that it was not their responsibility to clean it up. With that comment, we decided that enough was enough and checked out one day into our scheduled week long stay. Spend an extra $ 10-​$ 20 for a hotel 5 mins up the road that is clean, hospitable, and has a friendly staff!

Worst experience ever. I was just recently at this shit hole for one day. Smelt like cigarettes, tub leaked, and also the water didn’t work when we got there. Keep in mind we are getting ready for a wedding. Management was rude and sent some kid up an hour later after they said they would be right up to repair… Hmmm Ok. And before we got there people were still cleaning when check in was at 3 and we were an hour late. The bride was there earlier dropping off stuff so why would the be cleaning our room again? Anyway worst customer service they are very rude and shady. Spend the extra 20 to 40 bucks to stay at a nicer place to save the headache folks. If I could give less stars I would… Hell I would shut the place down if I could and get new owners or management in there at the least.

BED BUGS IN ROOM 103!!!
We stayed here November 22^nd and 23^rd and I have 18 bed bug bites on my hands, arm, face and right leg. The bite on my leg became infected and I am now on antibiotics for the next ten days. I notified management the day we checked out that I saw a bed bug on the pillow that morning and she said they just replaced the mattresses so it was not possible for them to have bed bugs. I called again two days ago to notify them of the issue and got the same response. If you decide to stay here please be more cautious than I was, pull back all the sheets and look around the border of the mattresses before you bring in any of your belongings!

Stayed at this inn for a couple of nights. From the moment I walked into my room, I could smell like as if someone has been storing or has chewed «kun» (Burmese word) in my room.
I don’t know what it called in English, but basically it is areca nuts wrapped in betel leaves along with lime (Calcium hydroxide. Not the citrus fruit.). Look up areca nuts to find out what I am talking about.
TV was an old regular CRT tv with Comcast channels.
First night and morning, my neighbors were very loud. As a matter a fact, in the morning, I woke up to a lady guest shouting in the parking lot.
Wifi was free and available with good connection speed.
Parking spaces are too narrow in my opinion. Especially if you have to park between two pickup trucks and or SUVs.
A little hard to find to this place especially at night.
My bedsheets have a couple spots and my pillow cases have some stains. See my pictures.

Good place when we needed somewhere to crash for a night. Cheap motel and we weren’t expecting much. Those have GOT to be stock photos though. This place is in a pretty run-​down part of town and it is adequate but definitely not bright and shiny. There were tons of kids and people milling around, but it did get quiet enough after 10pm, when it was supposed to be quiet hours. Continental-​type breakfast was decent and we didn’t have too much interaction with staff since we were only there for a night.

For the price, you can’t beat it.
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs for 2 nights during our PCS to Ft. Lewis. We paid a little extra for the dogs to stay, but they had a dog run for them to exercise in (which the dogs LOVED after being in a truck for 4 days!). The continental breakfast is ok. All the beds and sheets are brand new and the room itself is very clean. The staff is all incredibly friendly and more than happy to help.
We did make the mistake of leaving our Akita in the bathroom while we ran to grab some food… bad, BAD idea. She ate through the bathroom door! Completely destroyed it. We let the owner know when we were checking out the next day, and she was very cool about it and upfront with us. Gave us an exact price they were going to charge us (much less than I was estimating, considering our dog destroyed the door, doorframe, and part of the carpet) rather than just putting a surprise amount on our tab later.
If we needed a place to stay for a few nights, or had family coming into town, I would definitely recommend here. No, it’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s a great place for a shower and a good night’s sleep.
