I think it’s weird that, as I am donating things, in the back, in the donation drop-off point, there is a big truck picking things up from the store to move them somewhere else? Do they ship this stuff to China? Do they landfill it? Does it go to other locations? My donations, literally, as I was dropping them off, were dumped into containers some which went into the store and some went on the truck. I would much prefer to donate to an organization where my donations were kept local to benefit the local area.

Now for an update, since my last visit about a month ago, they re-arranged the store. Now the entire store has been re-arranged, and guess what? They sorted the shoes! Now the mens shoes are with the mens clothing while the womens shoes are in a separate place. This’ll really help me in the long run I think.

Although relatively clean for a thrift store, some of their pricing is as high or higher than the retail price. I am very confused as to why a thrift store would would have this type of policy. The clothes are between $ 2.50 and $ 10.50 or more depending on what you are buying, but the non-clothing items are ridiculous. I have taken a picture of a tinsel holiday wreath that shows the original price as $ 8.00 but they have it priced at $ 9.99. The toys are even worse. I found a couple of the same small girl toys that had a pricing difference of $ 1.00 but I was told that they couldn’t change the price even though they were both new in the package. The Goodwill on Lincoln Hwy is not like this at all. Their prices reflect the fact that they are thrift shop and not regular retail. The staff was friendly enough though.
