L.A. Tint

Had my windows tinted here originally a few years back. The fronts ones removed and replaced by them a few times because of California laws. Quality of work was OK even though last time whoever did the removal of my front tint was smoking while he removed the tint. Flash forward to today had my girlfriend call and ask if they warranty all their tints (even though I was told when I had the windows tinted they had a lifetime warranty against peeling, or fading). I would presume Noël’s (the owner) daughter was the one my girlfriend talked to she asked how long ago it was (2008) and my gf told her we still had the receipt so she said bring it by so they could take a look. When we arrived I had told my gf that they were going to try to get out of replacing it because of my experience in dealing with them in the past and she agreed, she was surprised they were still in business. When we walked in Noël was the one the helped us, I told him we called earlier about having tint replaced under warranty due to it was bubbling and peeling. He looked at the car and then looked at the receipt for at least 3 minutes before telling me that he could replace the tint and comp. the labor and the film $ 90, but I would have to «participate» by paying $ 80 for the stripping of the old tint. He told me this is because the tint he had in 2008 was global tint and have since gone out of business which bring up the next issue I originally only went there in 2008 because they advertised 3m non — reflective tint. So now I was either lied to as to what I got in 2008 or when I was just there. None of this was worth the money as I am selling the car and was just trying to make it decent for the next owner. He did tell me he would «remember me» and hook me up or give me a deal on the next time I came in. I denied his compensation considering he can’t just fix the one thing that is a problem now. I told him i wouldn’t be returning again.
