Logan’s Roadhouse

The idiots who run this place complained about my review because I simply wrote «Don’t eat here.» They whined saying my review fell outside the Unilocal guidelines because it didn’t provide enough detail. They are too foolish to realize I was doing them a favor. With all of the 1 and 2 star reviews this place gets, you’d think they’d focus on fixing their issues rather than complaining to Unilocal.
OK, Chachi. you want detail? Well, you’re gonna get it…
We went on a weekday night (March, 2015, at about 8:03 p.m., about 56 degrees fahrenheit and about 30.50 Hg barometric pressure). The place was not terribly crowded. There was someone waiting up front to seat us (female, Black, pleasant looking, about age 20), so we had absolutely no wait at that point, which was good. The problem is, though, after we were seated, we literally sat there for almost 15 minutes waiting to have someone come take our drink order. When someone came to take our order (female, white, looked to be about 30) I had a beer (Coors Light), my son had a Dr. Pepper (regular, not diet). I think they normally bring out bread… we never got any. After we placed our drink order, it took another ten minutes to get it.
I ordered the prime rib (12 oz) cooked medium rare, with sides of broccoli and a baked potato. My son ordered a 16 oz ribeye, also to be cooked medium rare, fries and sautéed mushrooms.
It took almost 30 minutes to get our food, during which time we saw nether hide nor hair (it was brown) of our server. I would have loved another beer. While I was waiting, I noticed a lot of unbussed tables and a dirty floor.
Our food finally arrived. My prime rib was over cooked. It was almost totally gray. It also had too much fat on it. The broccoli tasted like Bird’s Eye frozen. My baked potato was old enough to vote. My son’s steak was cooked to medium well (wrong) and had more gristle on it than meat, and his mushrooms (all five of them) were also overcooked. The fries were ok.
It took far too long to get the check.
So, based on my experience, I reiterate: don’t eat here.

The service was mediocre. My party did not receive the complimentary bread before our food. I ordered the filet & lobster tail and it was horrible. The filet was not the proper temperature I asked for and the lobster was cold. Also, one of my sides that was ordered with the meal did not come out. The drink I had was watered down and disgusting. I’m very unsatisfied with this restaurant, the service, & food preparation. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!!

Just had lunch here. Service was awful. The food came out quickly — before the salad– but it was good. The music was BLARING! I had to yell across the little table my husband. I had to make a phone call so I went outside & the music was just as loud outside as it was inside. We waited 10 minutes for our check, 5 of which I was actually standing at the table trying to get our server who was also the bartender to notice we were ready to go. We’re usually fans of this restaurant & have eaten here in a few other states, but we’ll skip this one.

Short and to the point! Logan’s customer service is visibly horrible. Another place I will never frequent anymore. Me and my husband, whom it was his birthday, waited 14 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. It wasn’t until he stood up that someone came over to check on us. Even when that was done the waitress acted as though she was agitated by us not wanting to sit here forever. So of course I didn’t eat, my husband did, and then they wanted to throw a free salad at me after more than likely they had gotten the point that your level of service was extremely poor. Needless to say I won’t be back and free stuff doesn’t impress me not one bit. And no I didn’t take the free salad.

Horrible service; dirty tables; oblivious manager. We will not be coming back. Our waitress did not introduce herself and seems to have a bad attitude – not rude, just not friendly or inviting. I really don’t need this when I am spending my money. I don’t want to complain until we get our food: on second thought we are just gonna cancel our order and leave.

Stopped on our way back from Dallas, my wife ordered a flavored lemonade, and was disappointed to find out that they do not refill the flavor.
Food took awhile before it came out, and steaks were slightly over cooked. Tried to get dessert, but took forever, and to avoid a scene my wife sent me to the car, so not sure if it ever came.
The server was very nice.

The worst place I have ever ate dinner. Live Logans but not here. Prime rib came out looking like beef jersey, ribs was cold and my wife’s burger looked microwaved. The only thing that was right was a small looking skirt steak that was supposed to be a 20 ounce ribeye. Live in the rockwall area and the logans here is great. Will never go to DeSoto Logans again. I suggest nobody go there if you are looking for a good dinner.

Please please please do not eat here. This is my first ever experience with Logan’s and I will not be returning. The dinner salad was pre made and left in the cooler till they are ordered. Three reasons I know this. 1^st our server brought two of them out about a minute after we ordered them. 2^nd is the crotons were soft not crunchy at all. 3^rd the salad was like eating ice cubes with ranch. No salad is ever that cold. Now for the main course. I ordered the pork chops. I’m pretty sure these were boiled with grill marks added after. Very disappointed in this place.

I love Logan’s Roadhouse since I first tried it in Waxahachie, TX where I now live. I was so excited that they were opening one in Lancaster, TX because I love this place and I work in Lancaster. I told all of my friends at work about it so naturally when they opened we went! Terrible! OMG the service is beyond horrible, I don’t know where they found these kind of people to provide you with service. They are rude, they take their time bringing out your food. To top that off, the food sucked. Not only bad service, bad cooks. Just bad, altogether bad. DO NOT GO HERE! BUT DO try the one in Waxahachie if that is not too far for you. And just to prove I tried to give this place a chance, I went 3 times! SMH, I tried. JUST BAD!

Got here at 4 o’clock on Wednesday, The place is such a mess, they had to clean the table so I can sit down.
Then I literally waited 15 minutes, before I was asked to even order a drink water.
Our glasses were empty on several occasions without even being asked if we wanted more, actually had to ask for drinks.
Ordered got salad before appetizer, I ordered a salad with no cheese. It came with cheese. Then we got appetizer, queso and chips, obviously the queso was from a can.
Then we finally get our steaks almost an hour later, and it’s so tough with your fork won’t even stick in it, they are replacing the steak. But now I’m eating by myself. Not a happy time.
OK well, got my new steak! So tough you can’t even bite it!
Wow really they think the thickness of a steak means it will be tough !
Sweet potato was covered in way to much brown sugar!
Bake potato was good!
Oddly enough, while writing this review three other tables demanded to see manager about food!

Logan’s has a great menu. The fried shrimp are enormous and flavorful. I usually get the steak and lobster combination. Ask for the dill butter. It’s a wonderful accompaniment to the delicate lobster. The service is not the best. I have been four times and had to go looking for my waiter each time I was there. Happy hour is terrific. Avoid the weekends. Slow waiters plus a crowded restaurant will have you pulling your hair out.

We come here often because it is convenient and it is hit or miss. We order the sirloin and sometimes it’s good and sometimes it isn’t.

Food is good but not really worth it, but the drink specials are worth it during happy hour. Wings are decent but don’t think I’d go back for the food. Service was not very good, she seemed to be on her phone a lot and would forget what we’d ask her for… Like our drinks and silverware.

Do not come you’ve been warned. Bad food. Bad service. Actually no service at all. Burnt stakes, wrong orders, no refills. Don’t trust the tall black waiter with glasses he doesn’t belong in the business. They made us ration napkins and bread like it was world war 2. Worst meal of my life ever.

Honestly the suckiest serves EVER!!!
Waiter actually made us wait a total of 53 minutes and counting we finished the nuts before the drinks ever came and only had 2 rolls for 6 peaple !!!
No reason why this restaurant should hire sucky waiters like this !!!

Waxahachie is the way to go trust me the drive is worth it …

All I need to say is horrible food… gave them a second chance with the same results HORRIBLE FOOD !!!

I should’ve ordered a steak at a STEAKHOUSE!!! Lol… Ordered fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and white gravy… Also got a baked sweet potato… Ok… The sweet tea is good… I’ll get a steak next time…

Service and food great tonight… New menu is fantastic and. Well. Roadhouse tea. Creamed spinach kind of bland. Au gratin potatoes not too bad…

The service was excellent, but the food was NOT! The fried shrimp was small, and over cooked. The steak was just not good, what cut it was only they know :-(
Will not be returning.

It’s Logan’s y’all. It’s brand new (ok a few months old) and it’s in Lancaster. How many other places in Lancaster can you order a steak?
Not many places at all until they opened Logan’s. It’s a chain, but while still a bit unorganized they’re all nice enough; management seems to care (every time we’re in they come by to check on things) and yesterday (day before??) they produced a top 10 steak meal for yours truly. I don’t rave all that often about steaks I eat out because I can typically make them better at home. I felt like having filet, and grilled veggies, so I did.
Steak, cooked /​seasoned extremely well and beats the ever loving shit out of Saltgrass. The grilled vegetables were completely finished off (zucchini, onion, tomato and mushroom), I don’t know what all they put on it but it was delicious and had a great grill flavor that paired extremely well with the steak. It was so good in fact that I called the manager over to let him know I was extremely pleased. It can’t all be bad and when I have a great experience I like to speak up.
If you’re in the area, don’t let everyone poo poo it. I like it just fine!
