Their Bartenders are nice and they’re drink specials are awesome, but their contests are judged lackadaisically, and their security is over-the-top.(Seriously, carding regulars and kicking them out because they forgot their IDs? People who come in 5 days a week?) Tsk. Tsk.

07.19.2014 Tonight is the last night I will ever patron the Longhorn Inn until they change their ways. I encourage all people of color to refrain from spending their hard-earned monies at an establishment that shows total disregard for the physical and mental well-being of its employees and their patrons of color. Tonight, I went there to celebrate the birthday of a friend and what should have been a joyous time quickly turned sour when another patron made a very racist comment in front of me. Apparently, he blames members of the Black community for being kicked out of a certain high school.(I’m sure his bad attitude concerning Black people in general is why he got kicked out.) His statement included using the«N-word». A few people have mistakenly thought that I am a Pacific Islander and will make racist statements not realizing I’m really an undercover Black girl. Because I’m half-Black, I was extremely offended. Because the Antelope Valley has a problem with racist gangs, I felt it was better not to cause a scene and possibly make myself a target of violence by confronting this person. I told a friend(who also works here) about this experience right after it happened. Not only was she not surprised she knew exactly who this was because this person was a repeat offender several times over. This person has loudly claimed their«white power» status in front of them and made statements using the«N-word» in their presence. Even the door person knew who this was acknowledging this person’s previous grievances regarding his race-hatred statements. She stated that it makes her very uncomfortable, as a Black person, that they allow this repeat offender to come back and patron this bar. And since her employment options aren’t bountiful she can’t just walk away from her job. After relaying my experience with the door person, he had a «talk» with the offender and allowed him to stay in the bar knowing the history this person has making offensive statements to people of color. I felt this was not enough and spoke with the owner who also admonished this person’s behavior, but still the owner allowed him to stay. Without action that clearly shows that there are direct consequences for bad behavior the offender is free to repeat it because there are only empty threats of being asked to leave. This needs to change as it creates a hostile environment for the both the employee and patrons of color. This is not acceptable and I decided that I would leave because I do not want to spend my hard earned money somewhere that would allow their employees to be treated in such a way I made sure to let the owner know that I was leaving and why and they seemed to lack understanding of the nature of my decision. And I explained to them why and they said that they had told him that if his behavior continued she would kick him out. They asked me what I wanted her to do. It should be obvious; he should be permanently banned from this establishment. He is a repeat offender and cannot be held to an «honor system.» What he said to me will roll off me like rain on a duck’s feathers, but my friend should not have to work in this kind of environment. Maybe I’m not a big spender, and my contribution to this bar will not be missed. That’s ok. Maybe not a lot of people will boycott this bar because of what I’m writing. But if you go there and someone racially offends you understand that while this bar may«talk» to this person to placate you the offender is free to come back and harass you or any other person based on their race, gender or orientation again and again. I choose to say no. No, I will not patron an establishment that allows their employees to work under hostile conditions. No, I will not spend my money somewhere where repeat offenders are slapped on the wrist. I choose to stand up for what is right.

If for some odd reason, you find yourself in Lancaster, this is a nice, spacious bar with a great local atmosphere to visit. We didn’t try the food, I didn’t get any beer, but we were there for a local band night with our not-so-local band. Parking is drastically lacking, but we found some form of parking near a wall on what seems to be a storage place. And they seem to be one of the few places that allows smoking indoors at a designated smoking table. You know, not that smoke stays there, but okay. Whatever. I can survive to an extent in a secondhand smoke cloud I’d rather not be in, but if management wants that, great. I would like to return to try their food menu, however. It was still a pretty nice venue for a local bar in the middle of nowhere in Lancaster. I don’t think I can get over the smoke, though. It wasn’t a big issue, however. Well ventilated to a point. But, well, there’s driving to Lancaster. If you’re not already there for some reason, probably best not to make the trip.

I LOVE this place… Great food and entertainment! Karaōke on Sunday and Monday with Lady KJ(Katia) and with BJ on Wednesday and dancing during the week too. Had the BBQ wings, onion rings, french fries and drinks and only spent $ 25! WOW and was it yummy! Nice servers and fun environment with pool and darts to play if your not into singing or just come out for a drink and listen to the great singers! No other place has Karaōke on Sundays or Mondays! No rough crowds just fun laid back people! Check it out!

My husband & I love this place. We are big fans of dive bars! This is a cool place, cheap beer & cool people :) We always have a great time here. The owner John is very nice, he greets us with a smile! My only complaint is the cigarette smoke but, I think that’s expected in just about every dive bar…

This place has really gone downhill. A new change in management has made this place less welcoming to bikers. .. . this place was originally a biker bar by the way. On top of that they seem to have replaced the old friendly bar tenders with young, snobby, and stupid ones. Me and some friends went there and paid for drinks, the same bartender came back with the drinks and forgotten she had been given the cash. We payed again then left. What was very insulting about this is also the fact that we had been regulars of this place for years. The new management however didn’t recognize us as such. I liked the live bands they used to have, again now they really don’t have many appear there. Decent set up, horrible management.

The eight dollar steak, beer, fries and beans dinner makes a buffet in Laughlin Nevada look like a winner on Top Chef. You will need a buzz saw to get through the steak. The waitress does have more tattoos and a better tattoo color scheme than the waitresses at Maxdon’s. Even though the bar is a biker bar, they seem to enjoy blasting Rhianna and prepubescent girl music the whole time. I won’t give up though, I will try to come on a Friday night when they have live blues music.

Another of the local Lancaster dive bars, lovingly located between the Britisher and the Trap. Doesn’t have that rough ‘biker bar’ ambiance, just a relaxed place to belly up and hoist a few brewskies. I haven’t been here yet on a busy night, but there’s plenty of bar seats, plus tables for groups. They’ve got some pool tables, darts, jukebox and t.v.‘s for watching sports or what-have-you. Dunno if they do karaōke or not, but I know they have live music.
