Mi Durango Tex-Mex

Coming back from Mammoth and nearly starved to death!
Searched for Mexican on Unilocal and this place came up.
I ordered the carne asada fajitas and it was glorious!
Service was awesome and prompt!
I will come back !

Hole in the wall joint that would benefit from better location. Ordered food to go, came fast and was pretty good but nothing to write home about.

Love this place. Real Mexican food, fresh, yummy, great portions, not too salty or fried or saucy. Just right! Very friendly service too.

By far, the most authentic Mexican food. from several different regions of Mexico. I have been looking for a good Chili Rellano in this valley since I moved here 20 years ago. Found this place by accident. I was getting my hair done next door at Escape Salon (recommend Tanya too! Lol) Decided to get a to go order, because I didn’t want to cook. Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t your «typical» Mexican food that we have so much of here in the valley. Went back and dined in a few days later. The service wasn’t so great, but the food was jus incredible. Wish they had a real «bar» they serve mixed drinks but made with mixers. At any rate, very much worth a trip! =0)

Wow… The only reason I tried this place is because of all the good reviews. I really wanted to be able to give a REAL review. I was wrong. This place was great! I had the Perez (carnitas) burrito and it was fabulous! The whole family really enjoyed their meals. I will definitly go back.

Man the food here was great! I hadn’t had any good Mexican food in a while and this hit the spot. I left here full and happy. I’d rate it 10 stars if I could.

I am always trying to find good savory Mexican food. This Tex-​Mex was awesome, delishes food and good service. I loved their homemade chips, to die for.

All I can say is that the service was great, the food was super yummy and did I mention the service was Great! Super friendly, accommodating and the place gives off a real family feel! I don’t travel the 14 Frwy often but when I do I will make sure I stop by and get my fix of my new favorite Tex Mex joint!

Seriously this place is fantastic. Please overlook the strip mall location. The interior is well maintained and clean. They clearly reinvest in the business. The woman who helped us was the owner. She was super personable and cute. She brought us out 4 different types of salsas. All wee home made by her. My wile and I loved them. I lived the thin red salsa. It made my eyes water, my nose run and my lips numb. We had nacho supreme, tacos and enchiladas. We enjoyed every bite. We would highly recommend this wonderful little spot to all.

I had really high hopes for this place because of the great reviews it got on Unilocal,but it was really disappointing. We came on a Sunday to a completely empty restaurant, that should have been my first sign to leave, but we stubbornly stayed. When my husband and I got our waters, there was an ant in his glass. The waitress quickly fixed it, and admitted that they have been having a bit of an ant problem in the dining room. Our chips and salsa were actually really good, so I had high hopes for my dinner. My plate looked beautiful when it arrived, but the flavor did not match the appearance. Everything was pretty bland and boring, nothing to write home about. My husband got the Perez burrito, he said it was alright, but over hyped for sure. The whole experience was really mediocre and I don’t think we will be going back.

The chips tasted homemade but Mr. Picky wasn’t a fan, although he did like the salsa (mild red). The sauce for the taco was dark and smokey. The chili con cueso sauce on the chili relleno was good, but I might have preferred a little more flavor punch on that and the cheese enchilada. He liked the beans and I liked the rice when I mixed it with other sauces on the plate. He rates it «3» but I think I’d bump it higher. I think the food was a «3.5», but the nice waitress and clean environment result in the jump to «4».
I’d love to try the Molcajete but I’m not sure I can drag Mr. Picky back again. Pity…

We had Mi Durango cater for us and they did a fantastic job! Everything arrived on time and was fresh, hot and delicious. Our guests raved about the food! I will use them again and recommend them highly.

Best molcajetes in town, really good horchata drink, carne asada plate is awesome. Servers are always in a really good mood and they make you feel special. This is a place everyone looking for good mexican food must try!

We have succesfully used Mi Durango to cater very large company events, 200 plus people… They have flawlessly executed on each occasion and will be catering our largest event of the year, Cinco De Mayo! The Owners and their son Eric are a true pleasure to deal with, and will make any accommodation within in reason to support your event! I honestly can’t wait for next week, May 5^th, to once again enjoy their authentic Mexican dishes and homemade salsas! Keep up the excellent work.

My coworkers and I have ordered their breakfast Macho burritos to go several times. We are always satisfied by the taste and size of the burritos. Service is great and owners and staff are friendly. I have also dined in and had the same great experience. On weekends you can see mexican families there so that tells you the food is authentic. Highly recommended!

Ok I’ll be honest I drove past it the first time get the first. But I was hungry and it was close to so I turned around. When I saw the picture of the number one special I knew I had to get that. Boy did I make the right choice! The taco was classic Tex Mex it reminded me of when I was a boy in Texas. Well made and delicious. My plan was to take part of it home (large portions) I say my plan because once I started eating I couldn’t stop. The Inside is clean and nice and people are friendly, so do yourself a huge favor and stop in here whenever you can. I know that I will be back.

As others have stated Mi Durango is located in a strip mall and you will drive right past without seeing it unless you are looking for it. Nondescript on the outside but quite pleasant and warm on the inside considering its strip mall location. There are booths along the walls and tables down the center with seating for about 45 if I had to guess.
I seated myself and the waitress was over right away with a menu, I ordered the «Mi Durango Special» which consists of One Cheese Chili Relleno with Chili Con Queso, One Atotonilco Taco, One Cheese Enchilada, Rice & Beans. For the beverage I ordered a jamaica. My drink was brought to me right away and after a short wait the waitress was back with my lunch. The food was presented on two plates with the taco on a separate small plate and everything else on a larger platter. This was a lot of food and I could have brought half of it home for later but it was so good I finished it all right there. The waitress checked up on me a couple of times and came over when she noticed my drink was almost gone and asked if I needed a refill.
In conclusion, the food and service were top notch and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t stop by and give Mi Durango a try!
