Ohm Indian Grocery

This has a great selection of spices and herbs you won’t find easily locally for Indian dishes. The owner is friendly and will give vital tips for preparing dishes unfamiliar to the adventurous cook. He told me some of the Hindu mythology of some foods as well as alleged medical affects of certain herbs. When I was attemptiing to make breads he was invaluable in hints to make it much easier.
There are easy to prepare box foods as well as some frozen food selections. A great selection of flours and rice.
I RECOMMEND CALLING AHEAD. He’s not always 100% on his posted hours and he’s also there sometimes on Sundays when it says he’s not open. I like to stop here after going to Roots Market (not too far up the road), to pick up that something special.
He also has some of the finest saffron around, when it’s in stock.

Mmm, Indian food. This place is a nice sized store with lots of items to choose from. The prices are decent and they have a number of frozen items that I will have to return for including samosas (mmm). They also have videos for rent, but I dont know about what the selection is. You can just see them behind the register.
