It’s Red Lobster… It’s a chain restaurant… it’s dark… it’s set in the tourist area of town. The only thing fresh about my meal were my expectations. Service was okay, food was _____. If your living in a bubble this is the place to go.

BUTTERBOMB… DARKATMOSPHERE… I come from NYC and am a foodie. I love seafood and wanted to do the Red Lobster thing while I was in Lancaster. OMG what a waste of time and $. I spent 70. dining with my 9 year old daughter for what? Let me tell you… BUTTERBOMB The biscuits came out: BUTTERBOMB you could taste the butter in them. Lots of it. OMG they were light and tasty but a butter bomb. My daughter and I ordered the fried calamari appetitzer but as you know, you can do a light fry like a tempura style light and crispy fry or an oil soaked fry that makes your fingers wet with grease. the calamari was the latter. My napkin was filthy from the grease on my fingers from the calamari. I had to use the fork to dip it. the«vegetable platter» that supposedly came with it was fried broccoli(isn’t that an oxymoron?) and other«vegetable» on the calamari and veggie platter was deep fried red bell pepper(?) THAT is a vegetable? OK if you say so. Anyway between the buttery biscuit and the grease laden apppetizer OK I ordered what said Lobster and Scampi over Linguine. I figured it was shrimp scamp and lobster over linguine spaghetti. My daughter got the shrimp trio as she loves shrimp. My spaghetti and the sauce on top was not hot but luke warm to cool. It was sitting in a puddle of? you guessed it… BUTTER. OMG so much butter it coated my mouth and It was hard for me to taste the subtle flavor of the lobster. I actually forked the spaghetti which was undercooked out of the platter and onto a clean plate left over from the appetizer to save it from the butter bath it was sitting in. Yuck. My daughters experience with the shrimp trio was the same. her scampi sauce was butter and the shrimps were soaking in it I then got a bill for 60 dollars. Never again. Whether its in Lancaster or anywhere, never again. Tasted like«corporate» food too Not authentic. If you are in Lancaster and want clean delicious freshly made food from fresh ingredients, go to Lintia’s. a stone’s throw from this disaster and eat GOOD food that is freshly made and the bakery makes all their own delicious. pastries at Lintia’s. Happy eating.

I went to the restaurant tonight at 6:30 pm. I was very surprised that there was no waiting as i have had to do in other red lobsters. I walked right up to the hostesses desk and seated right away. Valerie was my server and pleasant person took drink orders and when the sprite soda came out tasting only seltzer water. Valerie took care of it right away. I ordered a bowel of new england clam chowder. The soup came out hot and great tasting. I add fresh ground pepper to enhance the flavor. The dinner came with a choice of tossed salad or Ceasars salad. I went with tossed no dressing. Nice sixe portion and all fresh. The down fall of the meal was the main course. I orderd the seaside shrimp trio. The fried shimp was the best part on the dish. Breaded well fried well and hot. The shrimp scampi came on the dish in a casserole dish filled with butter and the shrimp drowning in butter. Like eating butter and shrimp. the Shrimp Alfredo was a total mess only ate the Four shrimp that was edible. The linguini was under cooked and the sauce was cold and made the linguini clump together. Looked like the alfredo sauce had separated on the side of the plate. The broccoli was ice cold and overcooked. The presentation was horrible. This was the second disappointing visit to a red lobster in two different states. If all red lobster are like this i give up on them.

Typical mediocre, Darden restaurant. Lowest common denominator food and ambience. Tonight I sat across from not one but two large families with numerous kids, most of whom were scurrying about the floor or, in several cases, under the tables. They had spread food and paper waste all around the floor. It made for a festive atmosphere, whether you wanted it or not. There’s nothing wrong with big families having a night out. Nothing at all. I just don’t usually choose to share that event with them. And that’s part of the problem you can’t avoid at places such as Red Lobster. They coupon and promote the crap out of it and you get these families and groups doing these one offs and trashing the place. The food was the only reason they two stars instead of one. I ordered fish and chips(because I’m not a risk taker at Darden restaurant) and, somewhat surprisingly, the fish was nicely done. The fries were a soggy mess and there was maybe a dozen of them. Apparently potato costs have soared. My wife, who loves RL, enjoyed her shrimp sampler(I thought it looked terrible) but as long as she is happy, that’s the important part. The service was nice, a bit weird, but nice. At times the commotion caused by the two nearby family groups cut into our server dealing with us but that’s not their fault. In was a little disappointed that, as we left, the two tables were still covered in dirty plates and old food and the floor was similarly covered trash. It didn’t add to the ambience to be sure. Look, it’s Red Lobster. If you escape food poisoning, you should probably consider it a victory. So I’m not trying to be unreasonable, hence, again, the two stars. If, like me, you have a spouse that loves RL, then go. If not, there’s no reason to go here. There are always better alternatives. Well, most of the time.

I have eaten here maybe 3 or 4 times and I have been both pleased and dissatisfied. I took my friend here for her birthday during shrimp fest one year and what a disappointing meal that was. The service was lousy, the food wasn’t nearly as good as it should have been, and the presentation was very poor. In contrast we took my mom here for her birthday once and it was a good experience. Nothing over the top, but the service was prompt and the food was good. That’s the thing with these chain restaurants I guess. Nothing against Red Lobster, but this store is a little wishy washy at times. Haven’t been for awhile though so who knows.

Staff is friendly, our waitress was extra helpful and knowledgeable. Food is above average but salty… I’d give 5 stars if they could somehow get the excess salt out.

Great time. We ordered endless shrimp. They bring out two orders at a time which I loved. The only downside was that we waited a good 10 – 15 minutes before our waitress came to order our drinks. But the food was great!

We went to this Red Lobster around 6 pm on a busy Saturday night. Obviously, we expected a wait. Although the restraunt was rather full, we were seated relatively quickly, and faster than the what the hostess had told us. There is also a QR code to scan so you can play a game while waiting for your seat, or view the menu. Great idea! Our server was very nice, and for the most part left us alone to enjoy our food. Refills came fast. I had never been here before, and was surprised by the biscuits served with all meals. Very good. Beer prices were not outrageous. The menu contains many healthy options, and many varieties of fresh fish and seafood. My wife does not eat seafood, but was still able to find many options on the menu. We will definitally be returing to this establishment!
