Super 8 Lancaster

We went to an archery tournament in Lancaster and figured we only sleep and shower in our hotel. But his time we were snowed in. Building was under construction and we were not told that at booking time. You could see the rafters on each floor, we got put on the 3^rd floor even though we requested first floor. Smelled of smoke everywhere. No breakfast as advertised, elevator did not work and we had to carry luggage up and down 3 floors. Snow was not cleared from our lot and our car was totally buried. We spent two long days eating out of the vending machines. On the last day another guest and his wife cleared the roads so we could get out and used a mental snow shovel on our rented car to get the snow off! Scratches everywhere. Called corporate and told them we would not pay for any accommodations nor would we ever stay there again. This is what happens when American businesses sell out to anyone that will pay the price of ownership.

4 people for 2 weeknights for $ 150.00 breakfast included… so if you break that down per person per night that’s $ 18.75 so let’s not expect the Waldorf Historian or Trump Taj Mahal… lol…you got 2 queen beds, 1 table and 2 chairs, 1 – 2 drawer dresser, a 24″ flat screen tv, shower, toilet, sink, a/​c and heat… all in all basic accommodations the one nice thing is that you are right on route 30 a main artery between Lancaster, Harrisburg & Maryland, Delaware so there is a lot of things to do and places to eat and since you didn’t spring for the more glamorous accommodations you can spend more on the strip… lol but seriously for the money it’s not a bad place to stay.

Made a reservation by phone walked in and about gaged the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke and the lobby was dirty even though I missed the cancelation time I refused the reservation, I wouldn’t ever recommend this place to anybody. If i wouldn’t of found a room at a hotel down the street I would of slept in my car.

The filthiest most disgusting room I have ever been in. We had a fire and the Red Cross put us up here for the night. GROSS!!! Filthy! Horrible!!! I only put one star because you have to.

Very very ghetto! Hallways stink like animal urine, vomit, and cigarette smoke. No microwave or refrigerator in a queen size bed room and the front desk clerk is very incompetent and rude. I just wanted to know where the ice machine was and the front desk personal, separate from the check clerk, acted like I lived here for ever a should’ve known, not like signs are posted or anything. Glad my family is only staying one night and don’t have to worry about an early cancelation fee. Never again in Super 8, I’d rather pay the extra $ 10 and stay somewhere more professional and sanitary.

Most gave one star but I added a second star because we didn’t hear any gunshots last night.

I wish I had read this review before checking in at this location. We were there for 1 night and thank God it was only one night. We were on the first floor because we had a dog. No one with a pet is allowed on the 2^nd or 3^rd floor. The hallway STUNK of… I honestly don’t know… cat urine maybe? The room was outdated and when you check in, there must be atleast 10 signs at the front desk. Let us know if you have a pet, check in time is AFTER 3PM — you can check in before then but must pay extra, and, my hand on a Bible, this sign said: If you don’t check out the room BEFORE you pay for it, you can’t get a refund if you don’t like the room. WOW — seriously? That should’ve been the FIRST indication this was a problem. They don’t even have «do not disturb» signs for the door handles. We walked past 2 hand written notes on doors… Please, heed my advise and pay for a better room somewhere else.

So awful… DO NOT STAY HERE. Most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been in. I would not have stayed here if reviews were written on Unilocal about it… Check Trip Advisor… People had plenty to say about it.
