This is a nice little family owned business. The baked goods are made from scratch with love and you can taste the difference. It’s not much to look at as far as décor and ambiance goes. This isn’t the sort of café I’d go to hang out for extended lengths of time, but everything I’ve ever eaten from here has tasted like heaven. Do yourself a favor and get your baked goods here instead of a grocery store next time. You won’t regret it.

Pleasant little bakery/café located just across from the Lancaster Amtrak station. Fresh made breads, muffins, croissants are only a sampling of what this place offers. Nice stop for a quick breakfast or lunch, and hot coffee. The staff is friendly and quick to serve, and we’re very happy to have some Unilocalers! My son absolutely devoured his blueberry muffin and smiled the entire time. Will definitely stop back in.

Awesome little bakery close to the train station. Croissants are delicious and I love the Everything Bread.

The breads here are out of the world good. It’s changed hands recently, again, the owners are a bit dry but the food is good and has been been since Paul first opened it a decade ago. I miss the last owner and especially the Hispanic woman who ran it before that. But letting go of the way its run… the place is clean and the food is quite remarkable especially for Lancaster. A little courtesy would go a long way but they simply do not encourage it from either side of the counter. Its not a homey or warm place to shop… It’s a shame because it truly is the best bread shop in town and its the best fresh soup place in town. Its hours are quite ridiculous(short and inconvenient) you can’t get in there if you have any kind of a job at all. That really should be re-examined. So if you can get past the help that serves you a bit resentfully, and hours that challenge even the unemployed. …go for it. Breads.sweets.soup. oh yeah. …not cheap! Should get 5 stars… and with a simple switch to gracious… they would deserve it.

excellent bakery and bread shop downtown lancaster across from the train station. have tried their french, whole wheat, honey walnut and italian breads… all were amazing and lasted for several days without going rock hard. their chocolate croissants are out of this world! if you get here around 630⁄730 the croissants are still warm :)) they also have great coffee. go in the morning for the best selection! their lunch sandwiches are incredibly fairly priced/on the cheap side. i had a ham sandwich with pear and choice of cheese on my choice of their homemade bread… nom nom nom. they have a few other sandwiches and salads as well. my only wish it that this place was open a little bit later so that i could stop on my way out of town after work to get bread for dinner!
