I called these guys when my absent-minded mother-in-law locked herself out of the house. They were polite on the phone and the price seemed pretty reasonable. However, they said that a tech would be there within a half an hour — but it wound up being more than an hour; and I was told that we would be able to pay with a card — but the tech said she didn’t have a card reader. Oops. They did get the door open, but I’ll not be likely to use them again.

I was locked out of my home and the guy quoted a certain price over the phone that included the key. Cool. The locksmith did come on time, but I didn’t need the key and charged me the same price for literally 5 minutes of work. When I asked how come it wasn’t cheaper he said that was the flat rate and it’d be an extra $ 20(on top of what I was quoted inclusive of a key) for a key. I called the number back and he said he never said anything about a key and tried to make it seem like I was wrong because I called another number before I got back to him(the other number I called was my landlord, not a competitor). That’s definitely an issue for me– I feel like I was purposefully misquoted to employ their service. I wouldn’t use them again.

I called them when my key wouldn’t work to my Toyota Sequoia. The dealership quoted me a price of over $ 600 to get a new key(they wanted to replace the computer system and charge for labor.), but Tri-County spent two hours and rebooted the computer system to my vehicle. They gave me a new(programmed) transponder key for only $ 150 total. They were very kind and helpful. Don’t go to the dealership! Btw, the address is wrong. It’s actually 44208 Division, just down the street

Wow Called in to get my Honda Ridgeline ignition cylinder replaced because the key would not turn any more and truck would not start. George came out and quickly removed ignition switch, and replaced cylinder, adjusted another attached lever to connected switch as well, with the patience of a saint. Very polite, very professional, very neat. Went beyond the norm to get me back on the road. Wish every business was this thorough, and knowledgeable. Very prompt. AAA première card covered all work. No out of pocket expense for me. I will definitely call TriCounty, for all future needs. cant say enough good things about my experience. A+++ Perry C.

I just called them to see if they could put a latch or lock on my screen door and they told me they are unable to do so. The recommendations must be out of date or they had someone not very skilled answering phone calls. I am very disappointed.

When I called a live person answered and was very pleasant — they quoted a very reasonable price and said someone would arrive in an hour. The service tech arrived faster than an hour and literally opened the door within 1 minute and made a key on site for me. They also took a credit card on the spot and gave me a receipt. Couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend. Will definitely call on them again.

This place was the second place I went to to get keys made for a lock to a screen door we don’t have keys for. The first place we contacted told us to bring the lock over which we did. Unfortunately after driving across town, he told us he couldn’t make keys for this lock as it was too obscure(my wording not his). I went to a big chain hardware store to look at new screen doors and pulled up my Unilocal app to find another locksmith to try out and this one was a 1 – 2 miles from my location. I drove there yet the address on the Unilocal page is incorrect(they moved down the street). I did find the place and showed the lock. The guy named Gilbert took a look at it and said he can give it a try if I’m not in a hurry. He quoted me a real reasonable rate and told me to check back with him the next day to see if he is able to make keys. Next day comes and it was latter in the day when he got the job done. We were real happy with these guys and would definately use them as well as to recommend their services.

Re-keyed my house, adding a lock to my sliding glass door(no easy feat), put in one garage door opener with two wireless keypads(one for the other door). They were about an hour and a half later than I expected, but that may have been a misunderstanding on my part. Very fair pricing. THEYAREVERYPOLITEANDPROFESSIONALANDHAVE A «CAN-DO» ATTITUDE!

Yep, the reviews are right. Called them up when we were having problems turning the ignition to start our car, and the key would also get stuck in the ignition. They quoted me a price to fix it, at they were the lowest so we went there. Once I got there, the again quoted the same price, but first suggested we try a cheap solution of «re-coding a key.”(?) I think it means making a key from scratch, instead of copying it from a key that’s been worn down. They tried that, but it didn’t work, so they went back to what they thought was more likely the issue. They told us it’d take an hour, and they finished in 40 minutes. They also didn’t charge us for the re-coded key, so that was a nice freebie. Next time, I won’t even call for an estimate, I’ll just go to them. I appreciate the fact that they stuck to their quoted price, that they were the cheapest, and finished even quicker than promised. Oh, and no complaints on the quality.

Quick after-hours service(21:00). Gilbert was professional, honest and straightforward, and I felt the value was on par with the cost. Took cash, card, or check. They’re now on speed dial. Rock on, gentlemen.

These guys were great! We got home from vacation & locked all our car keys in the trunk. They made it to rosamond in about 40 mins(at midnight BTW). He got into the car with no problems but the anti-theft features kicked in & wouldn’t let us pop the trunk. Luckily he was able to make a key to enter the trunk & saved the day. It ended up costing us $ 125 which is what they originally quoted us over the phone. He even made us a spare without charging extra. Bottom line… He quick, friendly, got the job done & we didn’t get charged extra for anything. That almost NEVER happens.
