LOVE Cypress Creek! There are multiple entrances and our family prefers the one off Pump Station Road. We enjoy cycling on the paved road, with virtually no vehicle traffic. There are no facilities so you need to bring your own water, etc…14 miles out and back when you add in the side road. Great wildlife too.

There’s not much in the way of facilities, but Cypress Creek does have miles and miles of unspoiled, uncrowded trails – if you can find it. It’s nestled back essentially behind a neighborhood, just off a back road, and google maps doesn’t even seem to have the right location. It’s definitely off the beaten track here – but that’s why I love it! Walking through swamp and Florida prairie, it’s easy to forget that you aren’t the only person left on earth. I rarely pass anyone past the entrance areas, and with well marked trails I can feel like I’m getting lost in nature while always knowing how to get out. There’s a ton of wildlife, and supposedly great fishing(don’t ask me, I don’t own a pole!) but it’s mostly a place to come to wonder at nature and what was here before the humans came. But the mosquitoes have staked out a pretty hefty presence, so don’t forget bug spray, and the limited facilities do not include a safe drinking water source so haul along water. But if you’re local, come out and lose yourself in the wonder of Florida countryside.

This is a lovely park. I like the entrance on Parkway Boulevard on the left before Pine View Middle School. There is a nice loop trail off the left. Depending on the season it can be a little overgrown and they do rototilll for a fire break so it can be a little choppy, but it’s got some good trail running opportunities. There is also an entrance on Pump Station Road and a paved trail in this part of the park. Cool place to explore if you like nature.
