Sassy Nails By Nia

Nia is on time & super knowledgeable on foot care. If you’re looking for the usual «cheese shredder» to remove the dead skin that most of us are accustomed to, you will not get this with Nia (and besides, we shouldn’t treat our feet like a block of Swiss!)
One client at a time, which is awesome because you are the focus. Again, I’m sadly conditioned to expect my pedicure man/​woman to focus on everything except the task at hand.
Nia uses great products and has a nice selection of colors.
On the downside, I wouldn’t go here regularly, as in my little opinion, it’s costly. But you truly get what you pay for. Nia is all about foot care– kudos for that!
This is a spot I’d go out of my way to treat myself (birthday, special event, etc).

A hidden gem.
Nia is a true artist. Her gel manicures last forever. The shop is clean. She perfectly shapes my nails. She is always on time. Her pedicures are thorough. And, my coworkers always compliment her handiwork. It’s personalized service with a smile. Quite simply, there is nothing better.

I visited NIa yesterday (2÷5÷15) and my visit and the results of my visit were amazing. Nia has a plethora of products to select from and I appreciate the knowledge that she provides. I ask A LOT of questions, well because I like to talk — and she’s very easy going. I came in with DRY feet and toesies and now they look all purtty. I change my mind on my colors a few times, while she was shaping my nails, but the final result was great. I even made my next appointment PRIOR to leaving.
Here are few things that I appreciate about Nia:
*She supports local businesses, not only did she have their information in house, but she uses and sales products from other small businesses
*She upsales you on the right products — I NOW own some pedisocks. And boy was I happy, I had errands to run last night and it was FREEZING, but with the use of my new pedisocks — I was A.Ok.
*All of the products smell AMAZING

Today was my first time seeing Nia. I arrived 5 minutes late but was still out in a timely fashion, a little over an hour. There was a lot of work to be done… re-​shaping, filing and filling in. With all this work, I never felt rushed and my nails look like actual finger nails… not bulky claws or hard calcified foreign matter at the end of my finger… they look like natural NAILS! Nia was very delicate, did everything by hand and has demonstrated a level of professionalism that is unprecedented.
I urge any woman reading these reviews/​comments to try her out… your life and hands will be forever changed!

I am always nervous when trying new places but Nia exceeded my expectations! She was prompt, knowledgeable and VERY sanitary. I’ve finally found the perfect nail technician! I went here for a manicure. I quickly made my next appointment before leaving because with the service she provides I’m sure she gets booked fast!

today was my first time trying out sassy nails by Nia. Ms. Nia did a beyond excellent job on my nails. I got a pedicure (she had the water waiting for me before I had arrived) and manicure with designs. She is located in a salon plaza (parking available) and has her own suite (with door) for privacy and relaxation unlike most salons where you are out in the open and can hear everyone’s conversation and issues. Her space is bright, clean, and spacious. I was able to enjoy the salon experience and watch television while having occasional conversation with her throughout the process. Her techniques and knowledge about nails is amazing and she even provided me with advice for better upkeep on my natural nails in between scheduling. Pricing was reasonable and worth it since she provides the whole pampering experience for you and you get what you pay for in every way. I liked the experience so much I referred my mom and others to her instead of the 50 millions typical Asian salons out here. I will definitely be going back to her for regular upkeep. Ms. Nia definitely knows her stuff and does a fabulous job with nails, designs, advice, and professionalism.

Awesome nail technician!!! I’ve been looking for a new technician because I’m so tired of the others nails salons destroying my nails! Nia is a very skilled and experienced technician, she is very professional with excellent customer service. When I arrived she already had my water ready for my pedicure! Oh! Not to mentioned she files by hand and my nails have never looked so natural. I will be back. Thank you Nia.

Nia is an amazing nail tech. I was a little apprehensive about having an African American do my nails because I was so used to visiting Asian salons. Best decision I’ve ever made. The location is very conventient with plenty of parking. Her suite is always tidy and clean.
There nothing worse than waiting 10 – 15 minutes with an appointment for the tech to finish her client. When I arrived my pedicure water was already in the works while she finished up a client. Nia does a great job being on schedule and making time for me when I call at the last minute. I’ve never waited longer than 5 minutes; if that, it takes me that long to pick a color.
All of Nia’s products are top notch as well as her techniques. She takes pride in all her work and never rushes even when her next client is there or if I’m her last client. There were a few times she would take a polish off because she didn’t like it or the design could of been better. Any other tech would just put the top coat on hope it looks shiny and pretty and your out the door.
I’m not ususlly a big tipper but with the quality of her work/​professionalism she deserves it.

I have been searching for a nail tech who files by hand, does acrylic, does fun designs, has a clean environment and is knowledgable about nail care, Nia is this nail tech. I was previously traveling to New York faithfully to get my nails done correctly with intermittent fills by subpar people. As an acrylic wearer for over 20 years I know good, great and ok work, and Nia’s work is GREAT.
Her prices are reasonable, designs are fun, fill technique is impeccable, her basic pedi has my feet feeling better than $ 90 spa specialty pedis I’ve had at almost ½ the price.
I found Nia by searching for Minx providers in the DC area, as
I was tired of some of the more ghetto/​urban Asian salons I’ve had to visit for Acrylic.
The location is right off the beltway with plenty of parking, I only hope I’ll still be able to get an appointment after listing this review.

Nia has been doing my nails for about seven years and she is the best. She is concerned about the health of your nails and not just doing your nails for the money like so many nail shops around this area. So if you are looking for a place to get your nails done, you should go see Nia!
