When you need to satisfy your sushi craving for cheap, Joa Sushi is the place! It is certainly not the best sushi that I’ve had but the prices are good and they make it quick. They have some lunch specials and combo specials that are a good deal. I noticed that they have korean fried chicken that I might have to try next time.

Joa is a great stop for sushi to go! Their are open when some of the other sushi places are not. They have traditional rolls and specialty rolls. All good. Overall — good quality though their portions maybe a bit smaller than their competitors.

I went here to lunch today with my wife. She ordered a Rainbow Roll and California Roll. I had the sushi bento box(5 pieces of sushi, 4 pieces of cali roll, 4 pieces of tempura and garden salad). My wife’s rainbow roll looked unremarkable, but she said it was good. My tempura batter was a little thick. My sushi was good, but unremarkable. The salad dressing was a little thick for me, but it still tasted good. Overall, this place was okay. The owner was very nice. Next time I come, I will want to try their fried chicken wings. They smelled pretty good.

This is awesome place to get your sushi! Try a new roll, «Maria’s Clue». This is one of my new favorite roll. Sushi rolls are all good and fresh as well as their Broaster chicken wings!

This is my go to lunch spot when I’m craving sushi. Also great for takeout on the way home. It’s nothing fancy but it’s well priced and always tastes delicious. Plus the family that runs it is super friendly. I definitely recommend trying it out if you’re in the area.

Good sushi for take-out. This is one of our local take-out staples. Quick, dependable, typical sushi menu. Nothing too fancy. Their Super Spicy roll is a combo of horseradish, sriacha, and some other spice which is intense but also interesting flavor-wise. The spicy tuna and shrimp tempura and good, fresh stand-bys. Good smoothies too!

Really good sushi take-out. We even tried their broasters chicken wings after they gave us a sample the last time we were there. Wings were good but I would probably stick with the sushi going forward personally. Still good quality and tasty chicken though.

Great friendly staff. They just started carrying broasted chicken which seems to render a crisper skin than the traditional fried chicken such as KFC. I’m not sure about other broasted chicken franchises but they offer some interesting flavors for the wings. The sweet and spicy was really spicy. And that’s saying something. I also tried the soy orange chicken which was closer to the Korean fried chicken that they sell at Soho café. At a much lower price.

Super friendly staff. Specials are great. I’m always happy with the quality of the food when i go. I’ve been going since day one and they are still wonderful.

I cannot say enough about Joa Sushi. I sometimes eat here for lunch 2 – 3 times a week. The sushi tastes very fresh and everything is made to order. The My Wife’s Favorite Roll is a deep fried california roll(tempura batter) and for $ 5.99 it is a meal all it’s own. They have a great selection of creative rolls or they will make whatever you want. It is a small café-type place with about 6 tables and it seems like most of their business is take out. Very nice family that owns it and I am proud to patronize a local business!

Really solidly good food. You can eat there, but their takeout is super convenient. My favorites are the bibimbop(they’ll make it without meat if you don’t eat beef like me), the udon soup, and the healthy bento, which comes with salad, soup, sushi, and dumplings.

Time for an update! Sadly, I no longer live in Lansdale but I will still recommend this place. Since they’ve opened, the family owners have greatly extended their menu and services(I may be mistaken, but I think they cater now??) They’ve certainly come a long way from just a 1 page paper menu to a full sized ACTUAL semi-professional menu, with fruit smoothies to serve as well! Wow it was sure something to see how far this little place has come. I’ll miss Joa Sushi. Stay delicious!!!

Decent sushi. Tastes fresh. No bar to sit at and it looks to be a hot spot for takeout. I’m not a fan of Togo sushi. prefer it fresh off the line. Prices seem a bit high compared to some city spots I used to frequent in philly, but now I live out in the burbs so perhaps I’m just not used to the pricing structure out here. I would stop here again for a quick bite.

I love Joa. The staff is always very friendly and the sushi is tasty and well priced. I can’t get enough of their spicy tuna. They also have some really good lunch specials; I wish I had more occasion to go there for lunch! The restaurant is small and maybe not the most glamorous, but I think they do a lot more take-out than sit down dining, although I usually sit down to eat when I am there. The staff are super nice and always willing to accommodate whatever you need. Besides the sushi the only thing I have had on their menu is their Udon(I forget which one), but I remember it was pretty good. I only wish they were open on Sundays, but since it is a small family run place I understand that everyone needs a day off :)

I’ve been going to Joa’s for at least 5 or so years now. I’m very picky when it comes to my sushi and they are the best in the area. The sushi is always fresh(NOHARDRICE, EW! Unlike noboru on 309) Made to order especially for you. Great young couple owns the place and always ask me how my uncle is doing…(he’s 84 and brings in his wendy’s hamburger because he is not a fan of raw fish and other asian cuisine and they just under stand and let him do it) what other restaurant would be so nice as to accommodate pretty much anything and any one. Pleasant atmosphere, people/service and great food all around an A+. Some other sushi restaurants can learn a thing or two.

This is decent, relatively inexpensive sushi in the ‘burbs. It is a colorful place with friendly service. It makes me hate lunchtime much less.

I’ve stopped by Joa several times for a take-out dinner. The service is always pretty friendly, and the wait for your food is never long, which is nice after a long day. I usually get the bento boxes, which run about $ 15. They’re a good value, and you have a few options that are pretty decent. I’ve had a few of their rolls, which have all been tasty. By no means is this a gourmet sushi experience, but it’s really great for a quick dinner, or if you’ve got a craving.

Smaller sushi place that provides a good alternative to the Wendy’s and Burger King that it’s next to. 7 – 8 tables or so with snacks and smoothies along with sushi. We’ve had lunch here a few times and it’s always been ok. Not bad, but nothing stands out, either. Lunch comes with a fairly large soup, and they usually serve the sushi fairly quickly. You won’t look at any of the rolls and be struck by their appearance, but every one we’ve had has tasted ok. Their salmon tastes rather fishy compared to other local places that I’ve been to. And their version of crunchy rolls are rolls made normally with tempura flakes dumped on top. Definitely #3 of the 3 sushi places I can easily make it to on a lunch break, but it’s also cheaper, so it gets by in a pinch.
