This location closed as of January 16, 2015. Sunday Brunch. Food was excellent, hot, much better than the typical brunch buffet. Service was attentive, drinks were well made and promptly delivered. Omelet station cook was friendly, quick and professional(he doubled as the carver for ham and prime rib). And yet, selection seemed a bit limited. Never associated mac ‘n cheese with Irish cooking and yet got the impression it was the signature dish on the buffet. The mini bagels they put out with the lox were borderline stale. Overall, at $ 18 a person, was expecting to be wowed and left feeling, meh! Maybe it was because the place was empty, maybe it just seemed so unprofessional to watch(and listen to) the staff standing around shooting the breeze but the whole experience was just ordinary. Will we go back? Probably, but only for something special. At this price it’s just not worth making a habit of brunch at M

Stopped going here a few years ago and just heard the news they closed for good… Writing was on the wall… Too bad… Hopefully the next owners have their shit together…

Really nice room. That’s the only good thing I can say. Beer list is typical, bartender a weirdo, and food pretty terrible. I was there on a Saturday afternoon outside of normal eating hours, so I don’t know if the kitchen was filled with non-cooks or what, but the appetizers were pretty awful and cold(nachos and wings). We thought we were ordering«safe» items. If it tells you anything, we left to go eat at Applebee’s instead.

I don’t think the other reviews are right. I really like the atmosphere of this place. Had the best fish and chips ever. The fish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They gave a lot of french fries. The Reubens are also delicious-the most tender corned beef my husband says he ever had. Beer was good. Waiters were really helpful & tentative. May be a little pricy, but I thought it was worth it.

Dublin in Lansdale PA? Yep, from the moment you enter to the bottom of your last pint. Traditional Irish music fills the air the second you walk in. Many brogues will be quick to great you. Deep rich wooden décor, the most amazing and wonderful cut wood podiums behind the bar with about 15 stools with padding for your bum. Multiple taps with about 25 beers flowing. Now brace yourself, lunch specials start at $ 5. You heard me correct $ 5 and nothing is over $ 9. You would think at that price dishes would be about the size of a teacup, not. I’m 6 foot 3&240 lbs. and the Irish stew with lamb chunks and potatoes was not only amazing, but filling. All your Mcfan favorites such as beef Sheppard’s pie(I do prefer lamb or a combo) and of course corn beef any which way you choose. Always craft beer specials with pints ranging from $ 3 to $ 6 depending on the day and time. Mon-Sat half price happy hour! A warm friendly family look and feel. This guys sold.

Service was horrible!!! Three people in my party, we ordered Irish nachos, onion soup and a Ruben sandwich. Irish nachos were good, but took a while to get to the table. The soup and sandwich took well over an hour and at least 25 min from finishing the nachos. After we asked where the treaty of our food was, it quickly got to the table, and had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. Moving to the bar wasn’t much better. Bartenders were hardly friendly, and took a while to get another drink. Not to mention at least 15 min to get my tab at the end of a very long dining experience. Will not be returning.

Ok. Beer could be a bit lower. You have pizza pub in hatfield, with a much larger beer selection, and cheaper beer. For Molly’s prices you should just got to moms in doylestown. Other than that it’s one of the nicest bars in lansdale.

The first thing I noticed when walking into Molly Maguire’s would be the ambiance and décor. The place hit a traditional Irish pubs’ décor on spot. Unfortunately, they could not get the basic Irish grub down as for the Sheppard’s pie was not very good and the fish n’ chips were very sub-par for an Irish joint. I’d say this is a good place for happy hour and to catch a few good brews in the evening, but I wouldn’t go back and eat again.

Visited the Lansdale location Tuesday evening, June 10th with a friend. We both sat at the bar for a casual dinner, and a few beers. Our bartender was quick to mention the drink special of the day, and checked on us often. She provided great service and had a warm personality. Unfortunately I did not catch her name or I would mention it here. We both had the Prime Burger, which was thick and flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I opted for bacon and a fried egg on mine, which was delicious. My friend just had cheese on his. We both commented on the quality of the beef. Both came with seasoned fries, which were enjoyable. Overall, this was a good visit on an otherwise rainy Tuesday night. I will return to this location soon!

I met my mother-in-law there for a Sunday lunch. I almost drove by the place on Main St, so keep your eyes open. The inside looks like an irish pub. Our server was great. She was attentitive and overall on top of everything. I ordered a lite beer. It’s the new year, so I need to conserve the calories! They do serve brunch on Sundays, but I stuck to the lunch menu and ordered the Something Healthy wrap style. It had grilled eggplant, pea shoots, zucchini, roasted red peppers, fresh greens, GOATCHEESE, and a pesto mayo. YUMMO. It was divine and I’m hoping there wasn’t a ton of oil in it because it had so much flavor. It was a little on the messy side, so I don’t suggest it for a first date food. The mother-in-law ordered Molly’s Mac and Cheese. It was delish. Their menu is comprised of bar food, irish food, and some eclectic options like Chicken Curry and Jerk Chicken. I would definitely return in the future. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but if I’m meeting the in-laws again, I would certainly suggest this place.

We visited this place for the first time in a couple of years recently simply because a friends birthday was being hosted here. We bought two rounds of drinks on our cards and were charged twice for each round. All of our friends also experienced the same thing. Some three times. Another friend that visited the day after had the same thing happen. We called to complain and they said they had a glitch in the system and would return our money 10 days later. It finally arrived with no apology. This is not the first time this has happened to us at this bar, hence the reason we hadn’t been back there. Personally I don’t care whether it’s incompetence of straight theft. I won’t be back

Molly Maguire’s is probably the nicest place to drink in Lansdale. It really adds to the town’s attempt to spruce up Main Street. The ambiance is warm and cozy with a distinct Irish theme and a beautiful bar. I’ve gone here a few times for appetizers and drinks. Overall the food is tasty — try the fried pickles and potato griddle cakes. Drinks are good but somewhat pricey so be prepared to pay. Service is usually on point. A solid option for the suburbs.

Definitely a great irish-style place! Fun irish-esch décor /ambiance. Went there for Lunch(so caution — the place was not crowded and we received excellent service) — Excellent Irish coffee, and a good selection as well! +Guinness tap Really good /simple/delicious menu! Nothing out of the ordinary — eye catching — or impressive left me wanting for more. and that’s why the 4 stars.

They just came out with a new menu a few days before our first visit. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and bottled. I had the French onion soup which to me was very bland but I love to make my own soup hence maybe that was why I wasn’t a fan. I also had the fish tacos. They could of been warmer but they were excellent. They were stuffed with fish and slaw. I had to take half of it home with me. We met and chatted with the owner Adam. I told him my thoughts of my meal and he offered to have my tacos reheated but I told him no as I enjoyed the taste and didn’t want them to get dried out. Over all we enjoyed our food and drinks and we would go back.

We attended an event here and were impressed with the warm and beautifully-executed Irish theme, lots of wood and red and coziness. There are many different rooms and a number of outside spaces for hanging out — don’t miss the one upstairs. I could not spot one thing on the menu for a vegan, but we go to Arnold’s Way for great raw food when in the area. Molly’s is of course a good place for a beer. There is one of these in Lansdale and another one coming in Downingtown, which is quickly becoming a fancy beer town. There is even *another* Molly’s in Jim Thorpe, but I don’t think it is related to these, which were started by two Irishmen who worked together in the corporate world. Given the bloody labor history involved with the actual group, the Molly Maguires, exploited Irish workers in the coal regions of PA in the 1800s, I hope the place treats it workers equitably.

I decided to stop in here for dinner with my girlfriend since we’ve frequented the Molly Maguire’s in Phoenixville, without a visit at an opportune time for dining. Between this location and Tabora Farms at the other end of the block, this is really the only sign of life on the street it’s located in Lansdale. I’d hope that more store fronts and restaurants continue to populate the main street, but it’s still far from a neighborhood revitalization, so it’s difficult to «bar crawl» around the area. Molly Maguire’s did a solid job revitalizing this location, which is much longer than it is wide. They have a long straight bar with approximately 24 beers on tap lined with high tops that run about 2/3rds of the length of the building. At the back of the establishment, there is a dining area. They have outside seating and appear to also have seating available upstairs(similar to the Phoenixville location). The menu is well themed with many takes on Irish food and they also have specials, including a «macaroni and cheese du jour.» The menu gives the appeal of a typical franchise business, not surprising since they continue to expand their locations. For appetizers we had the Irish Nachos and the Reuben Spring Rolls. These dishes resemble typical pub fare and were good in quality. The Irish Nachos include waffle fries, ham, tomato, scallions, and cheese; the dish is not as cheesy as you’d expect for nachos and were a little lackluster compared to my expectations. The Reuben Spring rolls were good, some more corned beef in the recipe would make them even better. We both had the Fisherman’s Wharf for dinner that includes a sampling of many of their seafood offerings: scallops, shrimp, crab cakes, and cod including a side of cole slaw and corn. All of the fish was perfectly cooked, but lacked seasoning. Since corn was out of season, the buttered corn was not fresh and soft. The cole slaw was very good with the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar. The service here was satisfactory. They’ve done a great job revitalizing, but aren’t great in their delivery of a great dining experience, but this is one of the better places to stop around Lansdale.

I’ve been to Molly’s a bunch of times, and I’m awfully fond of it. The food is generally pretty good. Their menu changes often, so it’s hard to review their dishes when they could change next week, but the veggie burger is actually one of the best I’ve ever had. The flatbreads are also delicious, made with what appears to be soft naan and fresh vegetables, though I have no idea what kind of evil mastermind came up with the idea that anyone could possibly eat one with their hands without experiencing an ingredient avalanche. Last time I came here, my boyfriend and I shared the soda bread pudding, and I’m actually writing this from my grave right now, because it killed me. It was that good. The beer selection is great, and the service is always friendly. This place is a bright spot in the wasteland of Lansdale, PA in terms of atmosphere. It’s quiet and relaxed during lunch hours, and lively without being overwhelming during dinner.

I don’t know. Maybe I look for different things, and I haven’t eaten all that much food here(some wings which were fine, shared some Irish nachos which were great if you hate your arteries), but if you’re going for drinks and atmosphere, I like it. They have a good selection of draft and bottled beer including beers of the Irish persuasion and craft brews along with your standards. They pour a proper Guinness, which I always enjoy, and there is usually room to have a seat at the bar or a table. I’ve gone for live music on Friday/Saturday nights and that’s when it’s the most crowded that I’ve seen. I’ve also been for discount Guinness on Thursday even and that crowd is a bit more sparse. It’s a fun local place for St. Patty’s, though 2012 was visibly less crowded than 2011. Oh, and lovely outdoor seating for al fresco dining and imbibing. I also forgot that three times now I’ve had the Guinness stew(I guess I have had a fair amount to eat there). It’s not for light summer eating, but if you need something to stick to your ribs and leave you feeling all warm and sleepy in the middle of winter, pair this with a Guinness or two and you’ll be all set. I love that stuff and the Irish soda bread that comes with it. Comfort food at its finest. My main concern is that they’ll close. They’re a step ahead of other dive bars in Lansdale and with Round Guys having opened across the street, that corner is looking to be a mainstay in the town. I hope it lasts!

Went for happy hour. Definitely good value because appetizers are half price. Had their potato cakes, which are like large latkes or potato pancakes with irish bacon and cheese. Served along side with some horseradish flavored sour cream. Definitely good. Also had the irish bread pudding for dessert which is made with their house made brown bread, chocked full of raisins and finished with a caramel whisky sauce. Moist and delicious.

This rating is only for the food. We didn’t drink during lunch, so I can’t rate it for the drinking atmosphere/selection. I went here with co-workers for lunch during a going away party. The menu is extensive, but I found the food to be disappointing. I ordered the Irish Stew lunch and it was cold in various spots in the bowl. That means they just reheated the stew. If you’re going to do that, heat it thoroughly. Also, it was very floury and mostly potatoes.
