My boyfriend Drew and I are very pleased with the assistance we received from Robert Gaylord at Sleepy’s this past Saturday. He was helpful, respectful and even funny at times. Full of information and choices. He made us feel like his buddies just trying to get a good deal while finding us a perfect bed for the two of our comfort needs.

What initially was a pleasant experience turned out to be a horrible revealing of a scam! I am moving out with my girlfriend and this was our first mattress buying experience. We were a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect. Our sales associate was named Joe. He was helpful in letting us try different beds and we found one that was«On sale». It was a Simmons Recharge mattress. Sensing how green we were, Joe talked us up and threw in a «free» basic bed frame and charged an additional $ 50 for a mattress protector. Not knowing what to expect, we thought we were getting a good deal. BOYWEWEREWRONG! The Product: The full sized mattress«On Sale» was $ 950.00 but only worth about $ 500 online. The mattress protector was $ 50 but only worth about $ 20 online. The box spring was given«free» but is of poor quality. The center leg is loose and the frame is not sturdy. The weak frame makes noise with the slightest movement on the bed. Basic box frame. The delivery charge was $ 99.00 and was a whole other story in itself. Delivery: The delivery guys came at the end of a 4 hour window. If we would have known this, we wouldn’t have to wait around for half a day wasting our time. Once they came, they didn’t show any form of identification. The only reason we assumed they worked for Sleepy’s was becuase of the Sleepy’s truck. We were reluctant to let them enter our home, however what choice do we have while waiting for our $ 1,000 bed?! Without saying much, the delivery men promptly setup the mattress, box frame, and bed frame. We asked if we could thoroughly inspect everything before they left. This is an IMPORANT step becuase any little tear or stain will VOID the proclaimed«worry free warranty». The delivery men were confused and didn’t understand our request. They eventually said«okay» but made us feel like we were wasting their time. The delivery men also gave us the cheap mattress liner Joe up sold us on. As they delivery men were leaving, my girlfriend promptly puts the liner in the washing machine thinking we were done with the ordeal. 10 minutes later, we get a phone call from the delivery men. They told us they gave us the WRONG mattress liner! We told them we already opened and put it into the washing machine. Their response was«Why didn’t you check before opening it? Can you quickly put it in the dryer? We will be back». Dumbfounded and insulted by their response, we angrily put it in the dryer. The men came back in 20 minutes but the mattress cover was not yet dry. The delivery men gave us an attitude as if this was OUR fault. We told them to come back in 30 minutes. They had no choice and said«okay». We called them in 30 minutes and they told USTOWAITFORTHEM! We already waited all day for the mattress! What the Hell were these guys thinking?! They insisted they were on the way back however, they didn’t arrive for another HOUR! Once they arrived they gave us the mattress liner and put the other one back in the BAG! No apology and no compensation was given for our wasted time. I feel sorry for the next customer who they delivered that too, as the product is no longer NEW. The delivery was a nightmare and THEYCOMPLETELY wasted our time. Disgusted with the experience so far, We went to a local sleepy’s were we returned the mattress liner and got our $ 50.00 back, or so we thought. Joe gave us a follow up call later that evening. We explained our experience and he stated that he would issue a refund for the delivery. We also told him we returned the mattress liner. As a promise of good faith, Joe said he would send us one for free because he «wanted us to have one». Fast forward 1 week, and have have no refund and no mattress liner. We called Joe back and he said the refund was NEVER Processed. We were FURIOUS! We could not understand why it was not immediately refunded when we returned the merchandise at the sleepy’s store! Joe had a heated argument with my girlfriend and said«You are getting upset over $ 50.00». We have every right to be upset even if it was over 1 cent! 2 days later, the refunds were processed however, no mattress liner was ever sent. We don’t expect Joe to ever send one now. Sleepy’s is a rip off company with scam sales associates that treat you like they are selling used cars. The delivery service is completely unprofessional. They DONOT process returns in a timely manner even when you give them their merchandise back. God forbid we ever have to call them again for warranty concerns or other issues. We will NEVERDO business with them again, and I will make sure everyone and the internet knows not to as well.

Larry was amazing! We ended up driving over 20 miles to order a mattress from him at the Warrington store. SUPER professional, GREAT information, WONDERFUL selection. We would order another mattress from Sleepy’s and would ask for Larry every time.
