A very intimate little restaurant. It’s in an older set of row homes that was made into one building on Main Street. You walk in and there is a little bakery display full of baklava and other great treats, and there are other middle eastern foods you can buy. The place was very quiet except for the sound of Lebanese music playing. I ordered the chicken shawarma, along with tabouleh. The only other place I had gone to to get shawarma was Reading Terminal, and what made this better was how amazingly fresh it is. The chef and owner is a very serious person, but he is an amazing cook and really knows what he is doing. Fresh mint, fresh onions, fresh parsley, fresh tomatoes, fresh potatoes, chicken(not one piece of gristle) and delicious tahini sauce. Food was hot and came to us fast. Did not skimp on the portion either. I will definitely be back, more than once.

I don’t know where these guys are hiding their garden; the food was so fresh it’s like it just came out of the ground. Everything was beautifully prepared. Our shawarma was garnished with fresh orange and parsley, the pita was thin but not brittle, perfect. I saw someone else got baba ganoush that looked just stunning. The tabouleh really wowed me – I was just kidding about them hiding a garden somewhere, but I’m certain they’ve got a few pots of parsley growing back there, that stuff was fresh. Lots of vegetarian options, excellent Turkish coffee poured in front of you(some restaurants skip that part for some reason). Highly recommended.

A truly authentic lebanese meal expertly prepared. A great dining experience — the real deal. Also great for catering. My relatives who«know some stuff» about Arabic food were most impressed. Try it. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent quality, the owner was professional and delightful, and his food was exquisite. You have to finish off with dessert as his pastries are to die for, and I never enjoyed cauliflower so much in my life! Nice ambiance !!!

I am struggling to understand the rave reviews for this place. We went on a Tuesday night. One other table was occupied when we came. The owner was friendly. Food was just ok. The tabouleh and the cauliflower were very good, chicken, hummus and dolmas were ok, but the kibbe was very dry and had clearly been microwaved.(We heard the microwave beeping a few times during our visit, as he nuked the food). From the other reviews, I am guessing maybe if you go on a weekend when there are more patrons, the food is freshly made, but perhaps during the slower weeknights you get some food that has been pre-made and reheated.

WONDERFUL. Everything is very fresh, the iced tea is amazing(try it — fruit, mint, everything is in there). VERY vegan-friendly. Vegetarian sampler has a little bit of everything — the nearly-stewed green beans always end up disappearing first… and if you want a garlic fix, the eggplant and pasta is like nothing you’ve ever had before. Did I mention«fresh»? And the sweets, although not vegan, are apparently just delicious. Bring cash. Family-run, authentic, yummy. Worth finding! Street parking — I’ve never had an issue. Go and enjoy.

Everything at Oasis is made to perfection! A special treat is the falafel shwarma — everything is fresh and delicious! The dining area is «intimate» and it’s BYOB. Highly recommend you try Oasis if you haven’t yet!

This is one of the hidden gems in Lansdale. Its rare to find food this unique. I was guided to the oasis by a family friend I thought that as a picky eater I would not really be eating, I was mistaken. The Hummus, and Chicken Shawarma wrap were some of my favorites. The Iced Tea was to die for, I wish I could bottle this and have it all the time. I don’t remember anything ever tasting this delicious. If you want middle eastern food in this area, you need to go here. If you want to try something unique, this place wont dissapoint!

«This is the restaurant?», I asked Mike. Aside from the small sign hanging from the top corner of the porch, The Oasis Restaurant in Lansdale looks like a modest duplex in need some tender loving care. Inside, the place reminds you of the small ‘mom and pop’ kind of places that are run by a family out of their own home. The smells of middle eastern delicacies cooking in the back kitchen greet you as you enter the front door, hinting at a richness in the food that contrasts with the simple style of the restaurant’s décor. After being seated at our table, we looked over the menu and decided what to order. There were a lot of interesting and different options to choose from, many of them vegetarian. We picked a variety of dishes with the intent of sharing amongst our four person party. After a bit of a wait, primarily because the only waiter in the restaurant was kept very busy servicing all the tables in the two-room dining area, our appetizers arrived. We had two types of hummus, both the complementary plain and another bowl with ground beef in the center. The plain hummus was pedestrian, but the addition of spicy ground beef brought it to another level. Tearing pieces of warm pita and sharing them with each other, we scooped up generous dollops of the hummus and a creamy taramosalata(greek style caviar with minced tomatoes and olives). Then came bowls of cauliflower with a yogurt sauce, very good indeed, and a flaky-crusted spanakopita that melted in your mouth. For entrees, we had ordered the Almaza — a two person Lebanese platter of hummostahini, falafel nuggets, cauliflower delight, olives, hot bread, stuffed grape leaves, chicken kabobs, greek salad, and cocktail sized kibbe. We also ordered two of the«sandwiches», the chicken shawarma and the london broil shawarma. More like wraps than sandwiches, these shawarma were pleasant enough and more than satisfying in their volume. But it was the Almaza that made the meal special for us and is definitely worth the visit. Each person in our party had a favorite item on the platter, and not all the same, with more than enough food to go around. The chicken kabobs were well seasoned and the zucchini was very tasty. We all enjoyed the falafel nuggets, crunchy on the outside and warm in the center. It was a wonderful sampling that spoke directly to the obvious love being poured out in the kitchen at the back of the house. We have eaten at many restaurants that, on outer appearances, vastly overshadow this modest little restaurant on Main St in Lansdale. But with food that makes you feel like you’re eating in the old country, and service that comes from a desire to make you feel at home, this place gives you a sense of the hospitality for which its culture is known. Yes indeed, Mike, this is the restaurant.

Try the roasted cauliflower appetizer! With the white(tahini) sauce! It’s amazing. Also, treat yourself to a pitcher of the fruit and mint tea. This place is a gem in the heart of Lansdale. It’s really intimate and feels like you’re going to a friend’s house for dinner. A friend who makes amazing food.

I don’t claim to be an expert on Middle Eastern food but my husband and I got take out the other night and everything was delicious. Falafel platter was tasty, babaganoush was very good(though different than what I was used to) and the chicken shawarma wrap was so good that I got it again for lunch today. Very friendly owner. Little tough to find(located on a house and shares a sign with the dry cleaners) but worth the search. Honestly I was a little intimidated feeling like I was walking into someone’s house but I’m glad I went for it!

We Egyptians and Alsham(Syria & Lebanon) share a lot in our cuisine. This place was below average. Salads are above average. Desserts looked very good. Main Dishes and platters need more improvements. If you are craving for middle eastern/Mediterranean foods, go there that’s fine. I definitely experienced much better in the Phillie, Allentown(where all the Lebanese and Syrians are) and Devon areas.

The location was a little tough to find. I didn’t realize it was in a house. It threw us off when we first walked in(it is an old house, dining room is in what was once the living room). You get used to it pretty quickly and get into the swing of things. The owner/server was polite, but a little unpolished as we were trying to get seated. We we’re the only couple there, but I think we came in the middle of a project or something. Once we got into the server-patron groove everything else went smoothly. The food was really good, and the portions were large. The iced tea was great. It has an orange flavor too it, including an orange slice which I had never had before. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it is cash only, but there are no signs or warnings. We didn’t find out until it came time to pay the check(panic attack!). He must get this a lot because he knew where all the ATMs were in the area. I ran across the street to the walgreens and we were able to settle up, but this wasn’t the best way to end a meal in my opinion. I will definitely be back again, albeit a little more prepared next time.

Wow! What a find on Main St. Evidently its been there for 20+ years and I never knew it. Easy to miss as it looks like a residential house but don’t miss out on the great food! Salad, Falafel, hummus all deelish! Cant wait to go again.

This place is great! We had heard about this place from numerous friends and were excited to try it out. It definitely has a unique atmosphere. We were told it feels like dining in someone’s house, and that certainly isn’t an understatement. While I thought that might have the potential to feel a bit awkward, it was a pleasantly homey experience. We had heard a lot about the chicken schwarma, and in addition to the name of the dish being immensely fun to say, the chicken schwarma here is delicious. Our friends’ recommendations of this place and of the chicken schwarma were a spot on and we’ll definitely be back soon to try out the rest of the menu!

This is a cute local Mediterranean restaurant set in the owner’s row home. There is also a porch with tables outside which was nice. A lot of diners has wine with them which is convenient. We got the free pita and hummus to start with, i wish the pita was crispy not a just flat cold bread, but the hummus was really good. I also ordered the chicken schwarma… but still not sure if i got the non chicken version, it was a bit hard to tell. The portion is huge! But it was pretty good and had tons of sauce inside as well as pickles. The Mediterranean platter had really good salads and beans although a bit strong vinegar flavor. I thought the falafel was a bit overcooked and dry but my husband really loved them. Finally we got the spinach and feta pocket which was not good at all, and barely had anything inside of the heavy pastry with a strong sour flavor but did come with a simple side salad. I did like my honey cake as it was really really sweet and chewy, but my husband didn’t enjoy that either. So overall it is a bit hit or miss on the food, but the portions are huge. Yes the wait will be long(about 2 hours we spend there) so if you are in a hurry I’d recommend trying somewhere else!

A true hidden gem. So hidden, in fact, that after 20+ years of living in the area I only recently discovered this establishment and only thanks to Unilocal! The Oasis inconspicuously sits on Main Street in Lansdale in a twin home with minimal signage. It’s VERY easy to miss. The interior as about as modest as the exterior. The layout is clearly that of a person’s home. You walk into what was probably the living room, you are lead into the dining room and the kitchen is in what was probably the actual kitchen of the home. There are maybe 8 tables total. When my party of 3 arrived around 7 pm we were the only patrons in the dining room, however shortly after 3 more tables were full. These people were obviously regulars and we could overhear some discussion of their preferences from previous meals. I found the speed of service to be adequate and the server/owner was very friendly, gracious and helpful. I’ve eaten Lebanese food many times before but my mother and sister were novices and had a few questions to be answered. This was no issue. We started off with the labneh and hummus with pita. The pita came out hot and the spreads were both delectable. I especially enjoyed the labneh — the spices were perfect and it was delightfully cool and creamy. We were also served complimentary spicy olives. Onto entrees: My sister ordered the chicken shawarma which was literally the size of her head. For $ 7 it was a ton of food and she said it was delicious. My mother had the shish taouk(chicken kabob). I was able to steal a few pieces of chicken… it was moist and sooo flavorful. I also really enjoyed the accompaniment of Middle Eastern rice — again, bold flavors. I went with the Middle Eastern Sampler which consisted of tabbouleh, babagonnouge, falafel nuggets and sauteed green beans. The tabbouleh was the perfect«side salad» to the meal — light and acidic. The falafel nuggets were tasty but too dry. The babegonnouge was smooth and creamy — I asked for some extra pita for this. The green beans were excellent — more bold flavors — I don’t want to eat regular steamed green beans ever again! For dessert we chose a few cookies from the bakery case in the next room. I don’t remember specifically which ones we chose but they seemed to be hit or miss — some were perfectly sweet but others bland and crumbly. Ultimately I’m ashamed and just SAD that it took me this long to discover Oasis! I will definitely be coming back here when the craving for Lebanese food hits. This restaurant is one of a kind in Lansdale and its praises should continue to be sung! Do note this establishment is CASHONLY.
